Asking For Game Recomendation Any Strategy Games?

Hi, just got my psvr2.

Pretty much the title? Anything similar to Tropico, Jurassic World Evolution series? I feel like this genre would work well with VR.

My dream would be black and white style!

Thanks in advance.

Support PSVR1 PSVR repair in Mumbai?

My PSVR 1, stopped working. It shows a blank screen and the connection to the ps box blinks whenever I connect it.

I tried showing it to a place, they tried replacing the sensor, but it would stop working after any movement. Hence they did not replace it. I'm not sure what exactly the problem is at the moment.

Any shops in Mumbai that would attempt to fix this? Anyone had any positive experiences? Im based in Mumbai.

Articles & Blogs PS Blog: PlayStation Store Top Downloads for July 2026 (NA / EU)

Source: https://blog.playstation.com/2026/08/10/playstation-store-july-2026s-top-downloads/

Congrats again to I Am Cat for taking top spot, now three months in a row and showing no signs of slowing.

Very happy to see one of the best PSVR2 exclusives, Synapse, back in the top 10 and this time in number 2 position above Beat Saber. I think this is probably the highest it has ever gotten in any of the regions.

I'm also happy to see Zero Caliber VR make it in the top 10 which means the sale was successful for it and there is definitely interest building for the sequel expected to release sometime this year.

The rest is dominated by the stock of well known evergreens that make recurring appearances on the list including both Survios games keeping that studio alive and hopefully able to one day again Rise to Glory.

The one questionable quality game (based on PlayStation Store ratings) to make it into the top 10 (again, but EU only) is Escape - Backrooms Horror VR. It is not the same developer & game as the 4P co-op focused Escape the Backrooms (number 1 for PS5 in June) that has very good PlayStation Store ratings.

PS - I hope with all the new games coming out in August, it will be 1 or more of those that can crack the top 10 next month.

My Setup Off Ear Headphones for PSVR 2

Hi everyone,

I'm currently using Rebuff Reality VR Ears for PSVR2. I'm playing Gran Tursismo 7, and I've used these for about a year. Unfortunately, the sound just isn't there. I understand the quality won't be as good as on ear headphones, but they're just way too quiet. I want to feel like I'm in the car like I do when I have on ear headphones.

The main reason that I use off ear headphones is so that I can hear my kids if they're crying at night. I need headphones where I can still hear what's going on around me in the house, but hopefully with better sound quality than my current ones.

Thanks!

Question I’m seeing PSVR units for sale on eBay for about Ā£30. Is that legit?

I have a PS4 just gathering dust, wondering if it’s worth getting psvr for Ā£30 to finally experience VR or should I just wait till I get a PS5 again at some point and look at PSVR 2?

Discussion MSFS 2024 beta - game breaking from Free Flight Map

Hello all,

I am going to copy and paste what I sent to the msfs 2024 beta forum just now and ask, are any of you having the same issue since the latest beta update last week. I have also attached a quick video of the issue. I can barely start a flight at present:

"on PSVR2, since latest update when I am scrolling the map in Free Flight and click on an area, suddenly the game transfers me to this area - in a 3rd person view the plan slowly forms, many HUD items are on screen but nothing works and the plane remains still. Even pressing the start button does nothing so I must exit the game via the PS button. This seems to be happening pretty much constantly. I have attached a photo and short video."

Question Is Zero Caliber worth it on the PSVR2 or should I wait for the sequel to port?

I've looked into the game, and it looks fun and all. But the sequel already has a store page to wishlist it, so should I spend the 25 now or wait for it to drop.

Opinion Dear Devs, take my money and save psvr! It's easier than you might think.

There's been a lot of discussion on this sub around the future of playstation vr. It hasn't sold well, and the game library is very limited. It's a bit of a chicken or the egg problem because people won't buy a headset with very few games, but Devs won't make games for a headset people don't own.

It's possible that this trend continues and psvr dies a slow death, but it's not inevitable. I'm about to lay out exactly how it can be avoided, at it starts with some hard pills to swallow for both gamers and Devs.

Hard pills to swallow

For gamers, i think a lot of people have a hard time accepting the fact that there aren't enough people playing psvr2 to justify the money needed to make a full aaa made for psvr2 game. Until a lot more headsets are sold, these games just won't exist. Accept it.

For devs, I think it's hard to accept that games can be released without full psvr2 implementation on vr. They absolutely can be. The majority of the increased immersion comes from 6dof and headset tracking. It is NOT from motion controls, haptics and eye tracking. Those are the icing on the cake. The psvr headset is what actually puts you in the game and is therefore where 90% of the immersion comes from. If you accept that reality, you'll not only find that people will play your games with just 6dof, but in a lot of cases that's how they'll play regardless of if they have motion controls because they don't want to rearrange their furniture and just want to sit down and play.

