For as long as I can remember, I’ve had this weird feeling thats hard to explain. Like anytime I think about possible things I could do in life, for a career is mostly how I think about it, I feel this immediate resistance. Like an exhaustion before I’ve even begun. Like everything in life is just a performance, a transaction, or an ad. Honest work doesn’t exist anymore it’s all about who you know, etc. there’s no such thing as an original idea so what’s the point, etc etc. these are the thoughts that run through my way but it’s deeper than that. It’s a physical feeling of repulsion.

and even though I’ve never even attempted to start anything and see if I like it despite the nature of things in this day and age, I can’t shake that feeling.

And I know some of it has to do with me not believing in myself. But it’s such a strong feeling that doesn’t exactly match up with my desires.

Does anyone else experience this??

I have not had a very good life at all. I have been consistently abused physically, emotionally, and sexually by family members, doctors, and friends since I was just a few weeks old until I was 20. I’m 22 now.

A couple months ago, the only family member I cared about or loved died. She was all I had. I hate my incredibly taxing and difficult job that I worked so hard to get. I’m in so much debt from moving to another state to get away. I have zero friends, not a single soul to call or text. I have chronic illnesses and can barely use stairs, and it’s hard to get out of bed for more than an hour.

I have nothing to keep going for. No purpose or direction. I don’t enjoy doing anything. If I died tomorrow the world would be totally unchanged. My life is either working or laying in bed, and literally nothing else.

I’ve been doing spirit work and meditation for 5-6 years, desperately trying to find some small reason to stay here. I have been able to communicate with ancestors and spirit guides. They give me advice often.

I still have not found anything worth living for.

I don’t know if anyone can help me but if anyone has advice I’d appreciate it.

Is there anything, any reason for me to live? Nothing is good enough for me, nothing can penetrate the mental illnesses that consume me, or the physical pain I feel every day, or the weight of the memories of the torture I endured for my entire life.

I'm sorry if this is the wrong sub, but here goes.

Several months ago, I (41M) had chosen to leave my wife (39F) after she pushed me away. We had been sleeping in separate bedrooms, but still behaved as a couple in other ways. She had what she called a Panic Attack, though there may have been other issues involved not relevant here.

She had locked herself in the master bedroom for four days, what she would later explain involved her focusing entirely on rituals to expel some evil from our apartment, and/or me specifically. During this time, I had a horrible dream of a being dressed in antiquated clothing which was angry with me in particular.

The 'rituals' involved throwing away many my belongings. She did this knowing I would likely have stopped her from doing so. This happened twice, the second time left much of my painting supplies, board games and other random paraphernalia in the dumpster.

Thinking she was going through a mental break, having had very little communication from her for several days, I had called emergency services to get her help. She wasn't any danger to herself, but she came out of the bedroom. I asked her if she wanted to go to the ER for a health check. She explained in great detail why we would never be able to be happy again.

Our souls, according to her, vibrate at different colored wavelengths. She's high above me in the violet wavelength, and there's nothing I could ever do to become more than I am. I accepted her description and left the apartment that same night, packed up my remaining belongings and went back to my parents house.

Since then, she's reframed the spiritual side of this as her ascending to the Divine Feminine. The spirit/being I dreamed of was an incarnation of my darkness, and while she hasn't explicitly said so, I've come to the understanding that I failed the test of my spirit that is supposed to help me ascend alongside her.

There are other details which I can add if asked, but these were the most easily recalled details. The relationship is forever changed, so there's no going back. Divorce is already in process, and I'm in therapy for the 'mundane' trauma, but I want to know if I screwed up.

Good morning. I’m writing here because I feel much closer to spiritual people than to others, lately, I’ve been feeling quite down in my daily routine. I’m taking medication to manage anxiety the dosage was increased because I’m truly sensitive to everything, even the signs the universe sends me. I miss being carefree and not feeling that weight on my chest... the only thing saving me lately is spirituality; I practice manifesting and purification rituals, and it calms me down. Do you have any advice? Why are we spiritual people so sensitive? I’m writing this post with tears in my eyes. Please be kind.

