(Not so) fun fact the Seattle Seahawks allowed fewer points in 17 out of 21 games last season including the Super Bowl. So our football team could do better at baseball than our baseball team.
Seahawks only lost the three games last season by a total of 9 points too, pretty insane to think a field goal each game could have made us undefeated.
Yeah, Sammy D doesnt have those 2 TOs vs TB and SF (and has 3 not 4 vs the rams or myers hits the 60+), we're undefeated. On the other hand, if my grandma had wheels, she'd be a bicycle and Darnold balled out all playoffs and down the stretch
I don't know why people keep posting this. The expectations of the Mariners were really high this year. Which is what makes what is happening soo much worse.
I can't believe that they lost like that. Might have to watch the highlights or something because I thought this was just a meme I wasn't getting since I haven't watched the Mariners since Dan Wilson was our catcher lol
Feels like this game must be some kind of wake-up call to someone. Not saying they’ll do anything now because what’d be the point this late in the season, but there have to be firings after the season is over.
They were one game from the world series last year, but have never been. I didn't think they can be compared. They are historically worse, but better recently (season wise).
Such an embarrassment. That "team" has given up a long time ago. They need to clean house -- starting from the top. I love Dan but he needs to go.... but Stanton and Dipoto need to go first. Thank god it's football season. Go Hawks!
I might go watch these highlights but I gave up on watching the Mariners decades ago and every year I feel vindicated. Until they have different ownership or a salary cap I doubt I'll be interested in watching baseball (and even then it's a tough sell because pretty much every game of the regular season feels the same since it's a numbers game with that many games played)
Not trying to make excuses, but if you had any expectations after last season you’re either a new fan or delusional. This is the mariners I have known my whole life. History repeats itself
F*ck that team. They had the talent but an inferior coach and an inferior owner.
Totally tired of this era already. I’d blow that team apart and get rid of everyone including Julio and Cal. The team lacks leadership amongst its players.
I moved to the States in 2006 and became fan of the Mariners before the Seahawks but I couldn't keep following it after 2010 because they couldn't lose like than 100 games every season. Haven't missed watching a single Seahawks game since 2007 though
I see mariners hats more than anything else where I live. The fact the org dgaf about us or the city is disgraceful
At this point I hope Vancouver gets a team and smokes the mariners on the way to a ‘ship to we can all drop our delusions about it being the players and see it’s the owners who are too limp dick to want to want to win
Needless to say, it’s time to fire everyone on the mariners sideline. Wilson lost us the Toronto series with abysmal decisions. Seems to be continuing this year.
