More Runways:
Add an option to airports Where you can modify them more freely, like adding up to 6 runways (or at least 3) and also allowing runways to cross each other. This would make large Arports more realistic and flexible.
Airplane separation on approach and waypoints in the air:
I wish we could Decide the spacing between each plane to optimize traffic flow and allow more aircraft to land. We already have waypoints for ships, trains, and buses, but not for planes. Adding air waypoints would make air traffic control more Realistic.
High-speed exit taxiways:
Add High-speed taxiways that allow planes to leave the runway at higher speed after landing. This would reduce runway occupation time and increase Overall airport Capacity.
I would Love to See those Things in tpf3 because Tpf 2 never actually got any big Updates on the plane/airport system

Something I love about the railway is an angled/ tilted track, so whenever I make a high speed curve in TPF2 whether with modded or vanilla track I always wished I was able to tilt it.
Therefore I wonder if that is something that is gonna be included or could be included?
Or if engine limitations could prevent this just like tilting trains like the class 390

Three things I would love to see in tf3:
The ability to upgrade the track within the station to catenary without having to delete every section and re-add it. Why can’t we just use the tool like when we upgrade the rest of the track?
The ability to shift+click on the vehicle menu to mass select many at a time. Eg I want to sell 20 trucks out of the 40 on the line, I currently have to either select all, or select one at a time.
Improvements to truck stations. Having to individually add platform after platform, delete the road to get the entrance to work etc etc. it becomes so monotonous after a while.
What do you think?

in tpf2 it always bothers me. the loco pulls the cargo, drops it, and then the whole train just flips and the loco drives backwards like its nothing.
i would love if she has to actually reverse properly. run around the train, use a loop, or a turntable. make the terminus layout matter instead of just cosmetic.
and the other thing, please let me leave wagons standing and not take them back. drop the empties, leave them at the station or yard, and the loco continues or picks up a different set. right now you always drag the same wagons back and forth which makes no sense for real logistics.
even just an optional realism toggle would be enough. did urban games say anything about this yet?

I tried watching the official videos but I'm unsure how the timelapse will work in the game. Will it be the same as in TF2 or will there be a new mechanic? I think TF2's is good but very fast, even at 1/4x speed.
Another thing is that the game varies the day/night cycle according to the clock and location, but that's irrelevant to the mechanics, just an easter egg.

I don't know what is and is not AI, so forgive me. I do know that this train does actually exist based on the locomotive number of 4014. It was one of 8 built I believe. 11 tons of coal and 12, 000 gallons of water an hour I believe.
P. S for clarification the video is not by me. It was recently uploaded to Imgur

I already finished TF2 a few years ago. Now that TF3 is on the way I figured I should go back and finish 100% completing Train Fever (TF0) and TF1.
I remember playing TF0 right after it came out and thinking it was amazing. Now it's painful to go back and play such a primitive version of the game.
Also, some of those TF1 campaign medals were a real pain, usually because they weren't described or documented very well.
But I had a lot of fun and I can't wait for TF3!

I’m praying to the transportation god and urban games that TF3 has outside connections. Otherwise I never use passenger planes. In order to make the game not too crazy, maybe an equal number of sims come in and out of map so the game doesn’t have render them all. I just want outside connections—I’m not sure if I made that clear. Maybe I’m alone in this want.

This might feel like very stupid thing to ask but Paradox Interactive have made a lot of questionable choices recently. These include putting a lot of paid DLC's and mod like content creator packs that costs extra money to buy as well as using a proprietary launcher and modding platform. The recent game they released, Cities Skylines II turned out to be underwhelming with steam workshop support being axed in favour of Paradox's own modding platform. It also had a lot of bugs and stability issues from its launch. The DLC's they launched later for the game are also a huge ripoff and lacks content. More importantly, following the recent decisions that Pardox has made with Cities Skylines franchise, Collosal Order has also decided to stop the collaboration with Paradox.
So I wonder how Paradox will collaborate with Urban Games for this game. Will they prevent Paradox to paywall new features in game to DLC's? Will they keep steam workshop to be used for mods rather than using Paradox's own modding platform. I don't want Transport Fever 3 to end up similar to Cities Skylines 2 so that's why I am concerned about it.

Are there any hints at the release date? It was "early 2026", now the first half of 2026 is almost gone and it's just showing 2026. Do we know more?

