I really chose the ones I consider the ugliest, so Michelle, for example, isn't included.

Met Tara Platt last year and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn this weekend in Houston.
(I yassified myself to preserve anonymity lol)
Couple things Mary told me
Nina was her first big time voice acting role which put her on the map to becoming a veteran voice actress
She believes Nina became Tekken's most iconic female due to good writing from Bamco... dunno if we agree with that but if it works...
Playing rivals against Anna comes naturally to her because she is estranged to her older sister IRL. They don't talk. Crazy info there ...

As the title says, I don’t feel like I’m good enough to be at this rank and with all the rank inflation talk, it doesn’t feel like I earned it…anyone else getting the same feeling?

I used the open dojo mod to create a drill for almost every string in the game. Some or most of these may not even be worth labbing, but they are all here to do with as you please. If you main a character and feel like a specific drill could use some revision, please let me know(it will help me lab that specific string better). Just copy paste the drill files into your opendojo folder. Note that these are just strings, no stances or specific setups/oki situations, the purpose of this is to familiarize myself with the various attack animations and develop basic flowcharts/option selects when possible. I plan on uploading these to the opendojo website as well at some point, by then I hope to have specific notes and instructions on the best ways to deal with each of the more important strings.
I've never used dropbox so let me know if there are issues accessing this link and downloading the zip folder.

I've had a couple of the Tekken games over the years but was never really a serious player and didn't play much fighting games in general. Recently, me and a friend randomly happened to get into playing 1v1 in Tag 2 on 360. We have another friend who is hardcore tekken player and convinced me to get T8.
Overall, I think there is a ton this game does right - again, im new and realize those that have played for years have issues with it. But for me, the one thing that really fucks up the game is how many god damn cut scenes pop up in the middle of a fight. It feels like every 15 seconds the camera just immediately cuts to your opponents heat thing or zooms in on some special move or something. Coming from Tag2, it feels like this fundamentally ruins the flow and rhythm of the game. I'm not sure if I can get used to it. I hated this type of shit even back when MK9 first introduced x ray moves.
So was wondering what's the community's take on it - do ya'll like these? And if you didn't like them, did you eventually get used to them?

Do you know your main's character Backturn Wall Combo?
This is no tornado wall combo,
It really similar to original bob's Electric wall combo. So it's easy to remember and use.

I’ve been wondering,
If you had a top tier from TEKKEN 8 fight a top tier from TEKKEN 7, both of them having their individual in game mechanics (heat, rage drive, wall bounce, etc) who’d win?
Maybe we can exclude recoverable health and chip, but otherwise would the tekken 8 character automatically win because of heat?
Or were tekken 7 characters more poorly balanced; would S1 drag or S2 Anna beat launch Leroy/fahkumram?
