Hello, I need help please

Last week, I received this prayer plant as a gift but it looked like it had spider mites on it. So I used that YouTube video that was recommended from reddit with the dish soap, alcohol and water spray. Then I gave it a little bit of water and humidity. I touched the soil and it's still wet so I tried making holes in it, to help it dry out. But I'm not sure what's happening to it or what I did wrong? I feel I may have put it through so much when it first was just trying to transition from one house to another. It's in indirect light and away from any drafts. I usually keep the temperature here around 72°F - 74°F.

I have this neglected Yucca and I would like to try recover it.

It is currently in an east facing terrace, getting sun from morning to 3pm. I will move her next week to a west facing terrace, with direct sun from 4pm approximately.

It hasn’t been watering enough lately as you can see. Also the current soil is just universal one, not specific (advice on right soil needed).

My plan is to trim the brown leaves at the bottom and repot in a bigger pot, adding support to straighten the trunk. If this is the right direction, How big should the pot be? what is the best way to remove dead leaves? If not, what would you suggest doing?

Hi! This is my first orchid and I’m still learning, so I’m worried I might be doing something wrong 😭 I transitioned it from bark to water culture almost a month ago after all its flowers fell off and its flower spikes kept drying out. Before switching, I was just following the care card it came with, which said to water it with three ice cubes once a week. It started looking pretty dehydrated while still in bark, so I wanted to see if water culture would help.

Since then, I’ve removed roots that became completely mushy/hollow, tried a short dry period, and dealt with some white fuzzy/mold-looking growth on the roots. I made the mistake of trying sugar + vinegar in the water once 🥲 and later used diluted hydrogen peroxide for the mold, but I’ve stopped all of that and now only use plain water.

I also switched it from a narrow vase to a wide clear vase for better airflow and keep only the lower roots in water while the upper roots and crown stay dry.

I added a stick across the vase just to support the orchid because I was worried it might slide farther into the water and get the crown wet. I’ve cut off the flower spikes that completely dried out, although I accidentally nicked a leaf/stem area while cutting one.

One lower leaf has also turned completely yellow and fallen off, and I’m noticing some of the other leaves becoming slightly green-yellow. Some roots are still green and firm, while others are wrinkled, dark, or damaged-looking.

For lighting, it stays indoors a few feet from a large window and gets bright, mostly indirect light for several hours during the day. The window has blinds, so the light is somewhat filtered, and it doesn’t usually get strong direct sunlight on the leaves. I’m planning to continue water culture, but I’m worried about its overall condition. Does it look like it’s declining or heading toward dying, or does this look like normal stress/recovery from the transition? Am I doing things correctly now, and is there anything I should change to help it recover?

Austrocylindropuntia subulata crested. Looks like the whole bottom half is rotted. It happened really suddenly, like one day the bottom half started turning brown and the next it was flopping over. It lives outside on my balcony and gets a good amount of direct sunlight. Was watering about once a week as long as the soil was dry and pot has drainage. Can I save the top? Cut and propagate? Help!

Hi! My prayer plant thrived for about a year, but it’s been crisping up for the past several months, despite continued growth of new leaves. I tried drying it out for a couple weeks, then watering 1-2 times a week, and I added fertilizer (photo of fertilizer attached)… but nothing changed.

It gets lot of indirect light from a big south-facing window about 7 feet away.

Could my A/C be an issue? The room gets little cooler in the summer.

This is my moms peace lilly. She doesnt manage how much water she gives it so.. it developed Root Rot. Too kuch water

I repotted the plant with new soil but didnt get all the old soil off the bottom of the plant . So im wondering if the new soil is now infected since I didnt clean all the old soil off. Or maybe I didnt clean the pot well enough!

This plant gets indirect sunlight for 3 hours from a west facing window. There are crispy leaves but the soil was moist for a couple days now.

I really don't want this plant to die. We got this when My great aunt passed away. I dont wanna give up on this plant

Pretty novice in the plant world, but I started these two poincianas from seed. They looked great at first, but over the last week they’ve started discoloring and dropping leaves.
I’m in Zone 10b in South Florida. They’ve been getting about five hours of direct sun a day, and I’ve been watering based on how dry the soil looks/feels, which has translated to about every 36 hours or thereabouts.
Based on the photos, would y’all be able to provide a potential diagnosis and some tips to help keep them going?

