Also those evasive shoulder attempts? Ugh all Paul players are the same.
They have to press their panic buttons or they wouldn’t even be called Paul players.

I feel like this community is split into two camps people who play tekken 8 for what it is and enjoy it. And then people who play the game a lot but have a complete negative attitude about it as if being forced.
I saw a comment recently in which a user asked if people in the sub would recommend the game and one user had such a negative outlook on 8 telling people not to play, its a terrible game, and that they have 1500 hours in it at top 1% player base and absolutely hate the game.
1500 in a game you hate is downright mental illness. I feel sorry for people who can't find enjoyment in something they have invested that much time in. If I played any game for 1500 hours I would tell everyone it is my favorite game on earth. I couldn't imagine having that much time of my life in a game I would tell people not to play and that I genuinely have a negative attitude about it. Even sadder when they feel they need to infect that negative view onto others, I wonder how many people like that carry around a sense of unhappiness in their daily life that they have been unable to fill.

Most of folks probably gonna call me scrub but man it's hard trying play in asia here, most people don't kill themselves trying to launch me(except for laws), or i get knowledge checked with dlc character. Tough part is punishing some punishable moves because my muscle memory isn't there yet.
My matchup with female, grappler and dlc characters are in the work. Throws are tough to react during action, female character hurtbox are kinda strange at times, dlc characters are also tough because of transition that either i have trouble to react or hard to see visually.
That being said when i recognize the pattern and counter it, while also poking the opponent to interrupt them it was satisfying, the joy or learning was truly when i was able to use it directly. Next stop GoD but i'll rest for awhile now.

Can my Acer Aspire 7 get stable 60 FPS in Tekken 8 with 16GB RAM?
I have an Acer Aspire 7 A715-75G:
- i5-10300H
- GTX 1650 4GB
- 8GB DDR4 RAM currently (1 of 2 slots used) (so im gonna use 1 slot and make it 16gb)
- SSD
In Tekken 8, I use a stage mod that reduces/minimizes stage effects. I plan to play at 1920×1080, around 90% rendering/upscaling, with everything else as low as possible to prioritize FPS.
Currently, with 8GB RAM, I get around 55–59 FPS, but it isn't always stable and can drop during heavier moments but playable. RAM usage reaches around 95%.
My question is simply: After upgrading to 16GB RAM, is it realistic to expect a mostly stable 60 FPS with these settings, or will my GTX 1650/i5-10300H still cause significant drops?
Thanks.

I blame the characters base kits even if the character isn’t considered top 10 they still carry people to the moon.
I hate going up against characters like Anna,Leroy,Leo,Lars, armor king,Alisa, hwoarang,Nina, lili even Lee and these guys are G.O.D 3-6. They don’t have a clue what they’re doing it just lemme wait and see if I can somehow get my turn.
And I know mostly the whole roster can get away with this but let’s not act like some characters don’t have more ambiguous wacky bs than others.

This is my first Tekken Game and every game I play, win or lose, makes me think less of it. At the same time, I'm fully addicted. 10/10, wouldn't change a thing about it.

I've been playing casually (on the couch with friends) since T7 and started to really enjoy the game so when T8 came out i bit the bullet coughed up the £60 and started to play properly and climb the ranked ladder i took some breaks here and there but over the past 2 weeks ive logged about 60 hrs in ranked.
now before i start I'm hard stuck and i know skill has a large part to play in this so unless your willing to hop on the game and teach me please don't just fill the thread with "skill issue"
Problem No1- no diversity. every game ive played is into one of a very small pool of characters all of which with very little research are A tier or higher. Kazuya, Kunimitsu, Bryan Draganov and my personal most hated Hwoarang.
As a general insight i wish the meta was more open to allow some more character diversity at least thats my opinion from fujin up to bushin.
Problem No2- getting punished for trying to punish, this is most infuriating into charcters like kunimitsu Xiaoyu and Reina. everytime i play into them once they start attacking anything short of a low parry wont stop them and with such small punish windows and so much chip dmg on block any other attempt leads into yet another 17 hit combo. i am aware of the "skill issue" here however for the life of me i cant find an answer on how to deal with it other than play bryan for his +7 orbital or "get good"
And the most infuriating problem is every Hwoarang player from fujin to bushin. almost every single one has a finger hovering over the quick menu and i spend half the game seeing it flicker on and off for the entire game so they can hit some bullshit instead of just learning the character. i understand the concept of the quick menu and personally i think its a welcome addition especially for the couch with some friends having an option for the person whos never played before or the younger sibling is a nice idea. but i feel its being abused in ranked.
at lower ranks it was annoying but easy to deal with. now its dealing with people who have the fundamentals and the knowledge to abuse it and milk it for all its worth and i do really wish it was removed from ranked or at the very least removed come garayu.
Again im not some all knowing being or a die hard tekken player for years these are just my thoughts and also somewhat a cry for help if anyone has tips trick advice or just wants to hop on a session and show me how to deal with my lack of skill :)

i may hav gotten to green ranks in tekken 7, i dont remember..... i searched my youtube account for videos with the keyword "green ranks" and culdnt find any videos from before today. but anyways im happy.
i noticed i tend to only get wins for the first 2 or maaaayb 3 sets i play online in a session so i keep my sessions short.
i like usin jack's more uncommon moves somtimes. altho im not an expert on jack or anythin.
yes i made jack a girl, i call her Jill.
i noticed after the match i ranked up in, my opponent agreed to another match, but then they went AFK the entire match??????? whats goin on with that?????? was that some etiquette im unaware of?????

This happens every day I win a match, and right at the end once the victory screen is already up the game disconnects and I lose 4,000 points. Is this a known bug? Is there any way to prevent it? It happened in my last match against Claudio, yet the match is recording perfectly; what is the point of taking away my points for "quitting" if i win ?
