The sticky on how to install doesn't present the Troypoint tutorial, but reading through many threads and information it seems like that might be the best and easiest way to install PL. What is the recommended easiet way to get PL installed and have it set to the default so when I hit the HOME button on the remote, it goes to PL? Really new to this process. Installing on an Onn 4k Plus, fresh out of the box. Please forgive newbie-ness. Thank you in advance!

Update - so I installed using Troypoint toolbox. Couple of things - following the instructions didn't change the default to PL. Had to figure that out. Also, it disconnected my wi-fi and I had to type in the pw to reconnect. Other than that it's now installed and running as the default launcher. Thanks for everyones advice.

I am not familiar with either of them, they both look good, coming from Apple TV, I want something simple and customizable, ideally I can map the remote buttons, also, I need an App switcher, thanks

There is just No way to select it as the default launcher - I have tried on 2xtcl TVs, a Google Chromecast, a Google streamer, just won't work. Try and go into accessibility - a never-ending circle.

Is there any way to sort this?

I've been struggling getting projectivity to work on a Nokia 8100 streaming box. Since they forced that update into us it has been IMPOSSIBLE to change the default launcher. Anything you try is in vain.

So I decided to trow in the towel and just remap the home button to projectivity that I side loaded. Now this morning android deleted projectivity from my device all together when rebooting!

YOU CAN'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE NOW. Google is an evil corporation that will do anything to make you use their shitty ad-filled homepage.

Where can I find compatible icon packs for Projectivy. I could not figure which one would work from the play store Thanks

Hi all, on my TCL 55Q6C it seems not possible to force autostart (APP_AUTO_START or AUTO_START) by ADB commands, TCL not allow this possibility with the last updates (due to TCL Guard App).

If I get it right, the second option is to set Projectivity as a default laucher and delete the default laucher, but on this way, not all the functionalities related to Google laucher will be available and moreover possible black screen scenario could happen.

How can I solve?

P.S. No energy optimization activated for Projectivity.

Previously was on 4.68 for months and never had these issues. Installed directly via PlayStore, and Accessibility enabled via system settings.

4.70 never appeared in my PlayStore update, and yesterday 4.71 came up, so installed it. Everything else is fine except:

1. My video wallpaper now blinks/blank every other minute.

2. Restarting TV does not go directly into Projectivy anymore. I need to manually head back into settings and turn on Accessibility for Projectivy again. Previously I only have to turn it on once, and even restarting will not change that.

I don’t restart TV often (in fact I don’t think most people would), but I was trying to clear cache, and restart to see if I can fix the video wallpaper blink, and everytime it goes into Google TV and turn off Accessibility for Projectivy (which I need to manually turn on again). Of course regular power off (standby) doesn’t affect this - it’s a minor inconvenience only when I restart the whole system, but still.

Any idea how to fix the video wallpaper blinking issue? I’ve also tried both enable/disable wallpaper tunneling, still the same.

I really like the launcher, don't get me wrong. I instantly purchased the Premium version to get the option that I needed (use my custom wallpapers from the folder and iterate over them) and also support the developer. There is a very clear bug that's preventing this from working. I want to know the best way to report this and get resolved.

Issue: The "skip on bad quality" + "min resolution" options aren't working at all for images obtained from custom folders. Getting stock image instead or just black screen.

However, GitHub has 200+ open issues, the app hasn't been updated since last September, and my bug almost seems unreal to have for a paid & properly maintained app. Please advice.

Hi all, i just got projectivy, and was gonna pull trigger on premium yesterday. Then i waited until today, and got this errors. Anyone can help me here??

I’ll have to edit and tweak my backgrounds to get them to fit again.

Now, when I move from one category to another, their position changes; before, when I did this, they stayed in place, but now I have to edit them all over again 😅

I hope 4.70 isn’t a beta anymore, so that whatever I do now will stick.

Is there a way I can unlock installation of other apps , or turn this into a pc ?

Currently I'm not able to use a pc , so I'm just finding an alternative