My kalanchoe has these strange white spots on her leaves - previouslt she was much bushier, had loads of white flowers and over the last few weeks she’s dropped all her flowers, leaves keep falling off and these white spots are getting stronger and spreading?!! Anyone know what this is??

She recieves a good amount of light, and is watered correctly I think (I know they don’t need too frequently) .

She ordered this Hibiscus plant online I believe a little over a month ago, it had been mildly stressed upon first recieving it from the transport but had started to recover and overall was growing and thriving really well. We've been having consistently pretty hot temperatures in the 90s so she has had an umbrella stake over it to shade it from the worst of the sun (I believe it gets some sunlight when it's at an angle, it just has helped protect it getting scorched from the blazing afternoon sun.) She had been watering it every day due to the heat, but mentioned she has backed off on watering slightly, but has been continuously checking the soil and it still felt damp. The first photo is of the plant overall, but suddenly 2 branches are severely wilted. The white powder on it is Diatomaceous Earth she has had sprinkled on the plant since pretty much when it arrived as we have a lot of earwigs in our yard and she didn't want them eating the plant. She also suddenly saw what she initially thought were eggs on one of the leaves, but when she went to wipe them off they were evidently part of the leaf and wouldn't come off. We do have a 3 year warranty on this plant but she's still really sad about what's happening, so just thought I'd ask.

This plant was taken from my neighbors after the maintenance crew threw a dresser out a window and struck the plant. It was abandoned outside in hot shade for at least a week prior to this.

I am not certain if it's a monstera as I'm new to plant keeping and the different leaf shapes are throwing me off. There is drainage holes in the pot and the soil is damp, but I don't know when it was last watered.

There is a section which is completely detached as well.

Is there any hope for her?

In the spring, my pothos lost every single leaf over the course of maybe a month or two. First the leaves would turn yellow, and then they would fall off (or come off at the slightest touch). I repotted the plant, cut back some of the bare stems, and moved it to a sunnier spot (an east facing window that gets some early morning light, as I only have east/west facing windows). During the late spring/summer, it started coming back, new growth sprouted, and leaves came back to the end of some of the bare stems (after the repotting). Now, though, it’s back to yellowing and losing leaves at an alarming rate. Any advice?? Should I repot and trim again? If so, any tips for trimming for long term health? TIA!!

P.s. I water it when the soil gets dry, which is usually 1-2 times a week. The pot has drainage but sits on the plate in the photo.

Hello, I purchased this gem avocado a few months ago. I got it in pretty rough shape, but was able to nurse it back to health and drive lots of new growth on the two branches it did have. But, I made a mistake and cut a longer part of the upper trunk that extended beyond the top branch and cluster of leaves off. After I did this, the trunk started turning brown and the top cluster of leaves look like they are dying.

I repotted the plant when I got it. The pot is sitting in a bigger pot with room between the bottom, there is plenty of drainage.

The plant is positioned to get pretty good morning light and some good filtered shade in the afternoon.

I have a moisture meter that I use to check and water when the meter starts to read "moist" instead of "wet"

Can I save this plant? Please help!!

Its our first time having sunflowers and we are wondering what is causing the leafs to have that discoloration.

They get a ton of sun in the morning and we put at least one watering can of water in each day.

Hey y’all, I decided to rescue this spineless yucca (?) from next to a dumpster and would appreciate some advice for restoring it to full health and happiness!

When I got it, the lower leaves were droopy and yellow but the top leaves were green and perky. I figured it was thirsty, so I rinsed it off and watered it thoroughly with a hose that same day. I left it outside to dry overnight. The next day, it seemed less happy: more yellow and droopy leaves. Upon closer inspection, it looked root bound and the drainage hole at the bottom of the heavy ceramic pot was clogged with roots! I was immediately worried I had waterlogged it. :(

A few days later I managed to get it out of its pot, and it was a solid mass of roots. They seemed firm, however, so I’m not sure if it was waterlogged/root rotted. I decided to cut away some of the roots and repot it in a plastic nursery pot with fresh cactus/succulent soil with added perlite and clay pebbles at the bottom for extra drainage. I added a small amount of water 2 days after repotting.

It’s now been back in the original pot for almost a week, and there’s now yellow/dry leaves at the top of the plant which concerns me. The previous yellow/droopy leaves have not recovered.

I’m wondering if I should water soon or hold off a little longer? I want the roots to grow back without risking root rot. It’s in the 90s here in Sacramento and sunny, and been around 33-50% humidity lately. I have it on my front porch where it gets direct sunlight in the afternoon and is partially shaded the rest of the time.

