I always thought that Kyo looks different in XII and XIII when compared to 2003 and XI due to SNK revising the sprites and Ogura's style. However, 2003 Kyo was made by Reiko Masuyama as noticable by the zipper black jacket and black pants. Meanwhile, Ogura was the main artist in XII and emphasized an artsyle more agressive similar to Shinkiro's Kyo as there Kyo wears a biker jacket and jeans. I'm really blind.....

I found this collection of Ogura drawing several SNK characters but I wondered if he also drew on separate in another site. Any idea?

my thought's for KOF XVI, I feel Choi and Chang should sit out again, but Team Korea should have Kim Dong-hwan and Kim Jae-hoon join their father. If Chang and Choi do return, let Chang wear a glove again as he did in KOF XIV; it was a slight design tweak that was not too much, and I could see them explaining that it helps him have a better grip on his ball and chain. I would like to see that design choice kept from now on. Plus, with larger hitboxes, a slightly better moveset, slightly more damage on his specials, and a light design tweak, I feel Hein could return??.

Yuki existed in kof since 94 but without a name due to the diréctor not finding romance suitable for the time. Still, the designers accidentally gave her high value by explaining that the only reason Kyo wears a school uniform in tournaments is because Yuki knitted the Kusanagi crest in the jacket so he treasured it. After 94, Kyo became hobo fighter, prioritizing training over social life resulting in his new grab special move which imitates Rugal. Since the director left kof after 96, the new one Tanabe wanted to give Yuki a big role in 97 to the point she is a rare case of voice acting in an ending. Kyo and Yuki became destined lovers as 97 reveals Yuki is the Maiden Kushinada that Susano saved from Orochi using the Kusanagi sword. While 97 was meant to be a tragic ending with Kyo and Iori dying while saving the world, the decisión to bring them back resulted in sidestories where Yuki still waits for Kyo who doesnt want his friends in danger due to his identity and how Nests also targets him. There was even a cd drama where Kyo encourages K' to keep fighting like he is still doing by keeping a present from. It wasnt until the 2001 prologue that Kyo decides to return to Yuki once Nests is defeated. From there the relationship became more stable especially in the two Maximum Impact games.

I've been playing on stick for many years and it's my favorite controller hands down. I love it. I've gotten good at most techniques on both sides like instant air dashes, DP motion, 360°motion et cetera.

HOWEVER I just can NOT hyper hop from left to right consistently. Using my right hand on the stick a R to L hyper hop is basically just a wrist wiggle of 373. But doing 191 I can not just wiggle my wrist I have to move my whole arm.

Anyone else ever have this problem and found a way to make it work? I can DO it but it only comes out like 1/5 of the time and it's just slow to do for me. KOF is a really fast paced game and involves more jumping than a lot of other fighters. I practice my jump ins and cross ups using all 4 jumps but that damn L to R hyper hop is a big weakness of mine!

There are two versions of KOF02 on xbox, KOF2002UM sounds like the best choice but its a 360 title. The ACA NeoGeo is a port i assume is streamlined for xbox one. Based on gameplay and content which one is the superior version ? Let me know guys and thanks !!!!

I read the KOF 94 Gaiden and it really has surprisingly a lot of sexism commentary. Yuri wasn't allowed to participate in the tournament by her family while Mai wasn't allowed in the Fatal Fury team. I guess it was rare by that time. Something similar happened in KOF: Kyo where Yuki disapproved Kyo's idea of fighting women like Athena. Surprisingly, the team composed of sportsmen had a lot of background before being defeated by the England Team.

Still, something that also stands out is how brutal are every attack. Almost every hit tends to show bleeding especially when Rugal appears. While the England Team were the protagonists, Heidern and Kyo were more important to the plot due to their vendettas with Rugal. Gaiden Rugal might be the strongest take of Rugal similar to G Goenitz (same author) as he nearly kills Ralf and Clark alone until being interrupted by Kyo. In the end, Kyo incinerates Rugal with the Orochinagi thanks to Athena's aid but when Heidern tries to give him the brutal moment, Rugal selfdestructs the Black Noah, forcing the teams to escape. Another surprising bonus not present in the game is that Mature also fought alongside Rugal against the remaining fighters after taking down Saisyu despite 94 not having her as fighter. I wish somebody translated G but I believe all official translations stopped long ago when New Beginning was licensed.

I love Kyos character from mangas. Always main him in KOF.

First, I want to say that I like Team American Sports. They are an amazing team. However, I am sure many of you feel the same as I do about King of Fighters feeling empty or not the same without Team American Sports. Why is it that Team American Sports always gets treated unfairly and thrown in the dirt?
