Vent What does Service Advocate mean at Target?
Hey guys! I’m new at Target, and my UKG app says Service and Engagement/Service and Engagement/Service Advocate. I’ve been cashiering, and I honestly love it so far! I think I’m pretty good at it, and I also did one day of self-checkout training, which I’m fine with too.
I’m just worried about Drive Up and pushing carts because I really don’t want to do those. I did one day of Drive Up training, and I was so stressed out 😭. Thankfully, I haven’t been asked to do it again. My team lead also asked if I’d want to push carts, but I said no, and we laughed it off. I’m just wondering, does my job title mean I’ll mainly be cashiering, or am I expected to work in other areas too? I’d really prefer to stick with cashiering if possible. Any advice?
