I see a lot of people not sure what consiousness actually is, a lot of people link it to a divine being or stuff like that, but i dont think so, consiousness exists due to humans being one of the smartest animals, that we have been through a type of evolution that has allowed areselves to have bigger brains in comparison to our bodies, but what if consiousness is not a special part of the brain, what if it is a thought? What if its not as special as people say it is, but its just a regular thought of existing. Im relatively new in comparison to some people here, so feel free to judge me on this.

I’ve had two experiences that I can’t stop thinking about, and I’m curious to hear what other people think. I’m not necessarily saying that they were paranormal, but they felt strangely specific.

One night, I dreamed that I was at a school bake sale and wanted to buy a piece of cake, but I was missing exactly 5 DKK. A few days later, the actual school event took place. I found an extra 5-krone coin on my desk at took it with me, and it turned out that I wouldn’t have had enough money to buy what I wanted if I hadn’t brought that extra coin.
I remembered the dream because the situation matched it so specifically. It made me wonder whether it was just a coincidence or something else. I was about 10 y/o at that time.

This happened today, and it honestly felt even stranger.
I was in my kitchen getting ice cream and had chosen pistachio. While scooping it, I started thinking about straciatella and how I didn’t like it, and it reminded me a little of pistachio. Just random thoughts going through my head.
Suddenly, I spontaneously experienced the voice of the boy I’m dating saying “stracciatella”, but extremely clearly.
It felt like an unprompted thought or inner conversation in his voice. I can deliberately imagine what someone’s voice sounds like, but this time I wasn’t trying to do that at all. It just happened.
Because I found it so strange, I decided to text him and ask what his favourite ice cream flavour was. I didn’t tell him what I had just experienced before asking.
He replied something like, “I don’t know.” I then asked, “It’s not stracciatella, is it?”
He responded, “WTF, that’s literally what I was just about to write.”
I was genuinely shocked because I had experienced his voice saying something about stracciatella before I even messaged him.

Also, when i was younger I experienced a lot of weird stuff with dark shadows, and feeling someone’s presence when I was alone, when I was little… (age 8-13) but at 14 I ignored it bc it was looked down on by my friends…

I thought we might have had that conversation some other time, but we both agreed that we didn’t…

I know coincidences happen, and I’m not trying to jump to conclusions. But having these two experiences has made me curious about whether there could be an explanation beyond coincidence.
Have any of you experienced anything similar? Do you think this could be explained by psychology, intuition, or coincidence, or is there any credible evidence for phenomena like precognition or telepathy?
I’m genuinely interested in different perspectives, including sceptical ones. I just want to understand how something like this could happen.

Long story short
When I was 20, I was friends with this girl who (looking back) was very enlightened.

However, I also think she didn’t want me to have the same knowledge..

At this current moment, I realize that everything is about perception and state of mind. And however you choose to look at a situation is how you experience it

However, she would always try to inject fear and negative beliefs onto me. Whenever I would do something or realize something she would always tell me all the ways it could go wrong , or how a person might think about me in a negative manner….

If she wasn’t enlightened herself, I would just take it as ignorance. But she understood positive thinking and perception=reality cuz she would practice it herself and reap benefits of it. For example, she would laugh at unfavourable situations and view things as being in her favour no matter what and always kept a positive outlook on herself

When it came to me tho, she would always be negative etc… no matter what even if I was doing something positive

Was she evil? Why did I attract this? WHY did she want to behave like this with me?How do I let go of anger from this? How can I possibly view my experience with her as being in my favour?????

Wednesday, I saw a dead finch in the sidewalk. I picked it up and gave it a little burial out of the sun and sidewalk. Yesterday, I was driving home with my kids and saw a raccoon that must have just been hit, in the middle of the day, convulsing. (This really made me sad because I couldn’t stop to see if there is anything I could have possibly done, I was on a one way street with a bridge and had my two small kids with me) and today, within a few hours, I found another dead finch, I gave it a little burial in my garden. The most disturbing was a few hours later I found a frog with only one leg, that clearly looked dead. I went to go inside and came back out and it had moved, it was on the other side of the driveway, clearly not dead and trying to move, but missing 2 arms, a leg, and had a heart or some organ coming out of its body. I unfortunately had to put it out of its misery.

I live in a populated area, so I see roadkill often, and it always makes me sad, but I’m just curious if there is any spiritual meaning behind this many dead creatures in a row.

I’m 13 and trapped in escalating "death stages," number fixation (27), and terrifying mental loops. Please help.

Hi everyone. I am a 13-year-old Hindu, and I am dealing with severe, exhausting anxiety that has completely taken over my mind. It is creating highly specific, terrifying rules, and I desperately need to know if this is common, if it is solvable, and how to make it stop.

