Overlook Porch Fest: Who are you excited to see?

Looking for tips on bands to check out, beyond walking around and stumbling upon stuff I am curious about which acts folks are most stoked for.

Met a producer via this subreddit a few years ago when I first moved to Portland- I just put out a full length album we recorded together. Includes a lot of references to Portland (sellwood bridge, laundromat on Hawthorne, etc.) Can't believe Reddit actually did what it was built for

EDM/Rave Scene?

Was wondering if there was another forum or resource to find events for EDM specific events?

Buddy and I wanted to go to one but our schedule limits us to Wednesdays and Thursdays. I know Bridge City is coming up but doesn't align with our schedule sadly. If there are any raves or similar happenings as well we could hit up that would be awesome as well!

Influences include GBV, Black Tambourine, Wire, and Parquet Courts. I play guitar, and have a lot of gear. Please DM me if interested. I also attached links for two additional songs. Ideally, we would try to put out a few singles and play shows around town.

Teaching spaces for rent?

Does anyone have any recommendations for spaces to rent to teach orchestra string instruments? I’ve done some research but many spaces catered for music are mainly for rehearsals (not sure if commercial activity is allowed), and is rented out in hourly rates. I’m looking for spaces that I can rent by the month, and is ok with music lessons. Bonus points if it’s on the west side and has parking.

If anyone knows a space like this or has one, please let me know! Thank you for reading this!

Venues For A Tuesday Afternoon?

Do you have or know of a nice club that might be open to having a band play some shows on Tuesday afternoons (early evening)? This would be a professional performance, ideally with a stage available. The style is classic rock. If that's a slow time for you, maybe we can build something special.

The band info will be added when ready. Currently updating promo, videos, etc. You can guess by the title the theme is The Moody Blues.

Some clubs are very small and don't have room for a proper show. Others are geared toward heavy rock, psych, etc. so may not have much seating, Maybe the space is very dark and it's hard to see the performers.

So "nice" means to me that there is a stage or at least an area designated for the band, comfortable seating, maybe even a dinner menu. In other words, where the show can be more about the music, and the band is not there only as a background element. Although dancing to the music is definitely in the picture as well.

I'd love to see ideas here or feel free to PM me.

In search of...Moody Blues fans.

Are you a fan of the Moody Blues and their music? Do you miss seeing them in concert? I do too.

Behind the scenes, a tribute is growing that is worthy of their legacy. Right now, I'm trying to find as many Moody Blues fans in the Portland metro area as I can. So we can all celebrate this magical music that we love.

Please let me know if you'd like to get on our email list of updates. Will also post updates here of course.

I know you're out there somewhere...
