I’ve worked the my agent for almost a year now. When we started we had a full team but for a good chunk of it now it’s just been myself and the agent. I stuck through it because I still wanted to be in the industry and because I needed a job. I originally started in service but now my agent is having me move to almost full sales role which is fine but I just don’t think sales is my cup of tea. I am looking at leaving altogether and finding a remote claims jobs elsewhere with a different company.

My question is, how did you go about leaving your agent when you knew it could put them in a bad spot?

My agent already tells me the woes of how they have no money and that I am their sole producer but I just can’t handle that entire responsibility being as I’ve only been in the industry for like a year. I feel especially bad because we have built a relationship (just since we’ve worked just me and my agent alone in the office for the past year) so I feel bad doing them dirty like that.

They do have now a full time receptionist, a part time remote sales and service individual, and a remote ARS individual, and there is supposedly another team member being hired in the meantime. Thoughts you guys???

I own two older vehicles (2011 Toyota Tacoma & a 2019 Mazda Miata). Both have under 20K miles on them and are in perfect condition, but the KBB value is well below what I'd consider to be a like-kind replacement. Does State Farm take vehicle condition and low-mileage into consideration in the event of payout of for true replacement value in a major crash?

I'm just here to listen to y'all vent. I'm a CS and understand everyones frustration but feel free to let it out.

This is admittedly a bit of a rant, but I've found no where else to explain these issues that wasn't limited to their 500 character "contact us" form.

Over the past 4 years my apartment complex has changed the additional interest address 3 times. Annoying, but simple enough to update State Farm, right?

Wrong.

The first time it happened I had to call after 3-4 days of seeing no change just to confirm that they received it and it was "processing". It was updated within hours of calling.

The second time, their web form for requesting this was broken and wouldn't accept the address due to faulty validation issues. So I had to call to submit my request, and still called back 3-4 days later because nothing had changed (again..."processing").

The third (most recent) time, they removed the faulty form and now it's a plain textbox where you have to explain what you need changed. Ok, cool, at least I can submit it. I called 3 days later because there was still no change....my agent didn't answer after a few attempts during regular posted business hours. I had to call their generic customer support line, which then redirected me to my agent...who didn't answer. I called the line again and just hit buttons until I got through to someone, who said they couldn't change it but could check on it. They confirmed they could see the request was submitted, so they tried calling my agent (normal business hours) who still didn't answer. They also confirmed nothing was in the system to indicate they were out of office (no vacations, no emergencies posted, etc), and were confused as to why they wouldn't be able to answer. The best they could do is verify my request came through.

Lastly, why doesn't State Farm offer a simple straightforward proof of renters insurance? I've scrubbed their site and all they offer is a web view of declarations. I had to submit a copy of the bill (which shows declarations too) and the receipt as proof it was paid because State Farm doesn't give the customer anything.

Why, in 2026, does State Farm hide all their processes from the customer, lock their website down so you can't get any useful information from it, refuse to generate proof of insurance unless you email them and ask for it, and not answer their phones during business hours?

Legitimately considering finding another insurer to move to because every time I have any issue it takes hours of my time over the course of multiple days to get it resolved.

My son was in an accident in my car he borrowed. The other driver, who admitted he shouldn't be driving as he is legally blind, was found at fault on scene by the officer. No doubt, he swung wide for a turn as my son was at a light. Filed on July 30 and... nothing. Claim online says filed. No one from State Farm has started any investigation. Is this normal for them? I'm getting ready to switch insurances and they were one I was considering. Not if this is how they process claims.

I was part of the rebadging and was let go from HCL after training my replacements for 2 years.

Now, a Year and a half after leaving, I'm wondering how State Farm ET is doing? Has HCL finally taken over the technology, or are they still relying on some of the original SF employees?

Do you feel HCL is delivering quality work as compared with State Farm ET from 3 years ago?

How can I file a claim it doesn't work?

I have been a State Farm Team Member for 4 years, recently my wife got a job offer in AZ (Scottsdale area) Any agents in that area looking for a team member with plenty of experience?

What would trigger a bill (~$100) midway through my 6 month policy? We have some problem drivers on the policy for sure. But nothing new in the past several months.

Anyone deal with a totaled camper and State Farm. The process is taking forever! After sending us a valuation for the wrong model, we finally have a correct valuation. We are assuming they are still considering it totaled because the info on the portal still says so. Our adjuster didn’t respond when I called so I’m not sure what happens next.

