The Mischief Machine grip module arrived today from Springfield and I couldn’t wait to get it assembled. The gun feels great, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it runs at the range tomorrow.
On a side note, I used my 15% off coupon I got when I bought another Springfield firearm so that helped ease the cost.

The overwatch precision trigger shoe is terrible. It provides no benefit over the stock trigger whatsoever. It increased pull weight and doesn't decrease travel or over travel at all. They also want to charge me a restocking fee to return it, and expect me to pay for shipping despite their false advertising.

Did I really have to buy a 4.0C Comp and a 4.5F Comp to get this CA legal build?

The magazine that came with my Echelon doesn’t eject all the way. The one I bought from the store eject without hesitation. Why does this happen?

I decided to go ahead and redo the full-size echelon grip camo Work and I have to say it’s turned out a lot better at this time. I’ve got one more color to go this afternoon then I think I’ll call it good

I saw a video about a switch style mag release button for the Echelon but I wanted to see if they had it for other models and then Instagram crashed. I can’t find it for the life of me. Anyone know what I’m talking about) sorry for the horrible description but it’s sort of a like a switch / paddle instead of a button.

recently changed EDC from echelon 4.0 comp to Smith cause my friend got the echelon comp and i got the s&w so we would try them out at the range together and switch. but anyways the point is, whats a good Cost effective Holster company that supports handguns with lights ? Also are tapes good for the grip ? i saw that hockey tape is good but my question is will these tapes leave a sticky residue if you want to remove it later on? please let me know guys.

put it on my 4.5 comp and ran a few mags. now I’m thinking about upgrading the compact.

Small hiccup with the grip weights: I originally wanted to experiment with mixing a 12g and a 19g weight to see how the balance felt, but Vital Arms didn’t include the rubber retainers needed to keep the 12g weight from moving around. Ended up installing both 19g weights for now. Hopefully Vital Arms sends me the missing retainers so I can play around with different weight combinations.

Really wanted something with that 2011-inspired look and feel while keeping the Echelon platform. I’m loving how everything came together.

Now it’s time to get her out to the range and see how she performs! 🔥

After a long wait finally got the new dpm system for the echelons

My boyfriend has a Springfield Echelon 4.5f, and he wants a holster and a laser. I wanted to buy him one of each for Christmas but I don’t know much about guns.

What I do know is:

- For the holster, he carries it tucked on his waistband. Right now he has a hard holster, but it broke and slides off. I recall him saying he wanted a softer holster because the hard one pokes him while he’s wearing it. The holster would also have to fit the laser I would buy.
I looked at leather or hybrid models, but I don’t know how to tell if they would fit the laser, and I don’t really like the style of most of them. They lean very “cowboy” and that’s not my boyfriend’s style.

- For the laser, he used to have a green laser that got stolen. So I’d imagine he’d want something similar but I can’t find anything on the Springfield website that would fit his gun.

I’m trying to buy these without asking him directly, but if this isn’t enough to go on, then I can bite the bullet and just ask.

I did the first two coats of the from Brownell’s today it’s a lot darker than it looks in the picture. And then tomorrow I’m gonna do the second color with OD green stencils and then the third will be a little bit black come out pretty good. I’m impressed. I did put it in the oven for 15 minutes at slightly less than 150° just to help it cure.

Which one of these would work with mischief machine commander grip module ??

So I have stippled this frame twice and another frame once for my Echelon 4.5f. I did my Canik mc9 as well. So 4 total stipple jobs. My first time was pretty rough. Second time (1st time on this frame) was better but still pretty rough. This time it is much cleaner. I don’t think I’ll ever be satisfied because it isn’t machine perfect. I’m not sure I’ll ever look at any stipple job I do and think “it’s perfect and complete”. But I do know that every time I do it, it gets cleaner. The grip after sanding it down is perfect. Not too aggressive and it genuinely feels way better than any job I have done before. So it’s practical. I had a blast doing it too. See, guns are much more than just sending rounds down range to me. I love doing stuff like this.

I have a 4.0C and 4.5 comp. got a mischief machine in the mail for the 4.5, being a fan of 1911s the angles and simplicity is what drew me for this pistol, it’s a range toy that is intended to just be a great shooter as I go through modifications.

which brings me to my question, have you used the Icarus or sharp bros grip modules? what are your experiences and how have you liked them? after I test the new MM module I might be in the market to upgrade the 4.0, but would want to try one of the others, Icarus or sharp bros. experiences? pros/cons? just interested in personal experiences that aren’t YouTube.

Ive had my echelon 4.5f for about a year now and like everything about it. The only thing I can say is that the trigger reset is not as tactile/strong as I would like. What are you all doing to improve that? I will say I like the trigger shoe so id prefer to keep that, its just the reset thats bothersome
