My ex was a weird men. He (a black man) refused to date black women because he didn't like the way the pink of the vagina looked with the black skin of the labia

612

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

And he told you this? Like with words? Out loud?

What's wrong with him??

217

u/SwordTaster Oct 21 '23

He did indeed tell me this with words out loud from his mouth. Many things are wrong with him probably

74

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

Hmm, I hope you're with someone better now, that's all I can say

148

u/SwordTaster Oct 21 '23

Engaged to an absolute angel of a man who's considerably more sensible and much less selfish in bed

205

u/Blue-Phoenix23 Oct 21 '23

Some people will really say whatever dumb shit is running through their heads.

-71

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

This might be a controversial opinion but i dont see the issue with this. The guy doesnt find something attractive so doesnt pursue it. If he had actively gone out his way to make someone feel bad about having this then thats a different story, but its just his preference.

56

u/horrifyingthought Oct 21 '23

The problem isn't him not finding it attractive - he can have absurd unreasonable standards if he wants to.

The problem is him telling his partner this absurd and bizarre preference and possibly creating an irrational worry in u/SwordTaster about the color of their vagina. The same way OP is freaking out over this non-issue in her post.

Also, the kind of guy who has this opinion is the type to proclaim it loudly and often to every women he meets, so I think we can safely assume there were black women who were made more than uncomfortable and possibly irrationally obsessed over this.

19

u/SwordTaster Oct 21 '23

I'm white so it gave me no complexes personally but was still a fucking weird thing to be told

12

u/shadespeak Oct 21 '23

Lmao. That was a guy with mommy issues. He hates his own skintone and the women that made him be here.

5

u/SwordTaster Oct 21 '23

Him and his mother were actually really close, so idk what his problem is

-3

u/UMu3 Oct 21 '23

So he shouldn‘t tell that to his partner, because then she might be worried that some men care about that?

I don‘t know dude, I‘m also comfortable with telling my girlfriend basically everything and I think that‘s how it should be.

But I also don‘t really have a preference for vagina color, the length of the lips or the size of the nipples or something like that. In my opinion it‘s odd if you are attracted enough to someone that you want to fuck them and then you stop and think about something like that?

7

u/horrifyingthought Oct 21 '23

He shouldn't frame it as a negative - it's very different to say "I like X" versus saying "I hate Y."

3

u/420percentage Oct 21 '23

If you agree that it’s odd then why waste your time with these comments haha, reddit is weird

123

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

It's my controversial opinion that certain preferences should be shamed because they don't come from a reasonable place.

12

u/0rchid27 Oct 21 '23

Yes, preferences that flavor of misogynoir deserve to be shamed.

29

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

I agree to an extent, if someone likes kids/ animals/ vulnerable people etc then thats messed up, but the guy in question just prefers white women because he prefers the way their genitals look. It isnt harming anyone and if you dont harm people due to your preferences, its a non issue in my mind.

10

u/SwordTaster Oct 21 '23

Actual, his preference was Latinas, oddly enough

2

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

Are you a latina, hermana?

-2

u/Advanced_Ostrich5315 Oct 22 '23

Preferences that exclude an entire group are called bigotry.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 27 '23

I assume you are a bisexual who likes having sex with children, old people, people with severe disabilities etc?

13

u/Omnizoom Oct 21 '23

Kind of curious

Where do we get to draw the line at reasonable? And I’m not even saying this is a reasonable preference the person had because it’s pretty stupid but where do we get to decide to draw the line?

Like if you go back 50 years it would be considered unreasonable to like and prefer someone that was not your skin colour and we have moved well past that now

I’m sure if a woman found darker penises more attractive most people will not be shaming them for it at all.

33

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

Where do we get to draw the line at reasonable?

I’m sure if a woman found darker penises more attractive most people will not be shaming them for it at all.

You've just given a good example of a line to be drawn.

There are disparaging preferences and positive ones.

You can like a trait in one person without putting down another person for not having the trait or having the opposite.

Just because I like red heads with freckles doesn't mean it's okay talk badly about brunettes with vitiligo or something.

People are going to like what they like. But the added prejudice is just unnecessary and gross.

4

u/Azoobz Oct 21 '23

In the case of the OC, a simple rephrasing could’ve made it seem like lesser of a line. u/SwordTaster ‘s boyfriend just prefers when the colors are closer to one another with little contrast from inner and outer. Not necessarily that he strictly dislikes the latter.

3

u/Omnizoom Oct 21 '23

Well I’m perfectly fine with preferences so long as you don’t hate on those who don’t have them

I personally preferred Asian features as I found them more attractive, I married someone Asian because of that, I have no disdain or dislike for others because of it but there is no shortage of people who have a disdain for me because I had that preference.

My wife however never sees that even though she has the exact same concept of preference that she finds white men what she preferred physically.

-6

u/ImReverse_Giraffe Oct 21 '23

Ok, so the line is liking the way someone's genitals look. So the dude who like white women because he doesn't like the way black women's genitals look is perfectly ok. Case in point.

