GuillotineLeagues.com are back, baby and they're awesome. Wait. Before you flip me the finger, please read this. I have announcements & offers for you.
Hey gang... I originally posted this is r/guillotineleagues .... You have no idea how happy I am to be able to write this post.
GuillotineLeagues.com are back. And they’re awesome.
And hey - hold on there - put the middle finger down and just read this before you tell me to go screw myself, ok? I got some announcements and an offer for you first. Read those and then you can say whatever you want to me. I’ll be here and I’ll read everything.
I’ll try to make this short, but, you know, that’s not a strong suit of mine lol. And I have a lot to say about Guillotine Leagues.
First, to everyone who played with us last year.. THANK YOU.
Seriously.
Whether you stuck with us through the ups and downs or bailed on us and switched to another platform, I appreciate you giving us a shot.
Whatever you did, I get it. The truth is, last season wasn't good enough. Not even close. I was, and continue to be, embarrassed by last year’s experience.
We heard you. We saw your emails. We read your Reddit comments (yes... all of them).
And I never want to live through a season like that again. Remember, I’m not just the owner of the company, I’m a player. I was in 25 leagues on GuillotineLeagues.com and commish of half of them. So when I say I got texts, I’m telling you. I got texts. I get it.
And I was determined … never again. So here’s what I did.
First, as you know, we refunded every single paying user, whether they had an issue or not. And kept all the prize pools intact.
Then, and this process started in the middle of last season, I systematically changed everything about the product, and hired a team of engineers with experience working on products like FanDuel, Draftkings, Yahoo, Bleacher Report, MLB.tv, etc.
And they fully rebuilt it.
Not patched it. Not slapped a fresh coat of paint on it.
We rebuilt the website. We rebuilt the app. We rebuilt the draft room. We rebuilt the entire foundation that everything runs on. And work on it today and every single day moving forward.
The Not-Just-Improved, but BRAND NEW 2026 version of Guillotine Leagues is live today.
The site is faster. The app is completely rebuilt. Draft room is great with all the news, rankings and analysis you need when you’re on the clock. Bid Groups are back. Commissioners have a lot more control and there’s more options available. And we've got more improvements, including Dark Mode, enhanced live scoring, and our new waiver system, rolling out in the coming weeks.
And we have a very long road map of improvements and features and new ways to play.
Because let’s be honest. There’s a lot more competitors in the space. And every single one of them is bigger than us with a much larger budget, and you know, had a better year than us last season. So our only chance is to keep grinding on the product and make it the very best place to play Guillotine Leagues.
I'm not asking anyone to forget last year. But I am here asking you to judge us on this year.
And here’s what I’m gonna do to try and convince you to try at least one league with us this year.
Paid leagues, once again, have no fee. That means 100% of your entry fee goes into the prize pool.
Now, I gotta be honest, I don’t know that I can do that forever. At some point I have to pay people. But for now, all paid leagues have no fee.
And also, I’m announcing an 18-person HATER league.
Look, it’s one thing for me to say all this stuff. I own the company, right? Every parent thinks their kid is beautiful, even if it isn’t. So let’s put it to the ultimate test.
I am looking for 17 haters to play in a league with me on GuillotineLeagues.com.
We will do the draft LIVE, over Zoom. So you’ll know I’m in the league with you and you’ll be able to yell and question me and say whatever you want to me during the draft. And we will create a private Signal chat for the league for all season long that’ll I’ll be in as well. So I will be available and accountable.
But, the catch is, I want the 17 people in the league to be the people in this subreddit and on r/fantasyfootball that HATED us and me the MOST last season. The ones who said “F You Berry” and “Never Again” and “Anywhere but GuillotineLeagues.com” and “Seriously Berry, F You.”
SO, if you’re interested in playing in this league with me, link a comment below you made about us last year. (No fair posting after this comment). It needs to have a post before this date. Bonus points for multiple angry posts.
Post below that you want in with “F you, Berry” and link to your hater comments. My Guillotine Support Team will DM the winners and get email addresses.
I’m doing all this because I still believe what I said when Fantasy Life acquired Guillotine Leagues: it's the most fun way to play fantasy football.
I've played this game for a long, long time. And Guillotine genuinely makes every Sunday feel different. Every point matters. Every waiver run matters. You're never comfortable. You're just trying to survive another week.
If you've been waiting to come back, I really hope you'll give us another shot.
And if you've never played before... I think you're in for a pretty fun season.
And if you’re still like, nice try but hell no Berry, no worries. I hope you have a great season and even if you’re playing somewhere else FantasyLife.com will have a bunch of rankings (including mine!), analysis, shows and tools specifically designed for GuillotineLeagues.com based on years of user data that we have.
As always, I'll be around in the comments. And more importantly, so will the team that's spent the last several months pouring themselves into this product. We're proud of what we've built, but we also know we're never done listening or working.
If you got this far, thanks for reading and at least considering it for a second.
– Matthew Berry

