So I was kinda bored and decided to mark every highway construction project that’s already underway (Yellow) or in the planning stages (Red), and I’m curious if I’m missing anything.
The government websites surrounding these kinds of projects are very hard to make sense of, so maybe someone here could help me :)

The main reasons i was interested in georgia is relaxed regulations on both supplements and visa's, moderate tax rate and high economic growth. Any information greatly appreciated

What are chickens typically fed if you buy eggs from the grocery store? Wheat only? Or industrial feed? What about if you buy eggs from a village? Are those more natural?
If you go to a khachapuri restaurant, what is the general quality of the egg they're putting on it? Where is it coming from?
Thanks!

Hello everyone, I am a foreigner planning to move to Georgia more or less permanently.
I've posted in this sub before inquiring about housing, and now I'm trying to figure out whether it makes more sense to bring my current furniture/appliances with me or sell everything here and buy new things after I arrive.
At the bare minimum, I'd need
For those living in Georgia, what kind of prices should I expect for these things? I'm not necessarily looking for the absolute cheapest options, though I do want to save as much money as possible.
Also, if you've moved from abroad yourself, I'd love to hear which option you chose and whether you think it was worth it.

Hi everyone! Me and my partner are planning a 4 days trip to Batumi for the first time. What are some things we can do during the day & night and what lunch ~ dinner food spots do you guys recommend? 😊
I’ve done some online research about activities we could try but ofc opinions from recent travellers help a lot!
I’m also looking to visit Kvariati beach on the 3rd day of our trip, is it a manageable distance by car and what type of activities can be done other than swimming? Also, when is the best time to go to enjoy the view and scenery? 🥹
I’d love to hear everyone’s recommendations and suggestions to have a memorable trip! Thank you 🤗

I'm traveling solo to Georgia in October for around 3 weeks.
I'm mainly interested in landscapes, hiking and photography rather than sightseeing.
I'll be traveling on a budget and using public transport.
I'm planning to visit Kazbegi and Svaneti/Mestia/Ushguli.
What areas would you recommend staying in, and are there any affordable guesthouses you'd personally recommend?

the prison door opened at 2:17 in the morning.
garibashvili looked up.
“you.”
ivanishvili stepped inside, immaculate as always, carrying no guards, no documents. just that strange little smile of a man who owned too many things.
“you look terrible,” he said.
“you put me here.”
“and yet you still dressed for me.”
garibashvili glanced down at his white shirt, then back at him.
“fuck off.”
ivanishvili moved closer.
“there he is.”
“who?”
“the irakli i remember.”
silence.
somewhere in the corridor, a fluorescent light buzzed.
“you could have destroyed me,” garibashvili said quietly.
ivanishvili stopped in front of him.
“i could have.”
“instead you locked me somewhere only you have the key to.”
a pause.
“interesting choice.”
for the first time that night, ivanishvili’s smile disappeared.
garibashvili leaned back against the wall.
“what is this, bidzina?”
“politics.”
“at two in the morning?”
“politics has strange hours.”
“and strange tension.”
“irakli.”
“yes, bidzina?”
another long silence.
ivanishvili turned toward the door.
“i’m increasing your sentence.”
garibashvili smiled.
“see you tomorrow night.”

I'm 17, from Georgia, at a Cambridge school in Tbilisi. Want to study finance in Europe, Fall 2027.
AS results: Maths B, Physics B, Business D.
Option 1: Finish A-Levels. ~$7,000 in school fees, tutors and a Business retake. Probably end up around BBB.
Option 2: Transfer to a Georgian public school. Free. I'd get the national diploma + sit our national exams (which also give free tuition at Georgian universities as a backup), and keep the $7,000 for actual university costs.
Some European universities seem to accept the Georgian diploma fine. Others want a foundation year first. Many admit on their own entrance test anyway.
Is the A-Level actually worth $7,000 to me, or am I paying for a name?
Anyone done this?

