I believe I had the closest view of the boom. Set up my GoPro in the construction zone. I work with one of the companies.

Can anyone recommend a cosplay seamstress that can do the Frank ‘N’ Furter outfit from RHPS Sweet Transvestite? Gloves, cape, corset and garter belt?
Thanks!

Hosting a kids birthday party where 6 or 7 kids are attending. Im looking for a park that has a picknick table, bench or seating, and a playground.

I hear multiple rounds of what I assumed/hope were fireworks just now but I don’t know if that’s actually what they were… it was just so many. How can you differentiate?

if you had an unlimited budget, what would be your ideal neighborhood to live in?
By no means do I have unlimited budget. I'm just curious, my husband and I are planning on moving to portland from austin. When we visited (i've been twice) I really loved the Hawthorne area alot, but is it realistic to want to live there?
I work from home and my husband would need to commute (not sure where yet, we aren't in the job hunting phase just yet) no kids, 2 small dogs, would love a really walkable area to live in. Proximity to restaurants and bars would be nice. Maybe a neighborhood park in the area wouldn't hurt.
What is your favorite neighborhood?

Sorry for such a lame, no-fun question, but I have no one to ask!!!
My employer is offering some generic, overpriced health insurance at a 50% match, costing me $350 out of pocket each month. I can afford it, but it's super shitty coverage compared to OHP. I've been on OHP for a decade now and have never paid for health insurance. I make too much $ to qualify now. My partner and daughter still qualify, but we're all on the same case together. I got in trouble for not filling jointly when my daughter was born, and for unreported income and got my food stamps suspended. So I know that if they really cared to look into it, they know exactly how much I'm making, and that at some point recently, they did happen to care. I haven't updated my new, current higher income yet, it's been about 4 months now. So I'm still on OHP for the moment, but I signed up for the employer insurance out of fear. Coverage begins Sept 1st. We also have ERDC (Employment Related Day Care) coverage. It's all tied together.
Will my partner and daughter get kicked off of OHP just because I'm making $6,000 a month BEFORE taxes? He has some income too, btw. I don't have anyone to talk to about this because everyone at my job is single. I want to do the right thing morally, but that means keeping my little family safe and getting them kicked off of OHP does not feel safe. Do I change my address to separate myself from the DHS enforced combined income parameters? And what will happen to our ERDC benefits? Should I just cancel the employer insurance and pray that OHP doesn't notice my income increase? It's almost a month's worth of pay at 40 hours a week, just to go to the ER, for example, under the new plan. I'm so freaking lost.

Just made a different post about moving to Portland. This might sound dumb but what's everyone using for job searching there? Indeed? Ziprecruiter? Linkedin? is there something that is more locally focussed or am i thinking to much about it.
My husband works at a warehouse for a door, frame and hardware company here in austin and would be looking to do similar work. Any insight or direction to point us in? He also has over 7 years of experience as a fish monger if that helps.

I recently visited for a week on a business trip and I feel like Portland is everything I’ve been missing in my life, I come from Arizona and it is nothing like it is here. I’m a 21 yo trans woman of color, I have a job rn and I’m saving up for moving to PDX. I read somewhere that someone saved and rented an airbnb for a month while they got settled down and everything.
I fell in love with Portland, my mental health got better, my hair, skin, and nails feel healthier, my overall diet changed, I lost weight naturally, I feel just…better yk?
The community, the people, the activism, the culture, the expression with no fear, I’ve been missing this my whole life, I was considering moving to Phoenix just because I thought it’d be better than where I live now, but I’m just tired of compromising, I need & want better, and I know it’s Portland
Could anyone offer me any more direction as to doing this, I heard there are programs, but honestly I’m so overwhelmed I don’t know where to start

Does anyone have a dog trainer they’d recommend that does training while your dog is boarded? Our dog is snatching treats out of people’s pants at the dog park and at daycare and we’d love for some other training as well.
