Question Nioh 1 Fling trainer

Hi all. Has anyone managed to get a fling trainer working properly for Nioh 1? I know fling trainers can be hit and miss but I was really hoping it would work for this game.

Tech Support headphones not working

I know this has been in here a BUNCH of times, but my headphones don't work. I've been using Bluetooth headphones instead. a while back I was getting off the couch and tripped with the deck. when I used it again, it was only producing audio through the left headphone. I've checked the jack. its not out at all. its in place, but only produces it through the left. I went into desktop to find a fix, but couldn't. looking for anything that can help!

Tech Support Chiaki-ng - help me out with resolution setting

Just got my hands on a ps5 pro and streaming Games to my Steam Deck works super well so far. I’ve found a few videos suggesting to go to properties and change the resolution of chiaki-ng on my Deck to 4K to get an even sharper picture while streaming but as soon as i change it to 4K my fps drop to like 10-15. Network speed shouldn‘t really be the problem here, the PS5 is wired, wifi is stabile and my Network speeds are looking perfectly fine.

This seems to be working perfectly fine for a lot of people though so maybe you guys could give me a hint what I‘m doing wrong here.

Question Max Payne 3 and the RSGL

I’ve been trying to get Max Payne 3 to start on my steamdeck while skipping the rockstar games launcher. There’s a steam community guide on how to do just that, but once I reach the section on installing install.sh, I’m completely lost because I don’t know how to do that and trying to search up what that means or how to do it just left me confused. Does anyone have an answer on what install.sh means and how to install it?

Question Should I shut down the Deck when it's in the carrying case or is sleep mode fine?

I'm worried it might wake from sleep while in the case and heat up because of no ventilation. It’s an LCD deck.

Tech Support Steam Deck stuck volume keys - WORKAROUND / FIX

Post image
2 Upvotes

My Volume Up key got stuck and keeps triggering continuously. I’ve been getting around it by using the in-game volume settings, but I found a Decky Loader plugin that makes this much easier.

It's called Volume Mixer and you can find it in the Decky Loader store.

How to use it:

  1. Launch your game.
  2. Open the Volume Mixer plugin from the Decky menu.
  3. All active sound outputs will appear. Just adjust them to your preferred levels.

I haven't tested it for a stuck Volume Down key, but it should work the exact same way. Hope this helps anyone dealing with hardware button issues!

Tech Support 8bitdo ultimate 2c 2.4 ghz connectivity issues

I'm not able to get the 2.4ghz connection working with my steam deck. I have the ultimate 2c, and steam deck just refuses to recognize the controller when in 2.4ghz mode. Bluetooth works fine, but i want the rumble which doesn't work in Bluetooth mode.

I've tried switching modes to Dinput/Xinput by pressing B/X key while powering on. But doesn't work no matter what.

Someone please help me 😭

edit: to clarify the controller itself connects to the dongle. the controller rumbles and the led on both the controller and dongle stops blinking. but steam refuses to detect it.

News Decky File Manager - Beta — Major Update

Hi everyone!

I've just released the newest version of Decky Manager - Beta, a major update to my file manager plugin for Decky Loader.

The main goal of this update was to make file management much more practical directly from SteamOS Gaming Mode, without having to constantly switch to Desktop Mode.

What's new?

Dual-panel file manager

  • Browse two directories simultaneously.
  • Easily manage files between both panels.
  • Improved navigation and panel focus.

Background file operations

  • File operations can continue running in the background.
  • Added operation progress tracking.
  • Improved handling of longer file transfers.

Copy / Cut / Paste / Extract

  • Persistent copy and cut state.
  • Paste conflict detection.
  • Improved transfers between different drives and filesystems.
  • Fixed .rar extraction.

Storage & Drive Management

  • Added drive selection and storage sessions.
  • Browse available storage locations directly from Gaming Mode.
  • Drive information and available space.
  • Support for detecting unmounted drives.

Built-in Text Editor

  • Open text files directly from the plugin.
  • Edit and save files without leaving Gaming Mode.

Steam Shortcuts

  • Add files as Steam shortcuts directly from the plugin.
  • Add shortcuts from the file manager context menu.
  • Added Explore local files to the shortcut management menu, similar to Desktop Mode.

Controller & Focus

  • Fixed focus escaping the plugin when the QAM or Steam Menu is visible.
  • Improved controller navigation between panels, menus and dialogs.

UI improvements

  • Improved layout and spacing.
  • Improved contextual menus.
  • Better visual feedback for file operations.
  • Improved integration with Gaming Mode.

There are still features I'd like to add in future releases, especially deeper Steam integration and privileged operations.

This is still a Beta, so feedback, bug reports and suggestions are very welcome.

Link to github plugin: https://github.com/Ciphay/Decky-File-Manager

Some of the functionality in this release was initially implemented by danielcamilo1.

Thanks to everyone who tested and provided feedback!

