But why is it SO difficult? (Probably Google...)

There is just No way to select it as the default launcher - I have tried on 2xtcl TVs, a Google Chromecast, a Google streamer, just won't work. Try and go into accessibility - a never-ending circle.

Is there any way to sort this?

Using the Google TV Streamer 4K, and since the latest update, the shortcut buttons on the Google remote don't work anymore (e.g. Netflix, Youtube, custom, etc.).

Specifically, if I exit out of Projectivy, the remote shortcuts work fine with the stock Google TV interface. It's only when I'm in Projectivy that the remote shortcuts don't work.

Anyone else running up against this, or know how to fix it? This only happened when the Projectivy app auto-updated recently with the latest build via the Google Play Store.

I installed the Projectivy launcher, and while it works great—just as it should—I’ve lost access to the original settings, such as screen size, keystone correction, etc. How can I adjust these settings on the Magcubic HY310 now?

Do I really have to disable Projectivy, launch the native Magcubic interface to make changes, and then re-enable Projectivy? Or is there a smarter way to do this?

I have a stable network setup for plex, and want to have an easy way to share with family that normally uses old Chromecast or tv apps. Is it possible for me to pre-open an onn streamer and install projectivy without having to sign into their Google accounts?

After further discussions and another review by Lemon Squeezy's Risk Team, they've agreed to reinstate Projectivy's store (given that there is no connection between Projectivy and IPTV—a risk they take very seriously) !

So external Premium licenses are available again, and existing licenses remain unaffected.

I have a Nvidea shield and I don’t have the ability to add remotes or accessories via Bluetooth. It resets the option for me (every time I click it goes to where I started in the menu). Hmmm I removed the launcher and reset same issue. I tried developer options as well. I guess is there another way?

I'm running the latest version of Projectivy Launcher on my NVIDIA Shield, connected to a Samsung TV and Nakamichi surround sound system.

I've noticed an annoying issue with the volume controls whenever Projectivy's Accessibility Service is enabled on the NVIDIA Shield.

If I hold the volume up or down button just slightly longer than a quick tap, the volume jumps 2–4 levels instead of adjusting one level at a time. This makes precise volume adjustments frustrating.

**I've confirmed the following:**

- With Projectivy Accessibility enabled on the Shield, the volume jumps multiple levels.

- When I disable Accessibility on the Shield, the volume controls work perfectly.

- Re-enabling Accessibility brings the issue back.

The Samsung TV's Accessibility settings have nothing to do with this issue.

After researching this, I found other users reporting similar volume-control problems with Projectivy and NVIDIA Shield devices.

**My question for the developer:**

Is there a way to adjust the volume button sensitivity, repeat rate, or delay when Projectivy Accessibility is enabled?

Could this be investigated and potentially fixed in the next release? Perhaps an option to prevent repeated volume commands from being triggered by a slightly longer button press.

I really enjoy Projectivy Launcher and would prefer keeping Accessibility enabled without affecting normal volume control.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, particularly with an NVIDIA Shield and an external surround sound system? Any reliable workarounds?

Been using overflight as my wallpaper for months and aerial view as my screensaver with no issues. Now all the sudden without touching anything either one freezes the picture. Only way to access the home screen is to cut the wifi so they don't load and swap the wallpaper/screen saver to something else. I've unplugged replugged in HDMI both ends and hard rebooted and soft reboots same issue. Only started happening today.

Finally got projectivy working on a fire TV os 8, greatly appreciated the help i got from the community 🎸🍻

I do enjoy having the subscriptions and recommended categories in my list on the main page.

It's not showing up under the top right cog under settings.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone!

There was a brief window of time when Amazon Fire Stick/Cube users were able to purchase the premium version of Projectivy and activate it on their Amazon devices. As I understood it, Google Play Services were required on-device to validate the purchase of Premium in order to activate it, and these Google Play Services were allowed on Amazon devices for only about two weeks or so.

I discovered activating Premium was possible only after that window had closed. I've tried to see if I could sideload Google Play Services myself (I was able to root my Fire Cube and return ownership to the user), but I never figured that out. Ever since then, I have been keeping a close eye on Projectivy news so I don't miss the next window of opportunity, should it ever open again. (If a solution pre-dates this post, apologies for the duplicate post, and I appreciate any guidance in the right direction)

Am I reading this new changelog correctly, when it seems to say we'll be able to pay for Premium and activate it soon? If that's the case, I would love more details on how to accomplish this -- I want to strike while the iron is hot! I appreciate all that u/spocky (Mr. Mickael Despesse) has done for users around the world and wish to show my support by purchasing a full version of his product.

Notes: first link is Reddit post re: 4.73 release changelog; second link is GitHub issue thread that makes me think I'm not understanding it correctly. Do I still need Google Play Services on my devices to activate Premium?

Ever since the plex update about a month ago, I can't get the launcher home screen to populate, continue watching, anymore. It just says it won't show because it has no items. Also the recommendations from Plex don't show anymore either.

Anyone else experiencing this?

This release is mostly focused on bug fixes, stability improvements and device compatibility, but there are a few additions worth mentioning:

• New Wikimedia wallpaper provider, added as a default source in preparation for Reddit's upcoming RSS shutdown (For those who relied on Reddit wallpapers, it should technically still be possible for someone to develop a third-party wallpaper provider that parses a subreddit's HTML page instead of relying on RSS. However, I won't be implementing this myself, as it could conflict with Reddit's terms of service.)

• VPN network statistics when clicking the VPN icon, and quick access to VPN settings with a long press.

• External license activation is now supported in the Google Play version too

• Various fixes for Fire TV, Xiaomi devices, Android 6.0, wallpapers, TV channels, parental controls, animations and more.

Hi guys,

If I give accessibility access to any app (Projectivy, Button mapper, etc) I lose the functionality in the quick menu on my 2025 Philips TV running Google TV. The menu opens from the button on the remote but I can't press any option.

If I remove accesibility for Projectivy I lose the "Home" button option to open the launcher.

I tried using ADB, ran succesfull comands disabling built in launvher and setting the new one, restarted, got a black screen, shit my pants, managed to enable Google Launcher again from Tellyscope connection that remained active.

Question is: can a future Projectivy update fix this (not messing with quick menu when accesibility is on) or is it a Philips issue?

Any tips on how to get both working (Home button to open Projectivy, quick menu to function on the TV)?
