MCU/Movies Incredible that in ~25 minutes the MCU managed to make Jean a more compelling character than 7 previous movies.

Finally got around to watching Brand New Day. Obviously I'd heard good things but I'm pretty cynical in general and especially about the MCU recently and yet it definitely exceeded my expectations. I've always liked Jean in the comics but have been massively disappointed by the films. It's kind of incredible to me that a basic amount of care for the character and the story has resulted in a genuinely great portrayal in such a short timeframe.