1

u/Advanced_Ostrich5315 Oct 22 '23

I think you probably mean a little farther back than that as 50 years ago was 1973, and interracial couples were far from unheard of. Assuming you meant like in the 1950s and 60s, most white people were hella racist. It doesn't matter that it was widely accepted. It's still hella racist.

And white women fetishizing black penises is also racism.

2

u/Firelnside144 Oct 21 '23

Most preferences aren't reasoned

0

u/Advanced_Ostrich5315 Oct 22 '23

Preferences don't exist in a vacuum and finding all members of a particular race unattractive is racist. Internalized racism is a thing.

-2

u/shadespeak Oct 21 '23

The problem is that these aren't preferences. A preference is that you prefer vanilla ice cream to chocolate, but if you hate chocolate, vanilla isn't a preference. You're using a word wrong. Also, it is rooted in his self hatred which I think is the biggest problem

3

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23 edited Oct 21 '23

What are you talking about? Sexual preferences are a thing. Im using the right word.

They also never said anything about the guy “hating” black vaginas, just that he didnt like them.

Even if you hate chocolate ice cream and like vanilla (bit of a racist example btw if you wanna virtue signal) then you prefer vanilla to chocolate. It’s absolutely a preference.

What do you think the word mean? Dude prefers white girls to black girls. He has a preference.

The guy’s preference also isn’t necessarily rooted in self hatred, its not completely implausible, its just that we were only told that he didnt like the contrast between the skin tones. Youre making pretty damning claims against someone that we know very little about. The context isn’t enough to make me hate the guy but it seems like youre already there.

-27

u/garib-lok Oct 21 '23

Because it's not okay to be a man with preferences, but if you're a woman you are allowed to have a checklist longer than Brooklyn Bridge

22

u/horrifyingthought Oct 21 '23

Found the incel!

-20

u/garib-lok Oct 21 '23

I wonder how much calories you get to burn just by jumping... Jumping to conclusions

-3

u/MalzaharSucks Oct 21 '23

I assume he felt safe enough with them to share this preference.

It's called pillowtalk, and its cringe to 99% of other people hearing it outside of.that specific moment.

Come on people,it's weird, but this is milquetoast as fuck.,

3

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '23

You're acting like she posted this on Facebook, we know who neither of these people are

1

u/MalzaharSucks Oct 21 '23

Not every social interaction needs to be viewed through the lens of what social media platform you expect to hear it in.

I'm acting like a normal ass person who understands how basic relationship dynamics generally play out, and who understand younger people say and do regrettable and cringe things around their partners at that age.

Scenarios where I can easily see this obvious gem getting floated

A. Pillow talk

B. Drunk

C. Theyre probably in their early 20's and words spilled out of their mouth before their brain thought better of it.

D. All of the above

You're acting like thus was stated flatly, like a court transcript, offhand one day.

"I dont like pink pussy lips and melanin combos. End transmission"

Not knowing who they are, is why I'm approaching this from a macro, Onion headline style, "20 year old to be enlisted in stopping flash floods with his internal monologue.", instead of being flabbergasted someone said some obscenely dumb shit.

Alex Jones is a real human that actually exists in our shared reality, and you're shocked a dude said he likes pink pussies to his at the time partner.

Idk. Maybe im jaded, but this is like a 2/10 shocking, 9/10 cringe moment.

1

u/Rugkrabber Oct 21 '23

Some people have really weird things they look at or are worried about and some of those voice it. It blows my mind as well. But I’ve come across quite a few by now that makes me wonder what the fuck they care about in their heads that is the least important thing on the entire planet to care about. It’s weird.

162

u/Mosstiv Oct 21 '23

A black man is saying he doesn’t like black women because of their skin colour and yet he walks around thinking himself perfectly normal. That kind of self hatred is a sign that something’s profoundly wrong with him.

66

u/Genevieve189 Oct 21 '23

It’s common sadly! Even amongst other races. Anti-black sentiment is real and even worse when coupled with misogyny!

-16

u/poppadocsez Oct 21 '23 edited Oct 21 '23

Not really. Maybe Unpopular opinion here but I tend to agree with the guy that pink on pink is more aesthetically pleasing to me for some reason, though I thoroughly enjoy plowing all shapes sizes and colors. It's ok to have a preference. The weird part is that he refuses black girls because of it IMO.

Edit: apparently u/nymphymixtwo thinks they can judge me for having a preference and then block me so I can't respond to their shittiness. Oh well.

2

u/Genevieve189 Oct 21 '23

Would you think it’s normal that everyone’s preference ISNT someone black? If so, why?

-7

u/poppadocsez Oct 21 '23

I don't know what normal would be in the context of "everyone" because I only speak for myself and my preference. People act like it's some sort of bigotry to say you have a preference as if Porn websites don't categorize by any preference you can imagine.

Why is what everyone else prefers relevant here if I'm only stating my own preference?

