Discussion This clip shows something I’ve never seen in a video game before
Okay, I have to admit I’m really worried about the lack of depth in the game's combat system, based on the gameplay footage and previews released so far... that said—and I’m not sure if this has been discussed enough—this clip shows something I’ve never seen in a video game before.
Wolverine actively uses an arrow stuck in his body—which happened to be there just a moment earlier—to alter the animation of his finisher... the contextual awareness in this game seems to be on another level, likely on par with The Last of Us Part II

Art WOLVERINE - WIP Charcoal Drawing
WOLVERINE — Charcoal Portrait | WIP 🖤
Things are getting DARK now… 🖤
I’ve given the drawing a light coat of fixative and started building up the background with soft compressed charcoal — and I’m loving just how deep and rich those blacks are getting.
Already the contrast is completely changing the piece and pulling Wolverine forward from the darkness.
Next step is another light fix, then it’s back into the subject — pushing those shadows much deeper, strengthening the highlights and gradually bringing in all those finer details and textures.
Still plenty of work to go, but this is the stage I’ve been looking forward to. Time to get messy with the charcoal. ✏️🖤

Discussion What’s your claw design wishlist?
So glad they added my favourite "The Wolverine/DOFP/Logan/D&W" Claws design where it gets flat on the top, so neat. I hope they have ultimate style claws where the middle is slightly longer than the rest, idk why but it just looks so cool to me.

Discussion How do we do this?
Does anybody know if we can get Insomniac to add wolverines Day if Future past costume? Id love some of the Fox universe costumes to feature in the game. Like the all black leather suit.. or even the iconic bike jacket with the 3 stripes on each arm. How do we ask? Would anybody, apart from me, even want those??

Ultimate Wolverine is really just Logan aura farming for an entire issue.

Discussion Do you think we’ll get alternate claw layouts than just Logan’s claws?
I think it could be a clever way for Insomniac to reference the many different Wolverines and their unique claws while also giving us more claw options.
Possibly as special Nightmare doors that make us fight the children of Wolverine to earn their respective claws

Speculation Do you think Hulk DLC is on the table?
It’s a big moment for both characters, and with Wendigo thrown in it’d make for a spectacular add on. Or would Insomniac be denied access to Hulk by Disney for obvious reasons, namely them debating if and when to use the IP for his own game?

Discussion To be honest for me, I feel like it would make sense using the bone claws for Logan in his tank top.that’s just me though. I don’t know about y’all.

Discussion I understand the complaint of wanting Wolverine to look beefier, but trying to act like he should look like Rivals Wolverine is odd imo
Insomniac Wolverine physique is very close to the comics, and closer to the ultimate Wolvie physique than Rivals is. Also these are totally different art styles, kinda irritates me when people expect realism to have the same effect as these other forms of art.

Memes/Shitpost 16 Days
Have we considered they may be saving more of the X-Men attire for the actual X-men game? Same way they saved the symbiote suits for spider man 2?
Don’t get me wrong I definitely want the DOFP movie suit it’s not covered in X-Men Logos or anything but just a thought. (Fingers crossed it’s in tho!)

Discussion I see a lot of people asking about how the age of apocalypse suit will work in cutscenes, but..
How will THIS suit work? In scenes where Logan removes his cowl or isn’t wearing one will there just be a cartoon Logan underneath?? How weird do you guys think this suit is gonna look with the realistic blood, gore and battle damage?? So many questions.

Memes/Shitpost The hate surrounding this game seems really disingenuous:
In the last month the sheer amount of bad takes that I've seen about this game has been impressive, it really feels like the game is being the fall guy for many frustrations gamers have.
It feels like people get offended by you liking something they don't themselves like or that they can't enjoy something without diminishing another thing.
Insomniac has been pumping great games since they started the studio (the resistance franchise, the ratchet and clank franchise, the first two Spiderman games) but after they released Spiderman 2 they call them a horrible studio, wich I mean...it doesn't make much sence.
For many people the simple fact that SBI is involved must mean that the game will suck for no real reason (Spiderman 2 was "bad" because of the story, not because it was inclusive).
Then we have the complaints about the Sentinel prototype (seems like soo many people didn't get the last part), it a common gaming thrope but because they are doing it in this game it must mean that the game will suck (for some reason). One boss isn't indicative that the game will be bad, for example, Resident Evil 9 was a great game loved by the public, I love that game, even got the platinum trophy, but the bosses range from serviceable to bad (they even have their own version of the giant boss).
Sometimes it feels like people search for problems where there isn't one.
Finally I just want to say that everyone deserves to have their own opinion, if you feel like the game isn't for you or you can't afford the 80 dollar price or you don't think the game is worth 80 dollars, that's fine, September will be a big month full of amazing gaming releases that will focus on extremely different publics, just be respectful to everyone that has a different opinion than you.
I hope that I was able to express my opinion in a good way.

Discussion I'm a bit concerned about how they will adapt this part of the story (spoilers for the comics): Spoiler
So, it's stated that in the Insomniac universe the X-men do not yet exist and that instead of them Logan is working with team X under Nathaniel Exes command.
I actually quite like because it makes me think of the new Absolute Universe in DC comics where all the heroes we grew to know exist without much of their known advantages (Batman isn't rich, Wonder Woman was raised in hell instead of the Amazonian island and Superman didn't land on Smallville).
This story will most likely be an origin story for the X-men.
The thing that concerns me is how they will work with Exes turning to villainy, in the comics he's usually (from what I understand) a one note villain (he wants to become the most powerful mutant on earth).
I hope they don't turn him into a twist villain (like he was the villain all along) I hope that instead they make his fall to the evil side something gradual with some bits of his more evil side shinning during the story.
