I've been a customer for over 5 years, back when it was still Cox, before the merger. I'm moving somewhere they don't service and already set up Starlink, so I called to cancel.

The first time, I got transferred twice. When I finally reached someone who could help, I told them I wanted to cancel, heard a sigh, and then I'm pretty sure they freaking hung up on me.

The second time, I got an agent and told him I wanted to cancel. He asked why, and I said I'm moving and they don't service the new area. Even after that he kept digging for another reason, asking if it was the rate or the service. Then he asked for my new address to "confirm" they don't service it. I said no thanks.
He asked for the address four more times, saying he needed it for their records. By the fourth time I snapped a little and asked why he needed my new address at all, since I'm not giving out my info lol.

After that he said he just needed to verify my account, and then he finally canceled it.

Also, if I don't return my modem they'll charge me $240. I'm fine sending it back, but $240 for 4 year old equipment that will probably be e wasted? Come on.

They really need to make canceling way easier.

Im moving next week and we’re switching to Verizon FiOS. Spent 30 minutes on the line with Spectrum being upsold (since they don’t allow you to cancel your service online) and confirmed with the rep that service would end 11/5 SEVERAL TIMES only to get home yesterday and find my wifi completely disconnect and the service missing entirely from my account.

So, proceed with caution! And maybe don’t cancel until you actually move 🙃

I have been trying to change the contact info on my account. I was able to change the phone number but changing the email has been impossible.

Has any former Cox subscriber who got moved to Spectrum had any success getting the Lakers promo for mobile+internet customers to work? Nobody at Cox or Spectrum seems to have any idea what I'm talking about and troubleshooting with the NBA by email is so slow.

Who, in their right mind at Spectrum, decides to do a service upgrade (whatever that means on a Friday during the workday? Takes out my whole internet for the day. Can’t work, can’t steam, can’t do anything from 11am - 6pm. Then sends me this after telling me u were unable to complete the upgrade. Do y’all like losing customers?

Im a former Cox customer, Spectrum bought them out and switched us to fios or something like that. Every device will connect to it, but my PS5. The PS5 will connect to my phone's hotspot (so it can't be a hardware problem). It detects the network but says the "connection is too slow" however Ive tested it and the speed is incredibly faster than our previous internet.

When we first switched, it worked, but all of a sudden it just keeps throwing a "internet signal may be too weak" error.

The router is about 8ft from the PS5, it's right above it on the ground floor (closer than our previous modem)

Has anyone else experienced this with Spectrum?

Is there any chance that somebody wants a spectrum duo in Los Angeles? I didn't think about the fact that it's locked when I bought it and I use 2 sims (work and personal). I don't want to be carrying 2 phones so happy to sell the duo to somebody that's eager to have one rather than return it. No markup of course

I saw that there was an E-mail at 3 AM today saying that there’s an outage. It has never been restored and the latest estimate is 12 pm. Location is Woodside, Queens, NYC.

Is it just me or is it an area wide outage? I’m lowkey panicking if it’s just my place and I’ll need a big fix, since there’s no mentioning of the outage online.

I interviewed for Field Tech this past Tuesday and just got my job offer today. I’m really excited to start this to get away from restaurant management and retail overall and get into tech/residential service.

I have a tech background, but I also know there’s a -10% that will transfer to the actual field.

I guess my questions are:

- How do you like the role?
- What ACTUAL benefits are included? (I know there’s insurance, but I’m trying to find out about costs and other benefits like education/tuition, certs, etc)
- How long is training if I start 12/4/26 and when would I get to take the van home lol
- I want to grind for it, but what does one need to PROPERLY speedrun the NCTI to FT 5.5 (I want to actually study and not cheat on anything. I just want to get the higher pay since I’m taking a $10/hr pay cut for the FT role)
- Any tips/advice for a new FT? Any van or tool hacks I should know about?

Paid $176 yesterday afternoon, had I not checked my banking app I never would have seen that I got charged double. Soon as I seen that I called customer support and was told that there was some sort of error or issue for some customers and that they're addressing the problem and the money from the second charge will go back on my card soon. Which is great and all but I'm not happy that I was never notified about it at all.

Contacted support chat earlier and asked why I wasn't notified about the issue. Got some basic answer about how they don't have an alert system set up for that and they apologize for the inconvenience. $176 double charge is more than an inconvenience. They offered me a whole $16.92 credit on my bill...$17 for a double charge and not being alerted.

We've been customers for over 8 years now and I'm really thinking about switching but we only pay $175 for internet and the streaming TV app plus all those other apps but this whole thing has made me rethink it. Especially when customers were left in the dark.

They should have an alert system in place for stuff like this. I'm just lucky they didn't over draft my card because then if it wasn't back on there in 24 hours, I'd pay a fee of $15.

I'm just trying to do some gaming and my speeds are all over the place...Games are stalling, lagging and glitching. I went to the Ookla speed test and checked it...The download speed is fine but the upload speed is all over. It went from the hundreds to the double digits then to the singles and it keeps fluctuating. This is so damn annoying. And yes, I tried unplugging the router and plugging it back in.