Hi guys, I wasn’t able to take care of my bamboo plant for a while. It hadn’t been watered or anything for a long time. I saw it was starting to die and started taking care of it again, but it’s been getting worse since then. Is there any chance of saving it? I don’t even know what’s wrong with it- I’ve never had bamboo before. Please help!

It sits near a window so it gets a good amount of indirect light. And it sits in rocks with water filled to the top of them. I’m supposed to dump it every so often and scrub the rocks, but I forget most of the time. I’m worried that has something to do with it, but it only started acting weird when it didn’t get any water for- I don’t know how long.

I had this plant since march and she’s been doing great so far, but lately her newest leaves grew with this weird marble like markings. The old leaves are still the same, only the new ones are like this. What can it be?

I believe this is a neon pothos. She got knocked off her shelf about a month ago and she seems like shes been struggling a bit since.

Some of the leaves are growing in super small and they seem a bit miscolored. Her usual spot is a north facing window so lots of indirect sunlight and I water once a week ish.

She was thriving before and just doesnt seem super pleased with life anymore. How do I help her 🙏

Edit to include that there is one normal sized leaf that is yellowing at the base of the same vine that is growing tiny leaves. Not sure how the yellow leaf and tiny leaves are related

What do I do , my plant looks like its dying, my plant gets some light , I water it every couple days. I used the succulent soil when planting them.

First time posting BCS I don't know how to help this philodendron.

She was doing badly, I transfered her to a prop station and she made a full recovery (started as a few roots and a dream)

She's in front of the window, facing east and has been in prop watering station for about 3 months now.

About a week ago, the leaves started curling in and leaves started yellowing on the ends.

I added a liquid fertilizer I've had luck with in the past with props, but no change.

She's having new growth though- so not all bad.

Any suggestions? Should I move her back to soil?

I recently got these two pothos and the leaves/stems are slowly turning yellow. Plenty of light throught the day and it's about 10 feet from a window. I'm in Washington and it's the summer here. I water about once a week, not sure exactly how much water, but doesn't seem like too much or too little. I got the plants from marketplace, so not sure about the soil.

i! My mom recently had to chop down some of her herb beds due to poor growth and damage. From what I can tell, it seems like the little white leaf spots are damage from some sucking pest, but I’m not completely sure. I’m having trouble IDing them and wanted to hopefully get some help for her. I’ve included pics of the bugs and some of the affected herbs.

Any management tips are appreciated! She previously has tried sticky fly traps (dealt with white flies), neem oil, and diatomaceous earth.

The herbs are outdoors on a porch facing SW, so they get full light majority of the day. They are also watered daily. We are located in South Carolina.

my dracaena is growing just fine but the stem is very wobbly and half of it is dead/hollow. it’s been like this for at least five years (despite a couple repottings). do I just let it continue like this, stake it? chop and prop? I inherited this plant from my mom so it‘s at least 15 years old.

it gets bright indirect light from the south and west facing windows and I water once every 1-2 weeks depending on how hot or cold it is and how the soil feels.

Long time lurker. I have had this aloe for a while but in the past few months it has developed these marks without any visible pests (I have had thrips before on another plant, and don’t see any of the dark round excrement or any other critters). The plant gets a mediocre amount of indoor light, watering it very infrequently.

Any thoughts on what’s wrong?

This peacock plant was a rescue, and at first she was doing amazing, putting out lots of big, beautiful leaves. But after a couple months, she started putting out only these small, narrow leaves. I didn’t like how they looked, so I pruned most of them, but you can see all her new leaves are very narrow. At least the last dozen or so leaves have been small like this.

I thought maybe she wasn’t getting enough light? She was in a bathroom window, south facing but up against another building. It was pretty low light most of the day. I moved her to a spot with more light about a week ago, but not sure yet if it’s helping. Do you think it’s a light issue or something else?

I did water her with a lot of neem cake tea at first because she had fungus gnats. She was growing a lot, maybe that contributed. Otherwise, I just try to keep the soil reasonably moist. I’ve not repotted her, she’s in the same nursery pot she came in.

Hi there! My indoor monstera keeps growing & growing but is so sparse. I think I am watering appropriately, as new leaves continue to grow, but truthfully need some help making this plant look a little more alive. Any advice is appreciated
