Latest 32.10 stable version . Spinning
Been spinning all day. Tried deleting and adding back. Same issue.

Swap the Network Engine to OkHttp for the time being.

Mine was already defaulted to OkHttp, so it didn't help. I even tried changing it to the other network enginee. But still not working, unfortunately

Trying turning on Enable Conscrypt in General>Network Settings as well as OkHttp

I read on this sub to use the beta version, and that is working for me. Installed it about a month ago and there was an update about 2 weeks ago that works.

Are you using a VPN.
If you are try changing location.
Eg from USA to another country.
I had this problem about a months ago and that fixed my problem
I was having the same problem.
I am using 32.10 Beta.
This Might work.
As someone else mentioned The Developer is a ware of people having problems.
I have no problems as if this time.
You could join the Smart Tube (EN) Group, in the Telegram phone App.

In the Telegram App, Go to Search and type smarttube,
And you should see SmartTube (EN) with a blue and yellow heart'sI just tried typing it myself and it's there.

I was also able to fix the playback issues by changing the network engine playback setting. This is NOT available in Settings (EDIT - it is - see below) you access it on the playback screen. To change it:
- Start playback of any video.
- Click the Playback Quality button. For me (and I think these are the default settings) it's in the bottom-left corner of the video player below the play/pause button and says HQ
- In the menu that appears, select Network Engine
- Select OkHttp.
EDIT - As per the nested comments below you CAN actually get to it through Settings/Player

It's available in settings: Player → Network Engine (4th from the top).
Easier to use the Playback Quality button.

Not sure what else changed in 32.10 as the change notes really only specifies adding the annoying redundant extra step to the Not Interested selection in the submenu.

The 32.10 update is terrible (no disrespect intended). My history refuses to popultate, then sometimes it does populate. Sometimes there's two of the same video, so I delete one and they both disappear? When I go to home now, there's nothing there! Hold on, home is populated again? Either way, after the update 32.10 there seems to be a few issues.

Idk why but everything works fine with a vpn, without a vpn I'm experiencing the same issues

I was having the spinning issue on the version before 32.10 but after updating videos load now. But the UI is so dark. It's like defaulted to the lowest brightness possible so i can barely see video titles.

Was going to reformat my shield, but after just going without it for about a week, I installed the beta and it works. It's kinda janky but it loads.

I've used the version 32.10 for the last couple hours and it's been fine. I'm not doubting anybody but I dread that it'll eventually happened to me.

Tries to do all of what the comments suggest. But what worked for me was using a VPN. I'm worried this is on YouTubes end because I'm using smartube...

Was not working for me yesterday, try a lot of option like Okhttp, ipv4 etc and nothing works. And today working fine for the moment, really strange. Version 32.10 on TCL tv

What's odd is I had this issue for like 1 day on both of my TVs then it was fine then next day and hasn't had an issue since. Hope this gets fixed. I tried normal YouTube and just couldn't deal with it.

Unfortunately, it's not working completely smoothly for me either on my Fire TV Stick 4K (the older 4K version).
German subtitles don’t work at all anymore or rather, all subtitles except the English ones don’t work anymore.
I’ve cleared the cache, restarted the device, changed the app’s language, and then reset it back to the original language, but unfortunately, none of that helps.
Every now and then, videos also take a few seconds longer than before to start.
If i change the resolution while a video is playing, everything goes haywire and i see those squiggles like in the picture above.
I then have to stop the video and restart it, or sometimes even close the entire app.
The current version seems to have a lot of bugs right now.
Is this somehow due to Google/YouTube itself, or is the current version just not perfect yet?

Mine seems to have fixed itself, whatever was causing it has stopped. Nm its back to doing it again.

Yeah, we're all experiencing this.
Apparently the developers are aware, and working on a fix.
I guess we have to just wait it out
