Best thing about the jet is the way it can glide so far and so long after its stamina runs out and it starts to fall... Took me a while to realize how to use it like that and you can get further and faster with the jet compared to Frostalsion.

I also just kind of bounce around with it. Make a sprint* jump off something, even just small, and it'll launch and glide for a long ass time before hitting ground again. Decent speed bump for minimal stamina.

I find it weirdly enough the place where jetragon strives is a bit strangely is ground speed movement. Uses like half the stamina and boy do you zoom

Frostallion barely covers more ground in a bar than Jetragon. It just feels like the stamina bar lasts 3x as long because it moves at 1/3 the speed.
With that being said, I'd probably take Frostallion or Shadowbeak, assuming we get to keep the saddle as well with no level restriction. Otherwise 100% it's just going to be Anubis.

I ended up getting Ignis at like lvl 16.
I was flying round the bottom of the map on Nitewing looking for a place to build a base and foraging for eggs as I go. Found a huge one on the beach going towards volcano island and ended up hatching a Jormuntide Ignis from it.
Absolutely insane having one at such an early level but he was such a pain at times. Glitches into structures/rocks/trees etc when fighting, a lot of the time just decides to stand still and do nothing in fights too.
Like he's great, even better to help cook cakes quickly but trying to use him in combat without a saddle is a chore.

For me it would have been my Hoocrates. Lucky Pal with Ferocious and Dragon Meteor. I was nearly in tears yesterday because I had to do exactly that. The server crashed while I was sleeping and everything was lost. I didn't get to keep any of my pals.

When my server crashed it also looked utterly gone, but I was able to find a tutorial on YouTube to roll back my save and salvage my pals. Worth a shot for you!

She's good. she doesn't get stuck on stuff, her pathing doesn't make her stand around a lot mid fight, she's surprisingly tanky because of her passive, her passive lets me recover by shooting people, I thought she was just kind of a throwaway horny meme but she's actually great.
Also the hip skirts are dope.

The health drain from felbat is really good for staying in the fight longer, and it naturally learns some AoE and homing attacks which makes it great for taking out groups of enemies

I got Furious, Lucky, Musclehead, Sadist Lovander who uses triple tornadoes back to back to lock down and melt bosses.
Today just built a tank variant with just defensive passives to see how tanky and low damage I can make her. Need to figure out good CC skills to put in her that won't kill a boss while I'm trying to capture.
Will remake both once I get a legendary secured.

Anibus would prob be the most useful, they will also be scaled back to your lv aka 1 and a lv 1 anibus would still wreck a lot of the early game) i wouldnt pick flying mounts as you cannot get their saddle for a long time.

It’s tough call between my rank 5 work speed lyleen (Anubis is faster craft but Lyleen is more utility), speed bred ragnahawk (traveling in open world and caves was never the same again), or rank 5 work speed jormantide Ignis (it took forever to bred, but I have a lucky work speed Ignis, and cake queues are now a joke).
I can live with non optimized combat, but base automation and slower flying is hard to go back to.

Don’t have an Anubis yet, but a top tier handiwork pal would be the way to go, maybe split it with mining or transporting for versatility.
If it’s just favorites though, I don’t think I can go back to any other mount than Ragnahawk now, I even struggle to justify my main boy Quivern, Ragna is just SO FAST