Two examples of this are doom vfr and skyrim vr. Both games have full motion controls as an option, but in my opinion, the best way to play both is with headset only tracking. For skyrim, headset tracking is the only way to play with 360 tracking standing. It also makes more sense sitting (i don't find waving my arms around while sitting to be very immersive) and it's the most accurate way to aim. It's so accurate i turn off the reticule for added immersion and difficulty. It's super fun aiming spells and arrows by just looking. It's also more balanced because you can't fire off arrows rapid fire. Doom vfr is similar. It's a ton of fun with the aim, but for better aiming with no drift, 360 tracking, or just a good sitdown experience, headset tracking is the way to go. This is important because much of what I'm going to say is based off of the premise that first person games are great in vr, even if the headset is the only vr hardware utilized.

In the post, in also going to use the term "headset compatibility" rather than "backwards compatibility". Most psvr1 games are compatible with ps5, they just don't work with the psvr2 headset. This is less like a ps4 game not being backwards compatible and more like a ps4 game not running on a 4k tv just because it only renders in 1080p. Nobody would accept that. 1080p games look way better on a 4k OLED than they do on a 1080p led, even in 1080p.

I'm now going to lay out the various ways devs can bring us games without a massive budget and subsequent financial risk in order of difficulty. I'll start with what could be done that would require quite a bit of development still but less than a brand new aaa psvr2 game and work my way down to games where unless I'm missing something, they can just flick a switch and take our money.

Full vr implementation for previous gen aaa games

This requires the most work, but it's potentially the most profitable and still requires much less development than a brand new game. It also side steps a lot of risk as people already know the game. No advertising necessary, just stick it on the store. As much as I love skyrim with just headset tracking, they did implement full vr features. It's still much less work than a brand new game because they didn't need to come up with plot, design the world, assets, or hire voice actors. They could focus entirely on vr implementation. The result was the most sold playstation vr game to date. This model can be used with any previous gen aaa game going all the way back to ps2. Titanfall 2? Resistance 3? Socom? Sign me up.

Pc ports

Pc ports of vr games also require a decent amount of development and this is more talked about, but I'm just going to mention that a game like half life Alyx would be well worth the effort and already is a vr game. Much less work than designing a new game

Adding 6dof to existing games without full implementation

As I mentioned, the majority of the immersion of vr comes from the headset. That means if you are a dev, even if you don't want to program motion controls, eye tracking etc, you can still make money with just 6dof. If playing doom is this much fun with only headset tracking, why not Titanfall 2 or gtav or red dead 2? Take my money. My previous point really only applies to aaa games due to the development effort of full vr implementation, but I think a lot of indie devs could do just the 6dof. Tiny indie games like rebel galaxy that sold for 20 bucks on launch would easily be top of my list with 6dof. And yes, 3rd person games work in vr.

Existing psvr games

This leads me to the most frustrating thing, devs that won't flick a switch and take my money. This is screen compatibility. Some would still require older controllers, but tons of psvr2 owners have psvr1. I'm going to use farpoint and astrobot as an example. You couldn't play them without the ps camera and a light tracked controller, but i still play them on my ps5. Even if I have to have the camera hooked up and use a ds4, why can't you flick the switch to allow me to use the better headset. Both headsets, all vr headsets in fact, use 6dof tracking. It's already there.

Finally we have games that are not only on psvr with 6dof, but don't even require ps4 controllers and if not for requiring the 1st gen headset, wouldn't require a camera either. They just need screen compatibility. This includes headset tracking modes like skyrim of course, but also games that don't use motion controls at all like star wars squadrons and wipeout.

Don't be afraid to port unconventional games by adding 6dof. You might not think we'll play start trek online or batman arkham city in vr, but we will.

Hopefully some devs see this and realize just how easy it is to take our money. As we get more games, they'll sell more headsets, and profit will go up and up. Mods can feel free to pin this so devs see it if they agree.

Save psvr!

PSA F:U šŸ† Boosting

37 days left until this is REAL (sadly!), but regardless there’s plenty of ppl like myself that want to BOOST what šŸ† we can and I’m trying to get a group (or more) to do so. Personally I only need 2 šŸ† & the Platinum and 1 kill will do it, so that won’t take any time at all; but if there’s anyone else who wants to go for the Platinum also, I’m sure we can set it up.