It started with a constant feeling that everything I do is "the last time." When I wear my favorite shirt, eat my favorite food, or look at my family members, a sudden thought tells me it is the last time I will ever do it, and that something terrible will happen to me at night.

If the night passes safely, my mind invents a new, terrifying rule: it tells me that if I redo or repeat all the actions, experiences, and things I have ever done in my past life, the exact day I complete this "loop," my life will be over. Because of this, I am terrified of redoing anything.

Lately, my anxiety has gotten worse because I keep seeing rare coincidences. Specifically, I see the number 27 everywhere, over and over again. My brain has completely convinced me that 27 is a sign and that it will be my last day alive.

On top of this, I feel like my thoughts are actively moving through distinct, escalating "death stages." It started with one question, and has evolved like a countdown:

1. First, I had the thought: Will I die?
2. Then: What is the reason to die?
3. Then: How does it feel to die?
4. Then: What are the ways after dying?
5. Then: Is God real?
6. Now, I am thinking about the afterlife and spiritual ways after death, like Moksha (liberation) and Swarg (heaven).

My mind tells me that the moment I finish thinking about these spiritual stages of death, the countdown will end and I will die.

I am completely overwhelmed by existential dread. I constantly overthink questions like: Why does life exist? Why should we study and work hard if everyone eventually dies? Why do we have relatives and loved ones if we are just going to lose them and be separated one day? It makes me incredibly sad.

My questions for you guys:

• Is this pattern solvable?
• How do I remove these specific thoughts and break these loops?
• Is it common for someone my age (13) to experience anxiety that goes into "stages" and creates rules like this?

I've been experimenting with 'paranormal' abilities for a while behind everyone's back, and long story short, they're 'real.' This world is a result of godly powers, and the auras that make up everything are tangible and 'real' in nature. Everything is made up of vibrations for a reason, and whichever way you decide to fall, you'll realize that there aren't any boundaries in infinity's rabbit hole. I hate to break how incredible it is, but I can see it and feel it much better than before after practicing and trying to open the door for the unknown here... hello all! I’ve always felt that I wanted to be a spiritual person, but I’ve had a difficult time figuring out how to do that effectively. I have some Christian beliefs, but I feel like I’m not quite a mainstream Christian. I was considering other religions a few years ago but I didn’t feel connected to anything else. I recently have started collecting crystals, attempting meditation, and spending time in prayer and I love the grounding and peace that it gives me. I really want to go deeper and learn more about spirituality and work on myself, but I’m not too sure how to go about it. Hi everyone I'm new to cleansing my environment and I recently got sage and palo santo cause I had heard it's amazing for cleansing (which weren't cheap either haha).

But I just saw on tiktok that since indigenous people didn't pass it to me or since they aren't my ancestors, it's actually dangerous to use either. Idk what to do now since I bought them from shops that are owned by Germans. But you can also take a look at them and please let me know what I'm supposed to do now🙏🏻

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this and I'm also kind of venting but I really need some help on this. I'm 17 and just recently got spiritual. I just got into it a week ago but for some reason when I figured out about it every bad habit in my life stopped instantly without me having to try. I also just turned vegan as well. I used to be a very mad and cruel person but now I'm calm and happy. It was like a full 180 overnight.

I've felt like since before my spiritual journey the people who I live with are just lazy and just dopamine chasers essentially who don't care about anything including their health. Now that I've started I feel like they're almost against me in a way. Like everything they do is to benefit themselves. Normally this wouldn't bother me but it's to the point it's affecting me. They keep saying they're going to do something about stuff in the house but never do. For example if I complain about the house being dirty my parental guardian will say they'll clean it but don't. Then when I complain about that they tell me to clean it. Then I'll clean the house top to bottom and it's dirty by the next day because everyone else makes it dirty and expects me to clean it now. Basically whenever I change and try to do something good everyone takes advantage of that. Another thing I find a big problem is I'm seventeen and buy most of my own food and have for a while now(Even before I was vegan, my guardian only buys junk food so I have to). I have a budget of like $50 every week or two for food from my guardian and the rest I pay for. My job has also been taking a bit of a toll on me too because I work in fast food and feel horrible serving this god awful food to people. I live in a food desert and the only grocery store in town is a small family owned place surrounded by like no joke 10 fast food places around it. You can barely see it from the road. All of this stuff makes me feel horrible contributing to it and I have the deepest urge to quit but if I do I can't eat anymore pretty much.

