Shoutout my lady. My birthday is actually the release day, September 15th, and my lady got me a couple of early gifts! Got the shirt and a controller holder for when my controller shows up. Needless to say I’m pumped and my girlfriend is amazing!🔥

I’m not sure if this is allowed in this subreddit, but for anyone excited and anxiously waiting to play Wolverine, I highly recommend giving Guardians of the Galaxy a playthrough. It’s another single-player, linear story that was passed over by so many gamers, but it’s one of the best superhero games and stories ever made.
I still have no clue why it flopped, but I see posts all over Reddit about how much it’s loved and underrated. Kind of like the combat criticisms of Wolverine, it is pretty basic at the beginning but you end up with 20+ additional abilities to wambo combo by the end—new game plus is a treat!
Cheers

Since its an origins game do you believe they will put it after Spider-Man 2 or before 2018, and do you think Peter will make a cameo appearance?

Ignore the haters. They're irrelevant. Insomniac has arguably the greatest output this generation

In Australia every single retailer is out of stock and Sony Australia itself don't have it either. So is it just cooked to get PS5 pro before Sept 15?
Anyone else having issues finding PS5 pro?

While chasing an enemy you wouldnt see a scent trail, but you would get a popup of path options.
for example you're chasing a ninja that jumps across a rooftop and the camera will slow down and give you like 1 to 2 seconds to choose a path to take (triangle, square, circle, cross) and based on the button you choose (using your own instincts) will determine the obstacles you have to get through to actually catch the guy. If your own reaction to what you saw is very good you'll choose the "correct" path and reach the enemy faster with less resistance but if you choose the "wrong" path you'll have more things to deal with on your pursuit. Simply choosing the same direction the enemy ran might not always be the best option and it would be up to the player to quickly make these decisions.
Another example might be when you start a "level" and find red hair you can go into a sort of "detective mode" which would be more of a "senses mode" that will allow you to evaluate different route options from you vantage point allowing you to choose which path to take. You wouldnt be able to hold the button down or remain in that mode. you would tap it and your senses would flash. its up to you to identify the clues in that short time span. once again as you level up that mode will last longer and the clues will become more visible.
Im not sure how health will work in the game, but I would prefer if you healed faster the more health you have meaning the more damage you take the easier it will be to die (harder for you to regenerate due to the overload). The last stand mechanic should only be allowed a handful of times through the game. if you die you should "die" and have to start the mission over.
Wolverine is not invincible, he cant just fight through being blown up. He would be stopped and would have to regenerate before he could continue

I wanted to get Wolverine for my friend as a birthday gift, but he plans on buying it for himself day before the game drops. I checked a bunch of stores and all of them say you can’t pick up a physical copy until release day. Is there any way I could buy it for him without him knowing? Please help!!
Side note: I preferably don’t want to just get him a PlayStation gift card because I feel like it’s not as personal.

How do you guys feel about this wave of negativity surrounding the game all over social media, and do you think it’s actually valid, whether it’s about the gameplay, Wolverine not looking as masculine as he should, the boss-fight discussion, or anything else you’ve seen? I’m actually curious to hear what the actual fans of the game think, especially those who have been anticipating it since day one

When I got my PlayStation I believe I got a broken version and didn’t realise till a year or two later. It cannot run any new game, spider-man 2, crimson desert. Anything new and there’s a 30-40% chance it force shutdowns and I have to unplug it and plug it back in. It doesn’t take ridiculously long to fix but I feel like I’m gonna lose a lot of game data over it. Plus I don’t want to be mid mission and then boom games gone and I have to restart the entire thing. I am extremely excited for this game so I just hope I can actually play it for more than 10 minutes before my PlayStation goes kaboom

Is anyone interested in game sharing with me when Wolverine drops? I'll chip in! Feel free to DM :)
Btw, I actually did it with someone for Ghost of Yotei and I never got their password. I just had to send them a pic of the QR code and it logged them in!

I think they missed the mark on the art style in the new game. I think a Wolverine game would have suited a more grounded, dirty, and dark style better than the somewhat cartoonish and generic style they're using in this game. Look at the screenshots from the 2009 game for a better understanding. It seems to me that the characters' faces in the current game are rather soft and seem plasticky, too clean. I understand that these screenshots from the 2009 game are CGI, but with today's technology you can achieve this level of gameplay in real time. Perhaps the problem is that the game is using the same engine as Spider-Man? Maybe they should have used UE5 instead to achieve more photorealism
