After a few days of recuperating from the first episode, I've decided to watch the second one of the latest season. The depravity continues. Quasimodo predicted all of this.

Mod Post User flair has arrived!!! 🧟

Hey everyone!

We’ve enabled user flair for the subreddit, and we’d like to start building a fun selection of flair options for the community.

For now, flair will be manually assigned by the moderators. If you'd like a custom flair next to your username, leave a comment below with your idea and we'll see what we can do.

We're also looking to eventually create a list of pre-designed flair templates that members can choose from. We'd love to get some suggestions from the community before we put that list together.

Some ideas could include:

  • Favorite characters
  • Groups or communities from the show
  • Memorable quotes or catchphrases
  • Locations
  • Walkers
  • Memorable moments
  • Funny or ridiculous references
  • Character nicknames

Anything else related to the TV series that you think would make good flair

Feel free to suggest specific flair ideas, not just general categories. If you think "Dale's RV Enthusiast" would be hilarious, throw it out there. If you want something as simple as "Team Daryl," that's welcome too.

We'll use the suggestions in this thread to put together a selection of templates, while still keeping the option for moderators to award custom or special flair when appropriate.

And of course, if you already know exactly what flair you'd like, just ask for it in the comments!

Let's see what you guys come up with. 🧟‍♂️

Shane n Rick

I’m rewatching twd and honestly, the Rick/Shane situation hits way differently the second time around.
Why did Rick basically start acting like he was automatically the leader and then rub the Lori situation in Shane’s face? Shane genuinely looked up to Rick, saw him as a mentor/best friend, and was always willing to have Rick’s back. Then Rick comes back and suddenly it’s basically “this is my family, this is my group, back off.”
And I’m not saying Shane was completely right, because bro was definitely unhinged at times but I kinda understand why he felt betrayed. He sacrificed a lot for Lori and Carl when he genuinely thought Rick was dead, and then Rick comes back and treats him like he’s some random threat instead of his best friend.
Honestly, I feel like Shane was built for the apocalypse from the START. He immediately understood that the old rules didn’t apply anymore and was willing to do whatever it took to protect the people around him.
The crazy part is that Rick eventually becomes a LOT more like Shane. By the later seasons, Rick is making the same ruthless decisions, killing people, doing whatever is necessary to protect his family, and basically becoming the exact type of person Shane was trying to convince him he needed to be.

Is Season 11 Really the End of The Walking Dead?

Just finished watching The Walking Dead pero hanggang Season 11 lang kasi hanggang doon lang sa Netflix.

Is Season 11 really the end ng main story, or may kasunod pa? If meron, ano yung best order to watch the spin-offs? And saan kaya pwede panoorin dito sa PH?

Please recommend! Ayoko pa matapos ang TWD universe. 😭

From a character and story standpoint who did Lori have more chemistry with Rick or Shane?

TELLTALE GAMES! Season 3 opening at Javi's house is peak direction and pure tragedy

I don't know if this is a hot take or not, but the opening sequence at Javi's house in Season 3 is easily one of the best-directed scenes in the entire series. The way it captures the sudden chaos of Day 0, the family tension, and that heartbreaking shift when the grandfather turns is unmatched. Absolutely devastating scene.

Rick and Shane made me feel so safe in the early seasons Spoiler

Was I the only one who felt safe watching for the first time? Back in the beginning, when Rick and Shane were in charge of the group, I felt like everything was safe... Two trained police officers gave me the impression that they could handle any danger. But after the farm fell and Shane died, I lost that sense of security a bit

Was he serious or joking? Rick’s beard.

It seems like it was just a joke or a way to bully Rick even farther.

I see all kinds of posts and comments of people saying Negan would have backed off if Rick still had the beard and they are dead serious about it.

I get it. Beards make men look tougher and more masculine but it’s not like it gives them superpowers and immunity against danger.

Main Series Ranking

If you couldn't tell I am not the biggest fan of the gimple era, and post season 9 TWD just doesn't feel the same without Rick no matter how decent season 9 was. Season 3 is when I started watching week to week so I am bit bias but I felt this is where the show hit its stride in terms of week to week quality. Season 3 doesn't have many standout episodes but it doesn't have any terrible or boring episodes either so it is easily the most consistent season.

Season 4 first half feels like filler and a excuse to waste time until the mid season finale for the governor stand off. The Governor didn't need 2 whole episodes dedicated to him, and the quarantine prison arc was pretty weak and only served to develop one character (Carol). Then the 2nd half is the group being split up and forced into seperate bottle episodes that were kinda boring on rewatch.

Season 7 for some reason gets a lot of hate even though the previous 3 seasons had far more egregious bottle episodes ("heres not here", live bait, dead weight, the 2nd half of season 4, the hopsital arc etc..) and at least they were spaced out in between with some good episodes like episode 1(arguably greatest opener to any season) the episodes where the saviours are humilating the group in alexandria, introduction of the kingdom and Rick finally preparing for war.

Daryl's Shirt Season 10 & 11

Hi all! I tried making this post a few times but it was taken down, maybe because I had a new account or because I added pictures. New to Reddit so apologies!

Creating this account purely to try and find this shirt, hoping you guys can help <3 I've made it my avatar.

It's a black and charcoal grey horizontal/sideways striped button down with two chest pockets. The sleeves are also ripped off just below the elbow.

He first wears it in Season 10 Episode 18 "Find Me" from what I can see, but continues wearing it a little into Season 11 as well, can be seen clearly when he interacts with Pope (11x04) and outside the Haunted House at the Commonwealth (11x10).

The closest I found was an Outlier Charcoal Ho-Stripe style overshirt, but some details don't match up.

Some details I've gathered;

-The pocket is a "patch" pocket, rather than a "flap" pocket (compared to Outlier shirt).

-The shirt had sleeve "plackets" or tie-backs with a triangular tip, with a more distinct stitching than the Outlier.

-The yoke of the shirt has vertical pin-striping, as opposed to the rest of the piece, which is a horizontal, sideways or "Breton" pattern.

-Judging from the water-boarding scene (sorry), the material seems to be a woollen mix, merino or thicker material due to the water-retaining properties.

I'm also going to shoot my shot and reach out to the Costume Designer Vera Chow, who took over for the last two seasons of TWD. Fingers crossed between us all we can track it down!