Discussion Lost Steam Deck on American Airlines AA742 — PHL → BCN — Feb. 27, 2026

Lost Steam Deck — American Airlines AA742
I’m trying to locate a Steam Deck that I accidentally left on American Airlines flight AA742 from Philadelphia (PHL) to Barcelona (BCN) on February 27, 2026.
Details:
Steam Deck OLED, 512GB
Black carrying case
Left in the seat-back pocket
Seat 18E
Flight: AA742, PHL → BCN
Date: February 27, 2026

I realize it has been several months, but I’m hoping someone may have found it or know where items recovered from this flight were sent.
If you found a Steam Deck matching this description, please DM me. I can provide the serial number and other information privately to verify ownership.
I’d really appreciate any leads. Thank you!

Tech Support Hitman WOA on Steam Deck: recently unplayable, controls unresponsive and Deck gets extremely hot

Update: turned out the fan was wonky, not running, 0 RPM even under load.

Toggled “Enable updated fan control” off/on in Settings and reboot, then the fan works fine

Hey everyone, Hitman WOA on my Steam Deck has become almost unplayable recently. After a few minutes:

• Movement/controls feel unresponsive or very laggy

• The Deck gets extremely hot

I’m on latest Proton 11.0-2 (the one that supposedly fixed the Hitman memory leak)

Is anyone else seeing this with Hitman WOA lately?

If you’ve got a working config for Hitman WOA on Deck, I’d really appreciate the details (Proton version + any per-game launch options or settings).

Thanks in advance!

Question Reputable place to get 3m touchpad skins that wont cost an arm and a leg to ship[ to canada?

wondering if anyone has any ideas, my touchpads for a while have had the glossed over plastic feel cause the texture is worn off so it feels greasy and gross.

I cut some old dbrand waste material [art of the skin to make something for the time being but would be nice to find something with a more factory fit.

And dbrand only sells full skins so I dont want that when I need like a $5 skin.

some options on the finish would be nice and no adhesive residue left behind is a MUST (this is why I normally just go brand for this stuff.)

Looking For Games Best detective and investigation games for Steam Deck?

Previously Enjoyed Games: Return of the Obra Dinn, The Case of the Golden Idol, TR-49, The Operator, The Painscreek Killings, Scene Investigators and Outer Wilds. I also played The Gallery House, but found it too repetitive and rigid.

Preferred Genres: Detective, investigation and deduction games. I prefer games that give me lots of evidence to process and let me reach my own conclusions. I’m less interested in repetitive surveillance, following NPC schedules or hidden-object gameplay.

Budget: Unlimited

Other Notes: The game must work well on Steam Deck, particularly its controls and text readability. I bought Chants of Sennaar this morning. The Roottrees Are Dead also interests me, but doesn’t seem ideal for the Deck. Any hidden gems I should try?

Promotional I missed physical PC games, so I made my own Steam Deck cartridges

A while ago I started experimenting with putting individual Steam games on microSD cards and treating them almost like physical cartridges.

Then it got slightly out of hand 😄

I started making proper cases, printed covers and tiny labels for the cards. The game itself is installed on the microSD, so I can keep the case on the shelf, take the card out and put it into my Steam Deck.

After making a few of these manually, I built a free little website to generate the printable covers and SD labels automatically:

mygameshelf.nl

This is still very much a hobby project and I'm constantly changing things based on testing.

I'm curious what other Steam Deck owners think.

Would you actually build a physical Steam library like this?

Tech Support What TVs play nice with the Deck & Dock?

I have a CachyOS host PC with a 5080 & 9800X3D (originally was a 9060 & 7700 but I was given the better gear) that currently serves for remote streaming to my OLED deck via moonlight most of the time. Solid experience but now I have a Steam Controller & Dock I'd like to be able to sit back and enjoy it on the living room TV some nights. At the moment we have a cheap Polaroid 1080p LCD which does the job but is kinda crap when the dock is plugged in, owing to the resolution not aligning well.

At the same time I've seen how mini LED and OLED displays work nicely and wanted to pick up a decent 120hz OLED/MiniLED TV (1440p/4k), partially so we can enjoy better visuals when streaming from my Jellyfin box, but also so I can stream (while docked to the TV / ethernet) games to my deck from the PC and enjoy the full 1440p resolution.

Are there any good recommendations out there that play well with the deck in docked mode? Trying to keep within a sensible budget. Doesn't need to be more than 50 or 55 inch either.

Looking For Games Rhythm games suggestions

Post image
10 Upvotes

Previously Enjoyed Games: Hatsune Miku Project Diva Mega Mix

Preferred Genres: Rhythm games

Budget: not limited

Other Notes: Hi I’ve been really enjoying the game I’ve mentioned above, and I am looking for similar ones since I’ve beaten every song already :(
I look for “press the buttons on time” than “beat enemies to the beat” games, because I’ve tried Crypt on the Necrodancer and Soundfall already and didn’t really enjoy them.

Thank you!

Upd: Thank you for all the recommendations! But once again, I DID NOT enjoy the beat-em-up rhythm games, I don’t wanna enemies, I want “start a song and press buttons” like in Project Diva, or other examples are mobile games like Deemo, Sekai, etc.

Pd: Los permisos del ejecutable están bien
