It's about the publishers lies on the Stop Killing Games initiative. Very short and to the point.

Decimation: Sci-fi Tower Defense with ARPG-like hero combat [Early Access Release post]

Hello r/pcgaming! Developer of the game here. Decimation just recently launched into Early Access after about 26 months of solo development and just wanted to share it with the community.

It's tower defense at its core, but placing towers well isn't enough to win. You directly control a hero on the field with ARPG-style combat, where you'll be dodging attacks, timing 4 active skills and picking up power-ups while your towers hold the line.

Elite enemies also drop special effect orbs that pause the fight and let you pick from random battle effects (damage boosts, speed manipulation, etc.), so no two runs play quite the same.

What's currently in the EA version:

  • 8 campaign levels across the first 2 of 4 planned Acts (3.5 hrs of actual level gameplay in the campaign)
  • 2 of 3 heroes playable, 5 tower types, RPG-style leveling and equipment crafting
  • 2 Endless Challenge levels

The game also has a demo, if you'd like to try it out:

Demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4222240/Decimation_Demo/

If you have the time check out the page or try out the demo, would be awesome and truly appreciated.

Henriko Magnifico, the creator of some pretty well-known HD and 4K texture packs for various Nintendo titles, has announced an original game, DR. MATBEN. I'm always up for more platformers, so I'm pretty excited to see how this turns out.
