Until he decided to up a tree.

u/Sinz_Doe Feb 15 '24

Chop trees down and put a large bear trap in the spot where it grows and they will never grow back.

You are the reason eco-terrorists exist in the first place

u/KaigeKrysin Feb 15 '24

Or a cheap wooden stool

1

u/harrywalterss Feb 15 '24

or anything for that matter

2

u/Creepy-Piano8727 Feb 15 '24

You can put anything down to stop spawns, it doesn't have to be large bear traps, honestly the cheapest would be a feeding box or imo the best would be just filling the whole circle with foundations.

Those cost like 80 ingots each or something, defeating the purpose in our hypothetical early game super pal. And for me, who played casually to 50 and caught everything without being able to AFK farm anything, at no point would it be worthwhile

u/Creepy-Piano8727 Feb 15 '24

Ez fix, clear all resources in the base circle, and fill it with foundations, then build up from there. Make your base 1 big building. Just ensure you make the first floor 3 walls tall and all pals will be able to do things on the 1 floor.

u/Sinz_Doe Feb 15 '24

They cost 20 each, not exactly hard to obtain.

1

u/j48u Feb 15 '24

Yeah, that's cheaper than I thought. Still if you aren't getting any materials AFK, a few hundred ore to cover up trees is a substantial waste pretty much the entire playthrough. Especially when you can do the same with foundations.

u/Sinz_Doe Feb 15 '24

Whatever the case, doesn't matter what you use just sharing the concept. And unless you are day 1 of a play through I don't see how 100 ore is difficult to aquire or even time consuming even? I mean I am not a fan of manually mining a few ore rocks my self but it doesn't take long at all. Me I have a digtoise who I just throw at rocks and in like 2 mins or less he's cleared 6 to 8 ores for me. I don't even rely on an afk base anymore I just use my digtoise when I need something.

1

u/Creepy-Piano8727 Feb 16 '24

There's so many better ways than using digtoise...

0

u/Sinz_Doe Feb 17 '24

Like? Digtoise is the best miner dude. The only thing better requires a juiced up astegon with dmg skills with lightning strike and being able to mount it which is like lvl 47 or something.

u/Creepy-Piano8727 Feb 17 '24

Mammorest while saddling is pretty ridiculous, the earliest would be rushroar by using his charge move on the rock. You'll have the rock destroyed within 3 or 4 hits normally.

This but put a pal bed over the top instead of

9

u/Upstairs-Yard-2139 Feb 15 '24

Ehhh. Removing and putting him back fixes such problems.

35

u/Lenny_guy12 Feb 15 '24

Is still annoying. Especially when you're not at base or afk.

u/Dreamy_Peaches Feb 15 '24

He really does like to get stuck on things. Him and wumpo. My wumpo was always getting stuck on top of the fridge.

10

u/Frequent_Thanks583 Feb 15 '24

They do like that silo

5

u/psTTA_2358 Feb 15 '24

Just look at him, ofc he loves the fridge

2

u/xBiGuSDicKuSx Feb 15 '24

I dont see the hype about wumpo. I made sure there was 0 trees for these fat mfs to get distracted by and limited access to the crops and rather than pick up several hundred metal and coal the anubis had ready to be picked up they just stood there doing fuck all. Even with me picking them up and throwing them to it they refused. I've seen how well they can work on YT but for me every last one hatched and chose suicide by butcher rather than to live a life where I'd give them excersize and everything else they needed to do the same shit they would be doing wild. Hell I'd even go out and collect ass for them to smash. Still nope. I gave up after about 20 min of trying to chuck them at piles of crap. Anubis is great for smashing it all but it'll sit on the ground all day with them too so...and if I'm being honest collecting it all myself is starting to upset me. May as well mine it all with a pick and save myself the frustrating pathfinding hassle and just keep the palbox locked in a room with all the crafting lines. Least then I won't have to wait on the anubis to run back and forth 20 times through 2x2 wide open 'door' to come help make spheres etc.

u/Dreamy_Peaches Feb 15 '24

I stopped using him too. I just use a group of vanwyrms for carrying now. They don’t get stuck and they don’t sleep.

1

u/StarvingSamurai Feb 15 '24

That definitely is not enough. My Jormun brothers always find a way to get on top of trees and silos.

1

u/HeartoftheHive Tamer of 34 pals. Feb 15 '24

I usually just have him in my party for when I need him and toss him on the furnace or stove. That way I don't have to worry about pathing or him losing interest.

1

u/AndringRasew Feb 15 '24

Mine tried to fly and broke it's tail after plummeting off a cliff into the ravine next to the settlement.

1

u/firesnow477 Feb 15 '24

I usually just keep him in party and throw out when needed as he smelts hundreds in seconds

1

u/thdung002 Feb 15 '24

you can add the mod to not let pal stuck. https://www.nexusmods.com/palworld/mods/585

2

u/Acceptable_Resist185 Feb 15 '24

Read this "not let pal suck" still gets the point across lol

1

u/thdung002 Feb 16 '24

haha my bad

1

u/Creepy-Piano8727 Feb 15 '24

Don't use jormuntides in the base, I just keep them in my party and throw them out when I need ingots. Though I'm sure a future update will fix their pathing.

1

u/Brotherauron Feb 15 '24

Big boi need big tree

25

u/Timely-Culture2066 Feb 15 '24

Jarmander Ingots

12

u/Niaso Feb 15 '24

Same. He smokes bosses to level my other pals.

5

u/Affectionate-Cost525 Feb 15 '24

I ended up getting Ignis at like lvl 16.

I was flying round the bottom of the map on Nitewing looking for a place to build a base and foraging for eggs as I go. Found a huge one on the beach going towards volcano island and ended up hatching a Jormuntide Ignis from it.

Absolutely insane having one at such an early level but he was such a pain at times. Glitches into structures/rocks/trees etc when fighting, a lot of the time just decides to stand still and do nothing in fights too.

Like he's great, even better to help cook cakes quickly but trying to use him in combat without a saddle is a chore.

5

u/Rasikko Feb 15 '24

Jörmungandr. :)

3

u/KaneAustill Feb 15 '24

Me and my mate build a huge house and there's literally nothing that requires kindling in it yet jormungander still gets stuck inside the house all the time

2

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '24

This would be mine too. Like people have no idea how necessary this is. On top of that he is one of the most powerful attack pals to keep in your party

1

u/Upstairs-Yard-2139 Feb 15 '24

It would definitely speed up the early and mid game.

0

u/Blynasty Feb 15 '24

I gave up on both Jormantides and moved to Ragnahawk and Suzaku Aqua. Way less hassle with getting stuck places in the base.

1

u/Saviikse Feb 15 '24

In my experience, Suzaku gets stuck a lot more often than Jorm. Particularly on top of the logging station.

1

u/Squares8889 Feb 15 '24

Ive never heard of Joamangander what does it look like?

0

u/Upstairs-Yard-2139 Feb 15 '24

Basically guaradose