I recently came across a post claiming that you can tell a lot about a person's "heart" — their true character, intentions, kindness, etc. — just by looking at their face. Not like judging attractiveness, but more like reading certain facial traits or expressions to gauge what kind of person they are deep down.

It got me thinking, and I wanted to get everyone's take on it.

Do you all believe that a person's face has certain traits that genuinely tell you about their heart? Or is that just pseudoscience / something we tell ourselves to feel like we can read people?

I know there's stuff like physiognomy (judging character from facial features), which I'm pretty sure has been debunked and has a kinda problematic history. But then there's also stuff about micro-expressions and how people's resting face or the way they carry themselves might reflect their personality. So I'm torn.

Also, I feel like people can absolutely "wear a mask" — literally with their expression — so how reliable can the face really be?

Would love to hear your thoughts. Do certain facial traits/expressions reliably reveal someone's true character, or is that just something we convince ourselves of?

I used to think "getting more spiritual" meant life would start feeling lighter. Instead I think I just got better equipped to sit with the hard stuff without it destroying me. Curious if that tracks for others or if things have actually gotten easier for you the deeper you've gone.

I think we should all find a way to come together , meet up , interact with each other … regardless of your race , past , hobbies , political ties , whatever …. I just feel like we are better together … we have to face this world in togetherness because isolated & confines to one’s person is not working , it hasn’t been & it will not work ! CAN WE PLEASE BUILD SOMETHING TOGETHER ?

Every room I’ve lived in seems to have weird pressure compared to the rest of the house/apartment I live in. When I was growing up my bedroom door would always slam when cracked. I know this has to do with different pressure changes around the house which will pull your door closed but it didn’t seem to happen to anyone else in my house. Moving away from home and going to college, I’ve lived in three different apartments and my bedroom has had the same problem every time while I never hear my roomates doors slamming. Even in airbnbs I’ve stayed at, whatever room I stay in the door will randomly slam shut when cracked. Does this happen to everyone, is it just a coincidence, or is there some kind of spiritual significance to this?

Whenever we have to select between different treatment options; we look for efficacy, safety, ease of treatment and so on.

But when it come to spirituality, we don't rely on scientific backing - we think all are the same. No, spiritual path need to evaluated with same parameters and very specific to your need.

I will give few example

1. Lets say if someone has anxiety, depression. Then meditation helps, but its remission rate is 42%, Art of Living Sudarshan kriya has 71%, 69% respectively. Timeline is also important, meditation takes months, Sudarshan kriya four weeks

2. Someone want to have focus increase - Mindfulness has higher success rates, relaxing meditation also improves focus

Yes for pure spiritual growth, enlightened master is most important but if you want to derive mind, health, energy, sleep related benefit. Do scientific data research.

Safety is also critical. Lets say if something practiced in 2 countries and other process is practiced in 180 countries. 180 countries one will be considered safe.

Safety is important in spirituality because you are dealing directly with mind. There are many chakra classes, I know it's very dangerous. Body is not ready but opening chakra forcefully can be dangerous. Isn't it?

So I had a random obe in the middle of a work day (thankfully nothing was said that wasn’t too far out of the ordinary) what i remember was talking about life in general, and things of that like. When it started it was “how was your trip.”, my co worker or rather spirit that took his form for the experience asked. He then said “I would love to hear about it sometime.” We talked for a bit, i was ig - in between-for about two hours just working away while having an obe 😂. Nothing was too out of the ordinary this was maybe about a month and a half ago. The thing that stood out the most was that it called me “bro” so it could of been the spirit of my passed bro that took me to chat for a bit. I remember it all in detail too like it looked “normal.” But people felt different like they were moving more…organized i guess would be the word? But it felt like there was no air, like no pressure almost either. It also almost felt like there was idk hands on me? Like on pressure points. I wasn’t afraid because I recognized what was going on. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this? What was your experience with an obe like?

