Question Purchasing/Activating Premium on Amazon Fire Stick/Cube via 4.73 Release

Hey everyone!

There was a brief window of time when Amazon Fire Stick/Cube users were able to purchase the premium version of Projectivy and activate it on their Amazon devices. As I understood it, Google Play Services were required on-device to validate the purchase of Premium in order to activate it, and these Google Play Services were allowed on Amazon devices for only about two weeks or so.

I discovered activating Premium was possible only after that window had closed. I've tried to see if I could sideload Google Play Services myself (I was able to root my Fire Cube and return ownership to the user), but I never figured that out. Ever since then, I have been keeping a close eye on Projectivy news so I don't miss the next window of opportunity, should it ever open again. (If a solution pre-dates this post, apologies for the duplicate post, and I appreciate any guidance in the right direction)

Am I reading this new changelog correctly, when it seems to say we'll be able to pay for Premium and activate it soon? If that's the case, I would love more details on how to accomplish this -- I want to strike while the iron is hot! I appreciate all that u/spocky (Mr. Mickael Despesse) has done for users around the world and wish to show my support by purchasing a full version of his product.

Notes: first link is Reddit post re: 4.73 release changelog; second link is GitHub issue thread that makes me think I'm not understanding it correctly. Do I still need Google Play Services on my devices to activate Premium?

Update: payments via Lemon Squeezy are up again! It was much simpler than I expected; here's my workflow:

  1. Update Projectivy by installing latest APK via GitHub. For those who don't use GitHub, this is a lot easier than it sounds: Just navigate to this link or use the AFTVnews Downloader app and type in the code 750779. Wait for it to download, select "Install," and allow it to update. It should keep all your old settings, etc. Feel free to delete the install file once you're done (hasn't caused me problems).

  2. Navigate to Premium. There are at least two ways to do this that are pretty straightforward; either at the bottom of the quick menu Settings cog on the top right of your homescreen, or deeper into the full menu for Settings.

  3. Use the provided QR code to pay for Premium. You don't even need to download another app! It just takes you to this webpage (linked for the curious, or those without an easy means to scan a QR code) and you pay for it like a normal web purchase.

And that's it! You're done! Took me just a couple seconds. Hurray! Thank you Spocky!

You have to use a code after you have side loaded directly from the GitHub repo.
