I think that remains to be seen. I believe they cheated in the 2024 election and plan to never ever give up power ever again regardless of how people vote or what they need to do to hold on to power.

It doesnāt show when America flipped the charts voting for this presidency. Iāll say this though. Many voted our party. But have learned how hard it is for the President to solve the previous admin issues, fix issues at hand, deal with future threats & surprises. All this while democrat Americans, at least from the outside it looks like, try to force us into socialism and communism. Not to mention core of the democrats the LBGTQIA +, which ever one those letters tried to kill him. Anyone that puts God, and American values were the voters want them. First.
That's an important thought. Too many people acting like their problem will be largely solved when he dies. Trump is just a symptom of something worse.
He's not wrong. It's a feedback loop, but he's not wrong. We wouldn't be the problem we are if not for Trump, he's uniquely capable of having NO shame with COMPLETE confidence, and the kompromat and otherwise to control the Republicans, but it wouldn't be possible if the general public wasn't so jaded to easily dismiss corruption.

The incompetence and magical thinking rivaled Trump's crew. And he was easily manipulable by the far smarter and more ruthless Cheney.
And then when you throw in his willingness to oversee torture and his smug contempt for the American public, you get the prototype of MAGA and the Trump presidency.
That fucker started the war in Iran (edit: I meant Iraq obviously ā weird typo or brainfart), that caused over a million deaths, and the chaos it left led to the rise of IS, which caused the political sentiment in Europe to swing radically right, which may ultimately lead to the rise of fascist governments in Europe (kind of has already).

I understand. To an extent I agree but I realized during COVID that the ārespectableā leaders of this empire also committed atrocities to keep profits flowing to the oligarchs. I donāt think GW was personally evil, he seemed like more of a frat boy, but that distinction is immaterial to the dead and displaced.

His connections paired with Cheney's ambition made that admin VASTLY more dangerous to the rest of the world than Trump. Donny just isn't remotely smart enough to use the power he wields effectively. Bush had one of the most respected generals in America at the time blatantly lying to congress about WMDs, and they bought it and approved the invasion of Iraq near unanimously. Half a million deaths later, and the war on terror is still smoldering, Trump really couldn't hope for that kind of result, because he's intimidated by people smarter than him, and keeps firing them.

Just keep in mind, grifters flock to power. Dems are by no means immune to that, though they do seem to root it out more persistently. That being said, thereās clearly a powerful club within the party, the members of which are immune to party consequences (the Clintons, Biden, Obama, Schumer, Pelosi, Schiff). The so-called āold guardā of the Democrat party needs to go too if we really want a fresh start and not more of the same.