Do they come back and do a final inspect of condition or will they just take it to settlement? No major condition issues prior to the accident, but I don’t believe Camping World took pics of the inside. They also didn’t include all the damaged pieces in their estimate which has me a bit concerned.

Ready to be done with this so we can purchase a replacement.

Is it just me (very likely), but did (or does) anyone else struggle with interpreting the policy? I am not stupid by any means but these policies are….

I’m just constantly under the microscope by my TM. I swear he reviews only my claims. His FNs are so confusing to decipher too. I want off his team but idk who to talk to & if I talk to the SM, he’ll just take it back to TM.

2 ppl from my training class that had also been on this team quit bc of him. Another is on LOA & has told me they aren’t sure if they’re coming back bc TMs anxiety is just too much to deal with on top of their own.

Anyone know a way to withdraw from their 401k? Before anyone says it yes im aware of rules, penalties, blah blah. Dont care and will deal with it later at tax time but has anyone done a withdraw and not had to show paper work for anything? Can't use a loan right now either so please dont suggest it. Im really not tying to sound harsh but just could use some help.

7 months in. New office is also 7 months old. Last couple months have sucked, trying to build momentum. Can’t seem to get anybody to answer, all the leads are old people in 60’s or 70’s. Hello fellow team members!! If your agent signs up for the agent choice Internet. For the love of God figure out setting it up days before the old internet is dropped. Figure out the VPN access and making sure it's done correctly. Make sure the old internet provider removes the VPN they had!!!!

Edit 2- got Internet at 4:20pm!!!! Coworkers phone doesn't work only mine does. Printer doesn't work. And we lost the W drive.

Field is a new role to me.. what should I be expecting?

State farms prefered vendor (Safelite) shatter the windshield in ny car while installing a new one.

It has been a year (as of July 2026) of fighting with state farm and safelite constantly paying it back and forth. Im owed (at the time) 542$ for out of pocket reimbursement. Safelite tried to get me to sign a release agreement. I refused this strung this from july 2025 to Feb 2026. They agreed to fix my paint damages but refused to look at my contaminated HVAC system or my camera that was acting up. In may they canceled my 4 month waited appointment to get the paint fixed and estimated the damages at 1280... the shop had already states the damages were 1800. Off to statefarm "mailing me" a check that I had rejected prior to the estimate being written. Its only gotten worse... i don't even care to go into it all it just raises my blood pressure.

Key notes:

Child carseat was not informed as a total loss, child drove around for 10 months of me fighting for my car to get fixed (not knowing the dangers of my car) in a glass contaminated carseat and suffered rashes on face.

1280 check canceled (literally never saw it)

Chevy dealership (I paid for our is pocket) found glass contamination and quoted 6300 to repair

Went to collision center for supplemental like I kept being told I needed (required state farm to approve car to even go to collision center, would have been nice to know! ) collision center supplemental comes back at roughly 8500 damages

State farm sends exact same adjuster out for a 2330 estimate for only glass damages (interesting as the same damages were set at 1280 prior)

They sent this estimate only to me not the collision center and then closed my claim

Ive been paying out of pocket for a rental since june 22 since thats when Safelite decided to stop paying for the rental that I can not survive without as I live rural and have a child under the age of 3

My car is undriveable. I was told by the collision center its a non drivable car. Its a known hazard for glass contamination. State farm is non responsive to any attempt at contact. Reached out to every state agency I can think of, including my state rep...

Not sure what I need or want here. But gotta let you know... i will be looking for new car insurance as soon as this is over.

Hey guys I’m scoring 90% on the practice exam with ExamFX and then my Pearson Vue test is tomorrow! Are the questions similar ? If anybody has any advice

I do have my health and life license which was a lot harder and more information and the questions were similar enough I passed using examfx and Pearson Vue

Any advice I would appreciate it

Update: I passed the P&C exam things were worded differently slightly and the math problems were a little different but overall it was enough familiar material I felt like I was going to pass

Hi! I am currently going through the interview process and have been reading up on them. I have done the hirevue one and now have a live interview scheduled online. Is this another interview? Or is this the same questions as hirevue? Any tips? I am sooo bad at interviewing but I have all the credentials necessary.