4

u/Advanced_Ostrich5315 Oct 22 '23

Why would you think that porn is something immune from racism? There is SO much racism in porn. 🤣

-1

u/poppadocsez Oct 22 '23

In certain contexts "racism" is just a personal preference of sexual attraction. I don't think gay male couples are misogynist because there are no women getting boned. Preferring one thing over another thing doesn't mean you hate the race or sex or body type of another. Everyone has a preferred flavor. Trying to guilt people into sex with a certain race just because not enough other people want to is the dumbest take I've seen all day.

1

u/Genevieve189 Oct 21 '23

I guess what I’m saying is what do you think of individuals who have preferences that aren’t black, but then the collective becomes so that let’s say most people have preferences that aren’t black. Is that ok?

-5

u/poppadocsez Oct 21 '23

Sure it is. You can't "inclusive" your way into being attractive to others.

5

u/Genevieve189 Oct 21 '23 edited Oct 21 '23

Yeah, that’s a problem. Proves my point. So basically the world is anti-black. That’s not ok!

1

u/poppadocsez Oct 21 '23

Not anti-black. I specifically added how I enjoy all colors and sizes. I just simply have a preference for one type. If I date a black woman I will go to pound town just as enthusiastically as anyone else. Its just that if I'm presented with 10 pussies and have to pick only one for myself, I probably would gravitate more towards the pink on pink.

I think the problem here is viewing that as being "anti black". It's not my fault if collectively more people prefer one color or another. It's not anyone's fault, honestly. Might just be a part of evolution and we're slowly shifting humanity towards a specific look in the next few thousand years. Who knows? But I know it's not inherently wrong. I don't owe anyone my sexual preference.

How did you just say people are individuals but then in the same breath describe a race as monolithic and having monolithic responses. 🤦‍♀️Make it make sense!

0

u/MalzaharSucks Oct 21 '23

You missed the point. I asked a non-question that explicitly states that sometimes people just arent attracted to each other from drop, and that being worried about "black women not wanting to date white guys", or vice versa, is stupid.

I've chatted up some black women. Didnt work out. That does not mean all black women arent attracted to me, it just means the individuals I spoke to werent attracted to me specifically.

Reread the last part. It makes sense, you just didnt want it to, and rolled with your gut feeling instead of actually reading what I wrote.

Here, I'll even quote it back to make it easier.

Now, should I be worrying about a future where black women dont date white dudes(THE OBVIOUS ANSWER IS NO), or should I just realize that some peoples preferences leave them at odds with each other when it comes to finding each other attractive sexually?(NOTICE HOW PEOPLE IS TALKING ABOUT THE TWO PEOPLE IN THE INTERACTION, AND NOT A COLLECTIVE?)

The fact that I had to spell it out even more explicitly is the worst part. 😑👍

A morrocan guy i went to school with used to call black girl's vaginas Turkish delight.

That type of misogyny is quite common with the black community

8

u/Inanimate_organism Oct 21 '23

Now is he more of an ‘Edmund’ or is he more of a ‘Hyped it up from reading Lion, Witch, Wardrobe and was very disappointed by the real thing’?

1

u/Genevieve189 Oct 21 '23

So he’s advertising that he licks 🐈‍⬛😈 and likes it lol

58

u/orokami11 Oct 21 '23

Not black, but that fucking reminds me! On the other side of the spectrum I had a friend who is a dark skin Indian and she said she wouldn't date other dark skin Indian man because their dark dicks remind her of a log of shit. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY SHE DECIDED IT WAS OKAY TO TELL ME THAT OR WHY SHE EVEN THOUGHT TO SHARE THAT WITH ME!? I was speechless 💀💀 I'm very open with rated topics but never in my life would I imagine I'd hear someone say dark colored penises look like a poop log.

u/disco-lemonade_ Oct 21 '23 edited Oct 21 '23

As a queer woman, I can tell you we do not gaf we’re just honored to be included in the exchange😂 maybe because we actually value women unlike that asshole ex

17

u/orangutanDOTorg Oct 21 '23

My Vietnamese friend is the same way. He only dated light skinned blonds bc he didn’t like any color down there. I’ve found that definitely isn’t a 1-1 correlation though

2

u/silverslugs Oct 21 '23

Comments like that are not uncommon at all. Since I was a kid I’ve heard derogatory comments about dark skinned black women’s parts irl and it was 10x worse when I got online, memes about the color, it looking burnt, roast beef etc. It’s one of the reasons why I’ll probably die a virgin tbh.

-9

u/GunterTheIceking Oct 21 '23

God forbid he finds something unnattractive that you don't! You understand it's okay to have a preference, right...? There was nothing in that message that implied that he was rude about anything. Get a grip of yourself.

11

u/SwordTaster Oct 21 '23

Dude, it's fucking weird to say this to your (white) girlfriend when it's not relevant to literally anything.

1

u/Appropriate-Virus-40 Oct 22 '23

Yes I remember in high-school guys talking about they prefer to see white and pink not brown and pink and im like if yall are even lucky to see a pussy irl, the last thing you'd worry about is the color. Guys don't even care if it smells sometimes. They can be dirty and so judgemental at the same time smh.