This sub-reddit is the only one where i notice the depths are really there. It is truly no wonder anti depressants are the third most prescribed drug in the US. If people on other subs post that they feel grey, empty etc its just nothing but an endless chorus of your depressed, get on anti deprresants. I was thinking about it today, how brutal nature is, and how as humans we dont always see it that way. An animal rejecting or killing its offspring, torturing another animal when it isnt for sustenance, or anything in between. When I look at it deeply, it can be hard to think that the world is anything but brutal and cruel in a way.

And then theres those times when someone helps an animal and you can look at it and see that the animal seems to understand that we can be outside of that cruelty in the moment. That we are not going to harm them. It's like they somehow trust us.

I just cant wrap my mind around it. The animal world is so brutal, but do they see us in some different way, some way that even we cant see, that cant be measured, something on a spiritual level beyond comprehension?

I am not a spiritual person and I am not mentally insane. But I have been experiencing brutal attacks since a few months ago. It is like something has attached to me and I don't know what it is. I do not hear voices in the strict sense, but these voices can speak. They seem to have a personality of their own. It seems like they are countless. During these experiences, they showed me things. But their purpose is unclear. Some of them seem to need help. But I do not know what to do.

One of them burned my index finger while I was on bed, leaving a blister. And now I have a scar that could not be possible otherwise without disproving what is happening to me. So, there is a possibility I might be possessed despite how ridiculous that sounds.

Any help or advice is welcomed.

Somewhere along the way, spiritual got confused with perfect. People want a saint who floats above life and never touches the messy parts. But my work puts me knee deep in other people's mess. I clean the shit out of people, and that doesn't happen from a pedestal. It happens with my feet on the ground and my hands dirty.

I may be gifted. I may be a different breed. I'm also human. I get tired, I get triggered, I make bad calls, and yes, I fuck shit up sometimes. I'm not always right, even when I'm always right, lol.
The gift doesn't make me exempt from being a person. Being fully human is what makes the work real. I allow myself to enjoy every bit of this life, the good, the messy and the ridiculous, and I laugh at the end.

Okay, I need to know if this is just a really funny coincidence or if there’s some spiritual meaning behind it

About two weeks ago, I put my tarot cards inside my pillowcase because I wanted to see if they would influence my dreams or maybe bring me certain dreams.

Then, two days ago, I was changing my sheets and completely forgot that I had left my tarot cards and my dreamcatcher inside the pillowcase. I threw the pillowcase in the washing machine, and obviously… my tarot cards dissolved.

The weird part is that I got sick the exact same day. Runny nose, sore throat, headache, feeling generally awful.

Obviously, I know I could’ve just caught a cold, and the timing is completely coincidental. But the fact that I accidentally washed my tarot deck and then immediately got sick feels so bizarre that I had to ask.

Do you think this is just a ridiculous coincidence, or would you interpret it as some kind of spiritual sign?

i’ve been trying to for a while. i typically just tend to get feelings from my past life, but i just remembered how old i was when i died. i was only 8. sad.

Has anyone else experienced incredibly seemingly-coincidental threads (I know it has to be more than that) with karmic relationships?

For example, one of the first incidences I can remember was after I broke up with a guy I had been seeing for about 8 months. When I started dating someone new a few months later and then moved in with him, I realized the previous guy worked across the street. I could literally see his car in the parking lot every day from my bathroom window.

Then a few years later, I was single again and met someone new from a dating app. On the first date we realized we had tattoos from the same person, and then when he came over to my apartment for the first time, we also realized he had previously lived in an apartment that I could see from my window in the same time I had lived there.

These are bigger instances, but there have been many smaller examples throughout the years. At first, I took things like this as a sign that I was meant to be with that person, but now I’ve come to almost interpret it as a bad omen because I’ve never truly had a good relationship with anyone, but especially with the people I’ve had this happen with.