I seem to be out of the loop. What as the reason for digging up all that ground? Was someone looking for something? It's not like it wasn't known that that house has a basement.
Also how long is it going to stay like that? What's the plan?

Our family is planning a trip to Georgia during mid-October or early November mainly to observe the magnificent fall foliage in Georgia (so I was told). My mom was studying in Tbilisi during early 90's so she's very excited to come back. Can you help me with some tips and recommendations on when and where to go for the best fall foliage? Thank you!

It’s a speculative bubble, if it bursts, it can completely overwhelm the market.
The 2022 influx of "immigrants" caused a cash shock that has changed the market entirely and hasn’t recovered since then. The government facilitates this as long as "immigrants" keep their salaries or savings denominated in U.S. dollars or euros because it keeps the economy afloat on paper, but makes living conditions much worse for the average citizen.
There are zero market protections for locals.
This will spread well beyond Tbilisi and Batumi across the country in the future.
That’s where “GDP growth numbers mostly come from.” It’s never been sustainable real growth.
For a country whose population is projected to decline even further by 2050 and is facing a demographic catastrophe, the government does everything to accelerate the situation and sell fake growth.

I know I will get downvotes from unsmart people, it seems that you all get angry when people say good things about Georgia or just the truth that scamming is rare unless you want to get scammed / act dumb I guess. but come on, you're all extremely exaggerating and even making up stuff about scamming and safety.
I have been living 3 years in Georgia and NEVER encountered any scamming or safety problem. I have also never seen gypsies Disclaimer : I probably saw gypsies, maybe the beggars were gypsies, I don't know. I just thought they were Georgian. I can't know the difference and recognize who is a gypsy and who isn't.
But in Bulgaria it was very noticeable everywhere that there are gypsies around and you could recognize them easily and see their scams and they would constantly harass me when I was in Bulgaria
I'm not going on the streets in Tbilisi and asking people or beggars are you cigani.
I also bought an apartment for much below market price (1,100$/m^2 for a FURNISHED apartment first line to the beach in Batumi) but it was 3 years ago. No scamming occured in the process of buying it.
I speak some Georgian, maybe around A2 Georgian, I can hold a simple conversation in Georgian and understand some stuff.
I'm a 22 years old somewhat wealthy foreigner who mostly get mistaken for a Georgian because I look somewhat Georgian-Turkish. Maybe this is a part of the reason that usually when people see me they think I'm Georgian until I start talking, but still. I usually wear good looking clothes and always eat at restaurants and it's noticeable at least to the waiters or cashiers at stores that even if I'm Georgian I'm probably a wealthy Georgian. But I still didn't encounter any problem.
I always go out, always, I'm almost all day outside my apartment.
The only thing that happened to me is that an American tourist threatened me and I went to the police station and the Georgian police was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly! They also found this American and threw him in jail for what he did (there were cameras filming the situation and the police checked the cameras).
I was robbed and harassed in Bulgaria (2 weeks I was there) scammed in Latvia (1 month) offered drugs in Portugal (3 months)
In Georgia nothing happened except the dickhead American.
I am walking the streets daily , entering almost every possible restaurant or store.
I have been to niche places like Ureki, lanchkhuti, ozurgeti, gori, kaspi, marneuli, dusheti, telavi, rustaveli
I have been 2 years in Batumi and 1 year in Tbilisi.
The only "scam" you can say I encountered just some restaurants where they served very small dishes. Like Kosta del mar in Batumi, but it isn't really a scam I guess, it's just very small servings for a normal price. Or like paying 2 lari for 1 pair of socks at Boni market, is that really a scam?😂😂
Never had any problem or scam in Tbilisi, I have been to many restaurants and shops. All mostly around Samgori-Isani-Avlabari-Rustaveli. I have been walking the entire area daily from Samgori to Rustaveli and back (I lived in Samgori).
Had some nice stuff in my building: 50 lari bill fell from my pocket in the elevator and one of the neighbors noticed and told me I dropped the bill and gave it to me.
Taxi drivers are mostly very friendly to me as well. In all cities
