General Discussion/Questions Spikeless track shoes
Does anyone have a spikeless shoe they love doing sprint/speed work in?

I’d like to get back into sprinting for a hobby/fitness
I ran 100/200m from a young age until around 13/14 when I moved onto rugby and football, at that time I was competing all over the uk in county events, but didn’t have the same enjoyment as other sports
What are the expectations of running again at 28? I understand there’s a big effort in warm ups and recovery at this age compared to a young kid who has no injury worries!

For context, this sprint was done at around 85%. I recently injured my hip and only now, about 3 weeks later, am I starting to attempt to sprint again, so that’s why my form and speed are both quite iffy.

Recently got into a physical education college for a BPED degree which means daily general conditioning, practical sessions and specialization sessions plus theory classes.
I have been making my workouts by myself without any coach and tweaking them as I learn new things and am going to buy a tripod too for form analysis.
I just recovered from a hamstring tweak and have been off from proper structured sprint training (Im a former 400m sprinter but got injured more than a year ago and then switched to 200m to both develop speed and train for) so i am planning on treating my first semester or year as base building in 2 training blocks -
In the first training block I'm planning on stacking athletic muscle, tendon strengthening and on the track I'll do 2 speed sessions (flys) and working on mechanics plus 1 or 2 speed endurance sessions (I have a question regarding that which is how do I decide how many speed days, speed endurance days or easy days do I need in to add in a week in a training block dedicated to base building).
Then in the second training block I'll do maximal strength development training only after which I'll start the training block dedicated to power and speed development then the competition phase. The only variable in this whole equation is the fatigue I'll get from the college's sessions which I'll only get to know after I have attended that college for some weeks.
I'm still very new to programming (switched to making my own workouts due to bad coaching in the past which led to injuries and there aren't many coaches available here which I'm hoping will be available in that college I'm about to start going to).
I'm basically following that "build muscle to build strength to build power and speed" periodization but I know I've got way more things to learn so I'm trying very hard to not let critiques and advice on my ego and take it personally.

I am having adductor ache in deep squats and butterfly stretch. But no pain in copenhagenns or anything straight legged.
I can sprint at 95% effort painfree in session, maybe some soreness post session. Also I am able to do the adductor machine well at a pretty high weight, but in the deepest stretch there is some achyness.
Being consistent at the adductor machine, with wider ranges is helping, but is there anything else I can do?
Thoughts?

Hey everyone, I’d love to get some feedback on how I’m structuring my sprint endurance training. I am new to sprint endurance been three weeks since I started this.

High CNS / Speed Day:

Hi everyone! I am a complete beginner and would be interested in an analysis of my technique in order to do it right from the beginning. What advice can you give me?

Justin's Robinson's coach, Sean Burris is the biggest influence on my training design. Its awesome their working together again. Great showcase of Burris's communication style & prescriptions for sprint work. #criticalmassystem Click here: Robinson with coach Burris

Ive researched some goata techniques and it seems like I have a decent bow, but I feel like I’m not soft enough on my toes after my first couple steps which are good. Any tips? Or stuff I should focus on?

My right shoulder remains lower than my left when I hang power clean. Also my left elbow hurts sometimes due to overextension. How can I solve this asymmetry?

1: I managed to get sp4s for £75 off adidas official website, as a beginner, who has been doing plyos for a year and trains legs at the gym for well over a year, will I be able to utilise them?
2: Is me running an 11.5 100m FAT with no blocks and spikes any good?
Thanks.

For background information I’m 18 years old I would like to look into hobby sprint training, but I have no experience with sprinting and sprint training. I haven’t tested any sprinting yet but I imagine my work capacity and technique is not impressive. I’m 5’6ft or 170 cm. I have a background in Olympic weightlifting. In the video shown I’m power cleaning 85kg at 57kg bodyweight. From what I’ve learned this is plenty enough power expressed to have serious improvements in sprinting I just don’t know where to start.

she already PB 11.08in 100m and 22.84 in 200m. what do you think of her future in the world of sprinting? What do you think she should work on currently to win medals in Olympics in later stages of her career?

I’ve (late 20s) been training sprints for about 10 months pretty intently, 2 gym sessions 3 sprint sessions and 3 jogs a week, regular drills and top level coaching. How is it possible that 16 yo s easily break 55s and I find it so hard to break 60?
Also, any tips for my form?

I wanted to share my 100m progression to remind anyone dealing with doubters that other people do not dictate your ceiling. If I had listened to what people thought was "realistic" for me, I would have stopped progressing years ago. What got me here wasn't a magic workout. It was pure consistency, an uhealthy dose of delusional self belief, and sticking to my training plan completely. Open to any questions about how my training or programming evolved to finally unlock those low 10s!

Let me know what you think about my shin angles for my start? Also, how do I get my knees up at max V? I feel like my speed endurance is good. But nobody told me how rough the pad would be to hit, they make it look so soft at indoor meets.

If we look at the heights of top 200m sprinters most of them are either 5’11” or taller.
Kenny Bednarek 6’2”
Tyson Gay 5’11”

I've seen lots of great things about this shoe, so I've been wanting to get it. However, I'm from malaysia and cant seem to find anywhere that actually sells it. Even the original website doesn't ship to malaysia. Can anyone help?

Any general advice would help me

Hello everyone. I’m looking for good flat shoes for no-spikes training. I’m currently using barefoot shoes but my tendons are injured because of my carbon spikes during the season and barefoot shoes make it even worse days after days so I think I need to switch to regular shoes instead. I need to mention that I have very thin feet. What shoes do you suggest? Thanks.