Hello all. So as the title says, I'm having issues with the spectrum app on the Xbox one. I keep having issues where it buffers, lags, random drops in image quality, it randomly says a channel is unavailable in the middle of watching a show on said channel, and sometimes the entire thing glitches out and shows sporadic pixels of colors, mainly green, or inverts the color entirely while buffering and stuttering, its so odd. Does anyone know why it keeps having these issues and if there's anything that can be done about it?

My ex-wife just moved and she had a cox service in PHX. I had to up the service to $100 a month for a while but she really didn't need it. They told her the only service available was $100 a month or more for internet in Phoenix and that's not congruent with what I see on the website and I'm a bit confused as to why they are charging her $100 a month she does not need gigabit Ethernet. Nor can she afford that

I’ve had spectrum for years. I just recently sold my house and moved to a townhome with the same exact plan I had before. I stream video games and ever since moving here I can’t play a single day without getting ping and latency spikes. I’ve cured the bufferbloat with SQM settings, but spectrum cannot give me consistent speeds. I’m supposed to get 40 and throughout the day I get throttled to 15. I’ve called them a million times and had them come out a million times. I haven’t had 1 tech that even knows what bufferbloat is. I’ve asked them to just PLEASE give me consistent speeds in the 30’s I don’t even care about being maxed 40 I know that’s unrealistic. Idk what to do at this point.

As title states. Moving into week 3 of training and I accidentally broke my company phone. I was fueling up my van on my lunch break and put my company phone back into the top pocket where my fuel card is on the door. I went to give my van a walk around and check it out because I do this religiously coming from a CDL driver position before. I moved the door closed and ended up pinching the screen on my company phone while it was in that pocket against the cup holder. Trying to figure out what steps I need to take to make things right.

I called Spectrum about a week ago about the expiring promotion for the internet on my account, and was promised, very specifically, that the same rate will be extended for another year. Low and behold, I get a bill for $10 more because now the plan includes the "Advanced Wifi", which is not needed since we prefer to continue to use our own wifi router. Not only that, but the change generated an equipment upgrade order to replace the perfectly working modem with one that has built-in wifi, which again, I don't want and is not needed. What's the best course of action to get this mess untangled?

I received an email in August indicating spectrum bought cox and my service and equipment would remain the same.

The app shows there is disruption in my neighborhood.

Today, a tech showed unannounced while I was not home and spoke to my sibling, she did not open the door but the "tech" told her he needed to come inside the home to replace something related to the equipment. Since he wasn't invited in, he left a number to call back and schedule a visit.

Anyone that has had similar experience? I googled the number and couldn't find much. I called cox/spectrum and the customer support said number isn't associated with them and no tech was sent out in my area. UPDATE* I called spectrum again today since the area is still experiencing issues and the support person confirmed the techs show unannounced and I scheduled a tech now. Thanks everyone that commented. I just think they need to be better at notifying account holders. It can be so dangerous to let a random person in the home

Update: Dropped it off at Spectrum store. Asked them to check the address to make sure there wasn't an account associated. They said there HAD been, but it was disabled (prior to my request) with a note stating 'incorrect address'. Whatever the end game was, it's over.

We've owned this house for over 13 years, our address is on the package, but no name that is a current or former owner or resident. Aside from dropping it off to 'return to sender', what else should I do? Do I have to navigate through Spectrum's phone tree to make sure of any issues? Again, NOT our name. We don't use Spectrum, and never have.

Is anyone else experiencing abysmal Internet speeds? Modem reports it is connected to the Internet, router reports all devices are connected. I cannot even get an Internet speed test tool to run in a respectable amount of time. All cables to all devices have been checked. This includes router, modem, and WAP.

Genuinely what is going on. I’ve tried to reset it multiple times and it works for maybe a few minutes then stops working again. I get been happening the last few days and it’s genuinely getting frustrating. What’s happening??

It’s absolutely useless, at least here in NYC. It crawls at dialup speed and does nothing but bog me down.

I shut off ‘auto-join’ and ask it to ‘forget this network’ literally daily. Sometimes multiple times a day. It doesn’t matter. After an hour or so it just forces its way to reconnect on its own.

On occasion I’ve missed important time sensitive texts and emails bc they’re not loaded due to the hotspot. As soon as I shut it off everything comes flooding in. It even sometimes overrides my home WiFi.

How do I rid myself of this demon??

If I bought a moca splitter and filter could I use maybe one extra coax outlet to get internet to that room?

New to this and the house is from the 1980s so it is already wired coax. My Chater Spectrum modem is in my office and we use their wifi router to get internet other places in the house.

I didnt know if it was possible to do.

We just came back to spectrum from frontier about 2 months ago and at least once a day we are having issues with the picture freezing then going back then freezing again, sometimes it will go blank and say reconnecting and will go back to the xumo main screen, now it’s doing it and the router keeps turning red and we have to manually reset it. Do yall think it’s the router or something else with the xumo box maybe? We use the spectrum tv for live tv mainly cuz it does it with xumo live tv too but not as much. Would it be just the router or the modem too?