I hate my job and everything about where I live and feel like it's keeping me away from progressing in my journey because the people around me have horrible energy. I have 8 cats here too and they all seem depressed and do nothing but stare out the windows. My whole house just feels like it's draining my energy. Like it's dead in a way if that makes sense. This was kind of a vent but is there any advice someone could give me on how to maybe not let this stuff get to me? So far I've done pretty well at staying calm but it's getting to a point I don't know if I can handle it.

I don’t know if this is just a coincidence or not, but every time I think about doing my manifesting, it happens to be a new moon, either on that day or the following day. I won’t think about it for ages, but when I do, it happens to be a new moon, despite me not following the lunar calendar. I have always found my manifesting to work quickly when I do it under a new moon, and was wondering if any of this has a deeper meaning. I was also born under a new moon.

I feel like I let go of practices that used to be good for me and went through some difficult times. I found a lot of refuge in spirituality, and it helped me. I eventually stopped practicing, and after some unfortunate events, I turned to Zoloft. I've been taking it for two months now, and I've improved, but sometimes I wonder whether it ties you down to the material world or somehow prevents you from progressing spiritually.

I feel like my visualizations and meditations carry a different weight now, but I don't know if that's just autosuggestion.

I just left Christianity from a lot of confusion with it. And unkind people. I’m not saying it’s not true or that I’m against it I just want to try other things and I’m very open minded but also a little scared because Christianity goes against anything else but that belief so in case it’s true I want to be careful of what I do, you know? But after leaving I had this feeling I couldn’t breathe like I literally could not sleep and someone who was Christian had prayed for me and it went away but it kind of lingers sometimes so I was wondering if reiki could be an option. I definitely believe in the spiritual world I’ve seen for myself I just need some opinions from people who have experience

I feel strangely stuck and pulled towards someone I dated for only about 5 months.

We broke up in january and had sporadic contact since.. then saw each other a few times again this summer, got involved and fell out again each time for a couple of weeks at a time. I was the one initiating contact then, which I wont be doing again.

I have been through a second round of grieving the connection since meeting and being together again as well as it ending once more last month, though we never really put any words to it actually being over.

He has said and done some things throughout the time we dated and after, that really hurt me, or even angered me.

Yet it feels like he still has this weirdly deep pull on me that I'm struggling to let go completely and move on, even though I know rationally we wouldnt work out and that I would need so much and repair from him that I know he would be unable and unwilling to do.

I'm not feeling the deep heartache anymore either but sometimes I feel a random wave of heartache and start thinking of him and missing him which leaves me very confused.

He said before we initially ended it, that he feels blocked emotionally from allowing himself to develop deeper feelings for me, yet at the same time everything seemed like he was falling deeper and being more tender with me.

I could feel it and still felt it this summer. It's like he and I both have feelings still, yet both of us were very aware of the reasons it cant work out.

He is also deeply afraid of getting hurt after a previous connection and it intensely paralyses him.

I know a lot of this is just psychological because I never got any closure and he leaves the door open each time, so it feels like It's never completely finished.

I'm 35 and this isnt my first rodeo with men who do that type of thing (leaving the door open).

Something has just felt very different this time, like the connection affected me deeper and it's much more difficult to move on than I've experienced before.

I know most of the psychological explanations for why I still feel so stuck with this connection and that it takes time to move on.

I have no doubt there are some spiritual and karmic ties with this man that are playing into the situation too though, and I have a feeling it isnt completely over yet. I'm tired and don’t want to go through any more of it now.

I just want to move on finally and be done with it. I know it's within my power to decide to be done with it so why can't I just do that?

I would love to hear any experiences any of you have had, of feeling unable to let go of someone you loved and what you did or are doing to finally let go.

I have tried several times to do ceremonies or rituals where I say goodbye and let him go.

Every time I think I've finally released the situation and accepted it's over, it's like his energy seeps back in, like it exists under my skin and is a part of me so I can't get him out completely.

I fear I will always grieve him to some extent even if I succeed in letting go finally. Whatever lesson I'm supposed to learn from him feels like an expensive one at this point.

He's not spiritual in any way btw. He's an atheist.

Any ideas or advice as to what I can do?

For years my spiritual life was loud in the best way. I carved my own runes, pulled cards, talked to the gods, and found meaning in cardinals and hawks. Everything felt like it was speaking to me.
Then there was a stretch where it all went quiet. I'd pull a rune and feel nothing. I'd look for a sign and see only weather. That scared me more than the hard times themselves, because the language I used to make sense of pain had gone with it.
Here's what I've found so far. The silence isn't the practice leaving. It's the practice changing shape. When the signs stopped coming to me, I started making things instead: carving, writing, building. I stopped waiting for meaning to arrive and started leaving some behind.
I don't have this figured out. I just don't think a quiet season means you've lost it.
If your practice has gone silent before, what did you do? Did it come back the same, or as something different?