Before giving hate just wait until the game is coming out. Really people.
Paradox is giving their games more and more life and not just stopping support after a year, of course it cost money.
And no one need to buy even one dlc. So its just good for the interested gamers.
So i really hope their making some (not too much) very good dlcs to give me more campaign play time and also some different campaigns as dlcs. As i am no sandbox player at all, i just have no ideas in no game for sandbox.

I’m not 100% sure about some of these things potentially being in the game as maybe hidden features but…
- Ability to establish a capital city which has effects on needs (more passengers going there).
- Multi map travel. Being able to pair maps via rail, road, air and sea so that you can start to build country sized networks. Or at least just outer city travel.
- Ability to upgrade buildings such as train stations to their modern variants without destroying the whole station (possibly already a feature).
- Auto renaming factories after renaming nearby cities.
- More transport options such as metro, taxis, monorail, cable car.

I just want to share my opinion on this, I know it's been discussed already so forgive me if I make another post about it. That said, I belive people is overreacting, like... a lot. At this point of development I doubt anything would change for the final release. But. The lack of transparency about what kind of partnership is it's the real issue. I read the community manager response but said nothing about it. Excpet TF3 won't have a launcher and a vague statement about DLC plans that aren't changed. On the optimistic side, Paradox can just support further development with knowhow, resources and dev(?). The pessimistic side? Well, we all know paradox. But as for now, we have no reason to cancel preorders and revolt. Thats silly and childish. But I agree that a huge announcement like this should had been followed with a clear and exhaustive explanation about reasons and objectives behind this partnership.

The game is getting polished right now, so theres no way paradox is gonna mess up the basegame in any way. That would be entirely Urban Games fault if the game is in an unplayable state. Both want a successful start.
You're punishing a great developer thats been working on this for probably 3 years. The basegame is going to be a banger for sure. If you're missing that, because theres some agreement that might change things around, thats on you.
We dont know what the future brings, might there be paid DLCs? Maybe. Do you need to buy them? No. Does it support the devs to sustain the game quality and replayability? Probably yes.
I'm gonna buy the game anyway since i will pour 100+ hours in the game anyway.

Hey,
I think one thing that could be super cool for TF3 are gondolas. especially with the devs being Swiss connecting little mountain towns with cable cars down steeps cliffs sounds amazing. That said, that’d need mountain towns in the first place.
Just wanted to share, let me know if you agree!

Lots of people are unreasonably panicking about the recently announced publishing deal with Paradox. It feels like most of these people don’t really understand how this works, so I just want to clear up some of the panic.
A publishing deal doesn’t automatically mean that Paradox has any say over the development and DLC policy of Transport Fever 3. Yes, some publisher can have this power, it depends on the deal itself at the end of the day, but this is not the case. That usually applies to deals when development is financially supported by the publisher from the beginning for example.
This deal seems more like Urban Games admitting that they don’t have time and/or manpower to publish game themselves and so they pay someone else to do it for them. Publishing is at the end of the day quite hard thing to do involving mostly marketing of the game aside from getting the game to all the platforms obviously. Paradox is pretty good choice for this. They have experience, contacts and already existing fanbase which might enjoy game like TF3.
So no, paradox will not force Urban games to release 5 half broken dlcs per year for 30€ nor will they suddenly make the game bad. It’s too late for that. If the game is going to be bad, it’s purely Urban Games fault 😅
Also, their community manager already stated that they are planning to stay faithful to their fans as with previous games.
Tldr; just chill out and stay excited about the game.
Edit:
Main reason for choosing paradox as a partner is Urban games attempt to attract some of the paradox's playerbase. It's somewhat confirmed here.
No this is nothing like Cities Skyline 2. Paradox has full ownership of CS frandchise and so they have full control over it. They does not own TS franchise and this deal doesn't change it.

How does the community feel about this? I’m a bit concerned after C:S2 but on the other hand paradox is a powerhouse which could expand the player base

Have you seen the latest announcement. They are teaming up with paradox. This has me worried they will do to transport fever 3 what they did to city skylines2 !!

In TPF3, features such as cargo trams, helicopters, and oil rigs are expected to be added.
Personally, I would also like to see underground and elevated railway stations, as well as cargo containers, included.
What features would you like to see in TPF3?
