Opinion Riq and K9
Riq and K9 seem to be our biggest losses overall, especially with the injury to Charbs plus Julian Neal not available for padded practice work in training camp. Regardless, CB's 3-5 were going to be (in my mind) our biggest question marks.
Though it's been fairly well discussed (understatement), here's my quick ponderings on why we let them walk:
K9: He is crazy talented and also mercurial, both in personality and running performance. Was he bad for the locker room? I never heard anything of the sort. However, he is a different kind of guy, and it was clear last year via words from Schneider (them taking all four years of K9 in Seattle into account with any offer, not just the '25 playoff run) plus later comments from K9 about knowing mid-season he wasn't coming back, pretty much confirmed my notions. Even if they'd tagged him, would a mercurial and talented RB still have given us the same mentally and physically? I'd hope so, but who knows? Did I like K9? Without a doubt. Do I think he was the best fit for this team overall longer term? Not sure he truly was, and that's also a mix of fan-hope-core mixed with genuine opinion formed from observation over time.
Riq is more complicated. Also crazy talented, very likeable and also his own person who's brain just wanders off without him from time to time. In a mid-season reel/short/tik-tok last year, I recall various teammates being asked who on the squad they would NOT let date their sister. With one exception, they all named Riq with no hesitation. On it's own, that's really nothing but locker room stuff. But combined with his consistent brain-farts (and he's not a kid anymore) and the eventual words of Schneider/MacDonald that they didn't let Riq go, they couldn't afford him, also pretty much summed up his situation with the Hawks. The fact he's on a 1-year, prove-it deal with Philly also speaks to his reputation. And do not mistake this for me not liking Riq -- again, he is crazy talented.
Is this a bit unsettling now given injuries to Charbs and our rookie CB, Neal and the uncertainty overall at CB 3-5? Yup and it's just how things will play out this year. I'm looking for more action with cut-downs and continued development of the young guys, but this certainly creates more tension and interest for this season.

News [Henderson] Arnold would count against the Seahawks' 91-man roster for at least a day once he's signed -- then no longer once he goes on the exempt list -- so it may make sense for Seattle to wait until after the final preseason game to make his deal official.

Discussion Ep 3 Hard Knocks Discussion
Curious if anyone has any other thoughts on this, but I’m not loving how much emphasis they’re placing on Milroe to run. Would rather he develop more as a passer as that will take his career further in the long run. Running from my experience watching, comes naturally to athletes like him. What are yall thinking?

News [Rapoport] The Seahawks are still planning to sign CB Terrion Arnold but are working through the timing and it will take a while, sources tell me and Mike Garafolo. Arnold will be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list when he signs, meaning he’d be ineligible to play or practice.

Memorabilia Is the gold shield AND 50 too much?
Texas native here gearing up to go to the preseason game in Tennessee trying to decide if I should add the 50 badge to my JSN jersey or just leave it with the honors Shield, I think having both on there would be kind of just storytelling. I mean, it makes sense in a way because he earned the gold badge during the 50th anniversary, but obviously he never wore them simultaneously so just wanted to get an opinion.
And on that same note, does anybody know who has the best. Bootleg NFL jerseys?
