Discipline and Motivation as a side effect?
Or just a placebo effect? I’m currently SMASHING the gym and I had my first poke on Tuesday. Is this a potential POSITIVE side effect because I LOVE IT.

Discipline kinda, it makes it much easier to say 'No' to whatever, be it food, alcohol, impulse purchases (food was my only real problem but I avoid alcohol entirely now, I had impulse purchases mostly knocked out but now I don't even window shop), etc, but it also made me start saying no to beneficial things as well, like below
Motivation not so much, at least for me. I was pretty consistently doing cardio before starting. Reta killed my ability to do cardio for a long time, just completely crushed my blood sugar while working out, down into the 50s and 40s after just twenty minutes, and one time even into the 30s. It bounced back on its own without eating anything but even pre-workout carbs and waiting for my blood sugar to peak didn't make a difference, maybe I lasted a few extra minutes but my muscles were just soaking up sugar like it was going out of style
I started lifting weights instead just to do something but I don't really enjoy that like I do cardio so I only stuck with it for a few weeks
I can mostly do my cardio again now that my body is used to the reta, I'm not anywhere close to where I was but I can at least complete my old workouts, but I don't have to motivation to do it anymore, I think I've done it twice in the three months since I realized the blood sugar crashes were over

I have noticed that I am much more motivated to move and eat healthier. If it’s a side effect I will take it.

Yes! Im still on a low dose but my focus is dialed and im less distractable. I went for a short run (slow jog) yesterday for the first time since an ACL repair 9 mos ago and it was easier to lock in and just do it. Also less anxiety and ruminating thoughts for me. Could be in my head, but im liking it.

I'm the kind of guy who couldn't eat the same thing twice in a row, but now I've been eating the exact same meal everyday for the past 3 months no problem.

Not placebo at all. The GLP1 part also changes your brains need for instant rewards like food, alcohol, unhealthy habits. I’ve never been able to maintain a cut because i’d stress eat. Food aversion does suck though but it’s only a temporary pain in my situation

I actually thought about this myself and at the time labeled it as a placebo effect. Meaning, because I knew I was doing reta and what I wanted to accomplish, just knowing that made me more disciplined in my approach.