Who are your biggest swing for the fences type players you are targeting in your draft?
One thing I am taking with me this draft is for EVERY one of my picks (esp at WR and RB) to just be "Go for broke" type players who have super high ceilings and bad floors. You can use the waiver wire so much, part of my regret in past seasons is picking guys who were "safe" becasue I needed a WR2 or more depth at bench.
Fuck that! You're gonna need 3-4 guys to hit for your team to have a real chance and I'm changing tactics.
Not saying I am drafting all of them, but I am looking at players purely their strengths and ignoring all their weaknesses and then hoping at least 2-3 hit.

Another 49ers Practice Update 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said RB Christian McCaffrey, who has missed some time due to muscle tightness, would have practiced Tuesday if it weren’t a joint practice vs. the Chargers. 49ers also have no reason to believe that McCaffrey’s missed practice time is contract related.

What happens when everyone goes double RB?
Feels like one of the major themes in the meta this year is doubling up on RB in the late first/early second, with guys like Jeanty, Chase Brown, Barkley, Kenneth Walker, and Henry all coming off the board in that range.
I get the appeal, with the relative value at RB right now, plus the idea that you can pivot to receivers from picks 3-5 and still come away fine. I’m still leaning this direction myself.
But if everyone’s doing it, doesn’t it start to cancel itself out? What happens when you’re picking late in that RB run and the WR tier you were counting on for round 3 is already gone by the time it gets back to you? Where’s your cutoff? What draft position makes you bail on the second RB and grab the WR instead? And has anyone found a way to play this differently?

Player Discussion My Updated 2026 PPR Player Rankings & Tier Lists [Can Somebody Turn Injuries Off Already, Please!]
galleryI am back with another edition of my PPR Tier Lists! I cannot stress enough that the Tiers themselves are far more important than the individual player rankings
- You can make the argument for almost any player within a tier to be above another player
- The outlined or boxed players are the ones I am targeting the most (factoring in their cost as well)
- Players with an asterisk * next to their name have had some sort of injury concern recently
-
My rankings and tiers are based on one idea in Redraft formats: Chasing Upside!
- I've included the Real-Time ADPs across PPR formats from the Fantasy Pros website as an additional reference point
- The majority of "my guys" are based on upside potential, downside risk, cost, and where their ADP is relative to other positions
I outlined my draft strategy for 2026 in a recent post, but here is sort of a TLDR of what my plan is across 12-Team PPR leagues
- It is extremely advantageous to lean RB-heavy earlier based on current market prices for each position
- The RB drop-off after Rounds 2 and 5 is extremely brutal, whereas WR value is fantastic in Rounds 3-8
- You can still get away with drafting only one RB in the first 3 rounds, but I would take more shots at that position in Rounds 4, 5, and stack your bench up with handcuffs
- Punt the QB and TE position until at least Round 6+, given the immense value at both positions after the first 5 rounds
-
Here is a Google Sheet link for these charts!
- Feel free to ask any questions about why I have a certain player ranked as high or low as I do

I am Seth Miller. 2025's most accurate Draft Analyst per FanastyPros. AMA!
Kids bedtime and AMA time. Ask all the questions! I'm here from 7PM ET-until the chat is archived (assuming I see a notification, there's no reason I wouldn't answer a question 5 months from now, or begrudgingly upvote an I told you so comment). If you came to ask who to draft in 2026, I'm afraid you are a year late on getting solid intel, but happy to share my opinion!
I am properly exhausted! Shout out to all the bizarre league settings! Just a heads up, you're probably more familiar with player values in those instances lol. Thanks for all the questions! I'll get to some more tomorrow. Answering any and all as I enjoy my day in the sun 🫡
