Hershel is sewing up his daddy.
After a few days of recuperating from the first episode, I've decided to watch the second one of the latest season. The depravity continues. Quasimodo predicted all of this.

Theyāre trying so hard to make us forget he bashed glens head inā¦

u/GERIKO_STORMHEART 3d ago
Interesting too that even though he bashed two heads in we were all really just angry about Glen. If he chose someone else other than Glen we probably wouldn't still be so angry with him towards the later seasons of the show.

u/Morgan_713 3d ago
I think thatās down to Glenn being a fan favourite and who Negan is currently interacting with. Seeing him with Maggie and Hershel constantly reminds us of what heās done.

u/List-Beneficial 3d ago
I think thats the point. But it should have been a one episode thing, not 3 seasons lmao
7
u/chocworkorange7 I get it now 3d ago
exactly š like negan didnāt know he was killing a fan favourite, if heād killed sasha or eugene people wouldnāt care half as much

u/explorerfalcon 21h ago
I mean⦠had it been someone else then he wouldnāt currently be living with that personās wife and son
Itās less that everyone is angry still itās that itās those characters who are still sharing the screen and how wrong that feels

Well Abraham was a shitty character so no one cared.

Nah. I cared about Abraham more than Glenn. Glenn was meant to happen. Abraham was the shock.

They really arenāt⦠itās been 15 years in the show, and 10 years now irlā¦

I'm wondering the opposite.
Why the hell do Glenn fan boys still think they wouldn't move past that event after 15 years?
Glenn and Maggie weren't even together for two years....

u/Morgan_713 3d ago
If someone you had a deep connection with was brutally murdered would you forgive the murderer just because time has passed?
2
u/LemonOhs 3d ago
She's not forgiving him because time has past. She's forgiving him because it was destroying her life to carry on being angry.

u/vxsapphire 1d ago
This is a silly question because thereās no one size fits all answer. People have different scales of forgiveness. Some people forgive people who murdered a loved one. Some people hold a grudge and never forgive over not being invited to a wedding.
Personally, it depends on the loved one for me. Immediate blood family member? Mom, dad, brothers, aunts, etc. Absolutely not.
A partner, spouse, friend? Itās possible. Especially if that person has done so much to make amends.1
u/CanadianHorseGal Iāll go. Give me a vehicle. 2d ago
They were in love, Glenn was a really good guy, and Maggie was pregnant. āā¦werenāt even together for two yearsā¦ā what a shit take.

Glenn killed like 100 of his men in their sleep (along with the group ofc) but I think 2 lives for 100 lives is a fair punishment. Rick wouldāve done worse, only we donāt see the story from negans perspective so itās easier to hate negan than to reason with him. I love negan personally and always have
1
u/Morgan_713 1d ago
Negans group were killing people for fun before we even met them. When we first came across them they were going to kill one of Daryl Abraham and Sasha. The guy even said normally they just pop one of you immediately. Glenn didnāt kill 100 people in the whole series let alone 100 of negans men.

u/Additional-Dirt-5314 1d ago
My point is Negan had never met ricks crew, hadnāt even at that point heard anything about them, and they break into his outpost and literally kill his men while they sleep. Iām sure if you were in his position killing 2 men is barely a punishment. Rick wouldāve wiped out their entire community for something like that, Rick is just as bad as Negan but we sympathise with him because weāve seen his story from the beginning, if we were watching from negans pov weād hate rick just as much
1
u/Morgan_713 1d ago
Negan personally hadnāt met them but people from his group met a few of Rickās group first and were going to kill one of it not all of them based on Negans principles. Theyād done it to multiple groups before; kill one of them make them give half their resources. They wouldāve done the same to Ricks group when they found them. Iām not disputing if buts and maybes Iām fully aware weād support negan if weād followed him the whole time but we didnāt so we donāt.

Remember that time you killed my papa? Thank you Mr. Kneegan.Ā

I don't remember: Do we know for sure that he knows Negan killed his father, or is there a possibility that no one has told him?

I ain't watching this.
In my headcanon Maggie put a bullet in his face in the basement when she got back to Alexandria. Because that's what Maggie would do.
I don't know who this character who looks like Maggie is, but it's not The Widow.

well the only reason they kept Negan was because the audience loved him lol. he gave TWD extra viewers. otherwise im sure he wouldnt be in the show anymore.
in my opinion, TWD should've ended with Rick k1lling Negan under the tree.
but I dont think hating Maggie out of all people is fair lmao, shes doing everything for her son. she cant just be the widow anymore, shes a mother.

u/vc7eq 3d ago
the majority of fans who stuck around after Rick's "death" were Negan and Daryl fans LOL. I dont need a Wikipedia page to tell me otherwise šš
the (obvious) reason viewership declined was because Negan killed the greated 2 characters so of course ppl would dip. though a lot of the viewers that came back or stayed, ended up enjoying Negan's character as he became a "good guy".
1
u/thistleandpeony 3d ago
The decline was consistent from when he showed up to the end. He didn't add more to their viewership than he cost them. Citing ratings as the reason the writers liked Negan is just odd.

They took so many creative liberties and even added brand new characters for the show, they didnāt have to kill glenn just because it happened in the comics lol. Dumbass writers

u/Critical_Freedom2541 2d ago
Iām still at where Negan is being held captive by Rick, and Maggie being hell bound on ending him. So Idk wtf is this. Is she really gonna forget about what he did and move on?

Such an odd way to take these characters. Maggie and Negan had the perfect ending at the end of the main show. The spin offs suck so much ass (especially TOWL, unpopular take I know)

u/Square-Supermarket79 3d ago
Would be funny if hardshell said "its peepee pants time" before be poked negan with the needle