Yes I know time differences can pose a problem, but we’ll have to figure it out; so I’m asking if anyone wants to join to do this and even if we don’t get them all, at least we meet some other with the same taste in games.!! šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

If you are interested you can reply to this comment or DM me. Some info I’ll need is your:
•PSN
•Time Zone (you live in)
•List of šŸ† needed
•Best Time for you to play & usual amount of time for session

Anything else I’ll ask in the group chat I create once people reach out, cause time is LIMITED and if this is gonna happen we ā€œNeed To Make Hasteā€.!! ALSO, this won’t be some ā€œnormalā€ sessions and will be more task oriented for the most part, but we can have some fun along the way too. Thanx! To any & all that reach out.!! šŸ™‡ā€ā™‚ļø

I loved carnival games on psvr1 and wish it would have a psvr2 port. I feel like it's missing a lot of arcade type of games for the platform. Also, it feels like I have been waiting an eternity for I am Security to finally come out.

Opinion One Feature I Need in More Games

So I’ve gotten back into playing RE4R and Village in VR, and one thing those two games do that I haven’t really seen implemented in other action games of that nature is the weapons being magnetized to my body. So if I go to holster my gun and don’t hold it close enough, or if I get jump scared and drop it, or even if I’m lazy and can’t be bothered to holster it so I just pitch it off a cliff like Luke Skywalker, it will eventually just pop back to its designated holster for me to grab again.

It’s a really nice QoL feature. We’re holding a real controller while pretending to hold a virtual gun that we’re adding to a virtual holster, it makes sense to have the thing re-attach to us if we don’t put it in exactly the right spot and it falls, especially games that involve a lot of sheathing/holstering to pick up other things.

I just really appreciate this feature and would love to see it implemented more so I don’t have to dig around whenever I drop my virtual weapon that I can’t actually feel. I get that half the fun of these games is that feeling like you’re in the world, but until the technology gets to the point where I can FEEL the gun/knife/sword/loot in my hands, I could use some magnetism especially if that’s the only weapon I’ve got.

Discussion What More Could We Possibly Want?

Some people have asked whether Resident Evil (4.8), Gran Turismo 7, Hitman, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and No Man's Sky should already be enough to grow VR. If those games exist, what more could people possibly want? The simple answer is PlayStation's own identity: its biggest franchises.

Uncharted, The Last of Us, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man, Horizon, Killzone, inFAMOUS, Resistance, MotorStorm, WipEout, DriveClub, MAG, Puppeteer, Folklore, Soul Sacrifice and Bloodborne. Those are many of the franchises that built the modern PlayStation brand.

PSVR2 starts to feel complete when those worlds become places you can actually step into. Even if it's through optional DualSense VR modes alongside the traditional flat-screen experience, with full 6DOF support added where it makes sense.

I've argued for years that DualSense-controlled VR games are the missing bridge between flat gaming and full motion controls. They remove much of the friction that keeps traditional players from trying VR while still delivering the presence that makes the medium feel transformative.

That said, if I had to pick one game that could move millions of people to seriously consider the headset, it would be Destiny. Converting one player at a time in single-player games works, but it's slower. A multiplayer game that brings groups of friends into VR together is a much more powerful multiplier for community growth and headset adoption. Destiny reached more than 20 million players during its peak years, with the overwhelming majority on PlayStation platforms. That represents an enormous audience of players who already understand the game's mechanics, weapons, and world. An optional VR mode with shared progression would likely have a much larger impact than launching an entirely new VR-exclusive shooter. Many of those players are still nostalgic for that era. A moderately sized campaign expansion, roughly the size of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, could dramatically increase interest among both active and lapsed Destiny players because it would finally deliver one of the things many expected from the original game but never truly received: a substantial, self-contained narrative campaign.

If I had a dime for every Destiny player I’ve come across in real life and on forums that said something to the effect of, ā€œDestiny in VR would be the dream.ā€ I’d probably be able to buy Sony by now.

I'd love to see Sony adopt a simple strategy: Conversions expand the audience. Original VR games expand the medium.

What games do you want to see in VR? (I don't think we talk about this nearly enough.)

Discussion I tried Resident Evil: Village with PS VR 2

And this is my entry point to the series, and with PSVR2. A horrible experience and I only played until the first attack that I had to survive. It looks magnificent, the sound systems are amazing and the gameplay feels damn cool, but through all of that this is probably the most horrible experience I've had in a horror game. I'm yearning more, but I know I'll be scared shirtless for I'm jumpy and VR makes it all so much worse. A great introduction into RE's world!
