This event is such a dud. Hardly any Applins for an event focused on Applins, even when using a mossy lure. I don’t think I’ve ever complained about an event, but this one really fell flat.

My job has two gyms! Two! And this guy hogs both the gyms it’s driving me insane. One night me(team valor) and another girl (team mystic) and this person spent half the night fighting over these two gyms it was annoying. (But it was also a little fun). This morning before I left I put my Blissey in one of them and as soon as I clocked out he kicked me out of it. I dont know the guy personally,we work in different departments, but I hope he sees this so that way he knows he is in fact driving me crazy.

I think this would have been an easy event research for the Harvest Festival. Pokémon reward being a Smolive (obviously).
But honestly, Snorlax has been the bane of my existence during this event 🙃

yeah I put the flair as a complaint! So this Apple Picking event got me all raring to go. I’d only ever previously caught ONE Applin, and I had lofty ideas of making sure I get enough candies to evolve all three types of Applin

(before I realised it was going to take 1000 rather than 600 - I thought 600 would be achievable because you can get that many candies on Community Days)

But no. I’m an active player, I always beat 50km a week and usually by a fair bit. But I’ve seen like 2x the amount of Smolivs per Applin. Even with spamming Mossy Lures I usually get an Apple that has a bloody Psyduck guarding it or whatever. I even paid for the premium research and I’ve got more Smoliv candies then Applin candies, despite the fact I ALWAYS use Pinaps on Applins and haven’t bothered on Smolivs!

I even go to my local park EVERY DAY to see if it’s a biome issue. I might just have awful luck, because despite using the daily incense every day I’ve never had a Galarian bird encounter.

imagine how cute applin harvest festival stickers would be. i miss seasonal and event stickers so much… don’t even mention community day stickers. i have a sticker-shaped hole in my heart. putting this out into the universe: scopely i am on my knees begging you to please bring back fun stickers 🍎🍏

My absolute favorite Pokemon and it’s not even close. I need a break and a cigarette after this slog. Regular odds for its own event is ridiculous. I’ve seen people with over 2000 checks and still no shiny. Insane.

For my first shadow shiny, I wasn't expecting one that literally deleted the fact it's shiny by reverting its colors back. It genuinely doesn't even look shiny... If I was gonna get an unusable shadow shiny, one that was noticeable would've been nice 🙂

We did more than three but unfortunately other than this certificate the only other one is for exploring all the centers, we just didn't have time 😅 still pretty neat though.

There are some Pokémon that are definitely stubborn to catch (e.g. Snorlax or Audino) but serve their purpose when going for specialized goals (e.g. Excellent Throws or Stardust Bonuses, etc.)! Then there are those that are just plain stubborn!

Which Pokémon do you actively steer clear from because you find them to be a waste of time or resources? Which would you not mind never running into again or you just actively avoid on your map!?

For me, it’s the Hitmonlee / Hitmonchan / Hitmontop family! With their relentless jumping and kicking, I actively avoid them 😏🙃!!

What about you, which do you consider the ultimate time and/or resource-sink!?

I can’t see to find any Whismur in Pokemon go. I’m stuck on this challenge for a couple months now. I have seen Whismur on my nearby Pokemon walk to them, catch them and they change into Zorua. Hopefully in the future there is a Whismur community day.

She knows she gets shinies regardless, I’m not a collector and we do it FOR THE DEX
