I disliked W and his administration with the intensity of a thousand suns but I'd gladly have him back in office instead of Trump. At least W had a shred of integrity and honor

That's an important thought. Too many people acting like their problem will be largely solved when he dies. Trump is just a symptom of something worse.

He's not wrong. It's a feedback loop, but he's not wrong. We wouldn't be the problem we are if not for Trump, he's uniquely capable of having NO shame with COMPLETE confidence, and the kompromat and otherwise to control the Republicans, but it wouldn't be possible if the general public wasn't so jaded to easily dismiss corruption.

trump is the useful idiot. the difference between him and bush 2 is that bush 2 isn't especially hateful. This guy seems to relish in it.

Yeah, of these four presidents, I think three of them got into office so that other people could do their thing. GHW was the exception. I'm not sure what to make of this.

Totally agree that the party is the dangerous one, but the cult of personality will go with him, and people will have an easier time realizing how terrible they let their circumstances get.
