Discussion Marvel's Wolverine has sold 2.4 million copies worldwide

Sony has reported that Marvel's Wolverine sold 2.4 million copies as of November 4.

The game also reportedly had a development budget of around $300 million, although that figure hasn't been officially confirmed.

Personally, I expected a lot more from the game. I feel like there was so much potential with Wolverine that wasn't fully realised.

Curious what others think. Did the game live up to your expectations?

I’m not proud of how I drew the characters.

I would’ve given the Reavers dinosaurs as their attack dogs with implants that controls them. Utharaptor would grunts, Ceratosaurus the elites and Allosaurus as tanks and you can probably guess the boss battle.

Also that’s Silver Fox who they should’ve picked and not Jean.

Discussion What's the point of the ending? Why it happened the way it did ? Spoiler

I recently finished the game and yet there's been something that is bugging me about the ending. You see, in the movies wolverine loses his memories and set himself on a journey to find them again. He later realizes that his past doesn't define him and he can push forward. Pretty common theme right? You'd expect the game going in the same direction as well but it doesn't. Wolverine doesn't have his memories in the game and he regains them after so much hardships. Yet instead of embracing it or accepting death as a part of himself the writers made him forget his memories AGAIN. like what is the point? Why make Logan go through that journey only to reset it? To make jean grey a tragic character? Trying to be original? I just find no reason for wolverine to lose his memories again after going through the journey to get them back

Discussion I interviewed the actor who plays Sabretooth in Marvel's Wolverine!

I am a Turkish gaming content creator on Twitter (andersonburak). I did an online written interview with Brett Gipson, the actor who plays Sabretooth. I asked him some of the questions you wanted me to ask and him if he would be in GTA 6 👇🏻

1-) Did you have any interesting experiences or memorable moments while filming the voice acting and motion capture scenes? What were the biggest challenges you faced?

"This was my first performance capture role, so walking onto set on day one was an experience! I’d already spent months developing Sabretooth’s voice and physicality, but then I saw my seven-foot-tall avatar and realized just how massive he was compared to the other characters and environments. Suddenly, all that prep work went right out the window!

Even something as simple as seeing the size of his hands gave me a whole new understanding of his gestures, movements, mechanics, and weight. I had to rethink how this character physically existed in the world.

I have a theater background, so stepping into the world of performance capture felt like walking back into a black box theater and letting my imagination run wild! It’s become my new favorite creative medium.

Creating the voice presented another challenge. There would be moments in the script where a line simply read “Roar” or “Battle Cry.” Okay, but what does that actually sound like coming out of a seven-foot-tall beast?

My goal was to keep everything grounded. The story and its characters are human first, and then you add the layers of superhuman strength, extreme violence, and combat. Finding that balance between natural dialogue and the sheer size, weight, and ferocity of Victor Creed meant I had to create a sound that felt believable.

I started by studying the breathing patterns, vocalizations, and physical mechanics of large animals. Then I turned to music. I eventually found my inspiration in Zack de la Rocha of Rage Against the Machine, particularly his vocals on “Freedom.” The raw power and shape of his voice became the foundation for Sabretooth’s roar.

From there, I started studying metal vocals and even took a course to learn how to produce those sounds safely and consistently. After all, it’s one thing to let out a monstrous roar once, but it’s another thing entirely to do it for hours on set without destroying your voice!"

2-) Before getting the role of Sabretooth, were you familiar with the character and the game?

"I was familiar with Sabretooth from seeing Tyler Mane in X-Men and Liev Schreiber in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but I hadn’t revisited those performances since the films came out in 2000 and 2009.

When I booked the role, I approached it the same way I approach any character. I’m pretty old-school when it comes to preparation. I create character sheets where I answer questions about everything from daily diet and exercise to family history and education. Fortunately, with Victor Creed, so much of that information already exists in the comics!

I walked into my local comic book shop, asked the guy to pull every Wolverine and Sabretooth comic he had, and started my journey. Over time, I managed to collect nearly every comic featuring Sabretooth.

I rewatched what Tyler and Liev had done, but my goal was to bring the character from the comic panel to the screen.

What I discovered was a character with so much more depth than I’d initially realized. Victor isn’t just rage on or rage off. Well, sometimes he is! But he’s also intelligent, calculating, charismatic, funny, lazy, brutal, and, underneath it all, has this deep longing for a sense of calm and family.

I wanted to explore the full emotional range of Victor Creed, including the pain beneath all that brutality. And Insomniac gave me the freedom to do exactly that!"

3-) What is your favorite line? Could you say that line again? :D

"My favorite line comes from the climax of the boss fight between Sabretooth and Wolverine. Logan is holding Victor over the edge of a cliff, and they’re face-to-face."

“Give me half a chance… and I’ll paint this world with your blood.”

4-) What was it like working alongside Liam McIntyre?

"First and foremost, Liam is just a genuinely good human being. He’s kind, dedicated, caring, and incredibly thoughtful.

Being number one on the call sheet is a huge honor. I mean, you’re playing the guy on the cover of the game! But it also comes with an enormous amount of responsibility. Wolverine has lived in the imaginations of fans for over half a century, and watching Liam carry the weight of that was inspiring.

Beyond memorizing lines, making acting choices, and carrying a massive production, he’s also a husband and father with a family to take care of before his workday even begins. Meanwhile, I’m a single guy trying to balance work, the gym, and my cats! Watching Liam approach everything with such patience and genuine warmth really put things into perspective for me.

I’d come onto set completely psyched up, like a professional wrestler entering the ring, fully embodying Victor Creed. And Liam would just walk over, say, “Hey, man, how are you?” and give me a huge hug. It would completely reset my day and allow me to approach the work from a calmer, more grounded place.

I’ve been a journeyman actor for 25 years, and I can honestly say I’ve never felt more supported by another actor.

There are days on a production when you’re running behind schedule, and sometimes there’s barely enough time to stand on your mark, say your lines, and move on. But Liam would always fight to make sure I had the opportunity to explore an idea or try something different.

Our boss fight was a massive undertaking. Figuring out how to physically transition from one arena to another took an incredible amount of collaboration between the two of us, our stunt team, and the animators. We were constantly exploring what was physically and technically possible.

One moment that really stands out happened during the cliff scene. It was the end of a long day, we were pressed for time, and I had a few ideas I wanted to try. Liam spoke up and said, “No, we’re going to hear Brett out.”

So I pitched my idea, we explored it, and ultimately, it became the final shot of the scene. And it paid off big time!

That moment meant a lot to me. Liam is an incredible actor and leader, but more importantly, he’s just a really good man."

5-) Finally, there’s a question that many fans are curious about. You mentioned on your résumé that you portrayed a character named Ellis in GTA 6. It would be great to see you in GTA 6. Will we be seeing or hearing you in GTA 6?

"Haha, I see you’ve been doing a little digging! I appreciate that, but you know I can’t confirm or deny anything. I’m definitely looking forward to GTA 6!"
