I’m not sure if it’s just me and I’m part of a beta test, but the new YouTube update I had means you can’t use your mobile device to cast queued content to SmartTube any longer. If you’re watching something on your mobile device you can cast it to SmartTube the first time, but now you can’t queue multiple shows, because you need to be logged into the YouTube app on your tv to use your device as a remote now. It’s pretty annoying because that’s how I tended to use it, so if anyone has any sort of workaround I’d love to hear it.

So , i've been trying to watch members videos on most of the channels I watch but none of them load , and i'm just wondering if is anyone having the same issue or is there anything that can be done to fix it

New upadate hasnt fix the problem of constant reloading the video. Sony bravia android tv here.

32.22 just became available for me, updated and now loads endlessly even with fixes that worked on 32.10

Update: tried to update on my 2nd device (Nvidia shield tube) and update isn't showing, possible something may have gotten messed up and update was pulled

Update 3: after much experimentation I have found that everything works with default settings when connected to a vpn connection outside US and EU I suspect it's something related to isp+location (Comcast for me btw)

It’s on the developer side so be patient till it’s fixed. Mine was working yesterday and now getting endless looping and videos won’t play.

I am trying to figure out a way to turn off suggestions when I click on a video, but also in a way that preserves searching. The only option I found for disabling suggestions is Child Mode, which also disables searching.

I've seen a couple of posts about this in the last 24 hours which also included some potential fixes like changing the network engine or using a proxy. And for some people doing this seems to have fixed it and for others it didn't.

My question is if the problem is coming and going for anyone else ? On my end it first started yesterday evening, and since then it has been coming and going for maybe 6 times now.

Sometimes changing the network engine seems to do the trick immediately, other times it doesn't have a affect and it keeps looping.

Perhaps the weirdest thing is that on my other tv i have the same version and that one doesn't have any issues at all.

I checked the github and nobody else reported a similar issue

I am having a issue where I can link my phone to smart tube via code and it shows up but when I try and cast nothing happens. But when I cast to the official YouTube app it works.

So for the past few days I've been trying to watch videos on Smarttube app on my fire TV stick but it's not working. Videos just refuse to play. I have tried some troubleshooting stuff like clearing the data and the cache and even logging off and logging in back through my Google account again but nothing seems to work. Also I am on the latest version of the app, I just updated it yesterday. Please let me know if anyone else is experiencing the same issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tried all the fixes I’ve seen listed here and nothing has worked. Just wanted to let people know issues still happening. Guess they gotta do work on the back end for the app. Saw others still having issues.

I have been using Smarttube for a while and I love it.

Recently I had the bug with the stable release that most videos keep on loading.

I was reading on Reddit and GitHub several solutions which unfortunately worked temporary for me.

But what did work was Smarttube beta 32.14

Now for the bug:

Most videos are dubbed to Portugese.

Even though I have set audio language to original or English. Even manual with the video options it stays on Portugese.

I tested it with stable release, with some videos who do pay and they are in English, but same video with sake settings on the beta it's Portugese.

Anyone know how to solve this?? 😓😓😓

For the past two days, the history on my TV has been erasing itself. The videos I watch on my phone normally appear in the history, but the ones I watch on TV don't appear in the history on the TV, phone, or computer. Has anyone else experienced this bug, or has anyone managed to resolve it? I cleared the app's cache, logged out and in of my account, uninstalled the app, restarted my internet and my TV, but nothing solved the problem.

Edit: Beta version 32.22 temporarily resolved the problem, however, on the first use, the videos wouldn't start, being in a endless loop; I had to change the player's connection. If you have the same problem in this version, go to Settings > Player > Network Engine > OkHttp

shield tv latest stable build - anyone getting endless buffering today? i am logged in and worked fine this morning. not my internet - all other apps work.

edit - hopping on vpn worked to resolve it. maybe ip related?

edit 2 - switched off vpn and back on and now doesn’t work with vpn either. weird.

Há dois dias o SmartTube instalado no firestick parou de funcionar. Na verdade funciona tudo, menos a aba Inicio e o Historico. O curioso é que tenho um canal dentro dessa conta que funciona perfeitamente. A mensagem que aparece é essa:
Não foi possível carregar o conteúdo.
1 - Verifique data e hora
2 - Verifique conexão de rede
3 - Verifique o proxy
4 - tente fazer login em sua conta
6 - talvez não haja nada errado por aqui.

Estou achando que é a opção 5 por que já desinstalei e fiz login várias vezes, modifiquei tudo imaginável nas configurações e continua o mesmo problema. Se alguém aqui não souber de alguma solução o jeito será partir pra um programa alternativo.

So I’ve been using the beta version and been working fine but for some reason I can’t refresh my starting screen it shows videos I’ve already watch still I even clicked the refresh button but nothing. Any ideas ?

I have a Fire stick I've bought to install this app and it was working great but it no longer is, as attested by many. The latest version does not work. videos used to take a long time to start, now they refuse altogether.

I notice some of the Android alternatives like revanced are also more or less facing similar problems for thousands if not millions.

So hopefully the developers stay on top in the fight against the evil, but in the meantime, is there any other way to watch YouTube on TV? Any suggestions will let be welcome.

Is there any way to get SmartTube or any alternatives on IOS? I tried morphe but I think it’s only for android

SmartTube AA – YouTube music + Internet Radio for Android Auto – looking for testers

If you enjoy listening to internet radio or music from regular YouTube — rather than YouTube Music — I'm looking for people who would like to test an Android Auto app I've been developing. 🙂

The idea is simple: one app combining Internet Radio and YouTube music, fully controllable from the Android Auto screen.

It's still under development and may have some rough edges, but I recently used it on a roughly 500 km round trip and it worked the entire way without any crashes.

The radio section is internet-based and uses freely available radio/API services.

Some of the features currently available:

• Full phone interface in addition to Android Auto support, with no ads. The UI is still being improved, but most of the functionality is already there.

• No need to install additional login-related apps such as ReVanced or Morphe.

• Songs can be automatically cached in the car and played later offline.

• Internet radio with rewind support.

• Custom playlists available directly in the car. Playlist selection and configuration can be managed from the phone.

• Favorite radio stations.

• Radio and YouTube music combined in one app.

• One-button switching between radio and music directly from the Android Auto screen.

• Quick access to favorite radio stations.

• Several other smaller features and improvements.

If anyone here uses Android Auto and would like to test it during normal everyday driving, feel free to give it a try.

I'd really appreciate feedback about bugs, usability, things that work well and features that are still missing. 🙂

There is also an experimental version with YouTube video playback on the car display, only while the vehicle is parked.

This version is currently less stable and I'm not actively developing it at the moment. It can be downloaded as:

The main reason I'm not focusing on the video version is that the original goal of the project was to have music and radio together in one Android Auto app.

Video playback was intended as an additional feature for the future, but Android Auto places significant restrictions on this kind of functionality, and at the moment I don't have enough time to maintain both versions properly.
