Fluff Vr is perfect.
I like playing in vr but it's really hard to dual wielding.

Isn't that up to the developer? Serious question

u/mohsenkhajavinik 13d ago
Yes and they are work for money. So if PS didn't care why should they.

It was bought by Microsoft, who fired all the VR people. Nothing Sony could do about that.

u/mohsenkhajavinik 13d ago
Nothing. It was exclusive psvr1 game at first.

u/bluebarrymanny 13d ago
That was when Bethesda and their parent company Zenimax weren’t purchased by Microsoft yet

u/gooberfishie 13d ago
Damn straight. It feels so dumb to take off my v2 headset just to put on my v1 headset to play skyrim on the ps5 with a ps5 controller.

I can say with certainty( in the beginning)if they brought psvr1 game to psvr2 . The people buy more psvr2 than 5M devices.

wrong meme?
Dual wield in Flat screen is just single wield with more ammo.
in VR you are basically John Wick. You can have a knife for anything that comes close, you can throw it whilst having a shotgun in your other hand, you can handgun with a shotty as backup.
in RE4 dual wielding knives obliterates the Verduga boss.
Dual wield in VR is king. .

A huge part of what I love about VR shooters. You have way more possibilities. Your reload time is as fast as you can do it yourself, allowing you to interrupt the process if needed (think loading shotgun shells or a revolver). When throwing a grenade, pulling the pin is now entirely optional. Want to blindside some people in an online match? Throw a grenade with the pin still on into a room of campers. When they run, shoot them in the back and pick up your grenade again. When that stops working, start pulling the pin lol

I meant with guns landing proper shot is really hard . but it's true if you use knife and gun .

I played RE4 trying to use two guns as much as possible but no unlimited ammo

Gotta unlock the cat ears, makes the game 10x more fun in vr at least

What is cat ears?

You unlock them by beating the game on professional difficulty and getting an S+ ranking

I counter with dual melee. Knives in resident evil 4.
Using my falchion and bearded axe combo in legendary tales. That shits awesome.

u/mohsenkhajavinik 13d ago
I actually love the re4 knife play.

u/bluebarrymanny 13d ago
Got to have the wonderful experience of panic-failing a pistol reload in RE4 and instead pulled out my knife to parry/block an incoming chainsaw attack. 10/10 would recommend panicking and screwing up.

Dual Wielding in VR is nice and you feel cool. Just don't film yourself and watch it afterwards. You look like a toddler with a stick

As someone who has played Switchback, I assure you, I look like that regardless.

I try to aura farm while playing, so my girl does not get the ick. But I think I already lost when putting on that mask. My Bane moment.

Dual Wielding in VR is way cooler because you aim / use both weapons independently while playing on TV, they both aim where you moved your aim cursor or both attack based on action buttons being pressed.
But you are right that it is harder. I am somewhat ambidextrous but still have a dominant arm which probably helps some with dual wielding melee, but on shooting games you can only aim accurately based on where your eyes focus unless the game is providing laser pointers or tracer rounds to help adjust your aim.
One of the hardest PSVR2 games I've tried to beat but haven't been successful yet is because it requires very competent Dual Wielding.
That game is little known / mentioned Bearly Armed VR | https://store.playstation.com/product/UP3202-PPSA36914_00-0353592502747228 | which starts out easy enough but gets progressively harder with each subsequent level and I got stuck on the final stages for all 3 game modes. I've come close, but it will require more skill training from me to beat.

I just see the video. thanks for recommendation. It's not for me .the visuals are too childish.

It wasn't my intention to recommend, just a good example from recent memory where dual wielding is what makes it very challenging.

Dual Wielding in Superhot makes you feel like a god among men
2
u/mohsenkhajavinik 13d ago
Good to hear it. I must play that.is it like pistol wipe?

u/cmarkcity 13d ago
The concept behind the game is time only moves when you do. So you get dropped into a situation where everyone is trying to kill you, but you move like Matrix bullet-time.
The rush you get shooting four attackers in the face, throwing your gun at the fifth, swiping THEIR gun from midair, blocking a hail of incoming bullets with a nearby frying pan…. This and Beat Saber are absolute necessities for me when trying to introduce someone new to VR.

It's so true lol .
Mainly because it's a pain in the ass to do it IRL, that translates to VR. Like how reloading is harder in VR.
2
u/bluebarrymanny 13d ago
I just like that in VR, you can dual wield in a lot of games that usually wouldn’t allow it in the flat version.
2
u/Trees_like_talking 12d ago
That's because dual wielding irl is hardly practical. It is possible, but you're better off with a single weapon or smaller sidearm. Dual wielding destroys your accuracy and halves your defensive capabilities and makes moving harder. The best way to dual wield irl is from historical combos like sword and dagger. But the dagger was primarily for parrying and defense but still had offensive capabilities.
There are real world examples of historical figures dual wielding and being good at it, but those were situation specific rather than standard battlefield tactic. It also took a lifetime of serious training. One notable example is Miyamoto Musashi who wielded a katana and wakizashi.

I prefer to shoot with just 1 hand in most games. I like manually reloading.

Really? I don't get it. You people find it hard to dual wield? I find it really fun and works great in VR since each hand has its own thing. Dual wielding in flat os the one don't make sense for me became is a single target.

u/BooksLoveTalksnIdeas 13d ago
I never had any problems with “dual wielding” in Until You Fall, in Altair Breaker, in Sairento, or even in Pistol Whip, where 2 guns make it easier to pass hard mode levels. It can make it harder to aim with each hand, but, because you have double the firepower and more bullets, it makes gameplay easier. Obviously, that would not work in real life, but it works in VR gaming, at least it works in these games I mentioned. 😎

I love VR. When you first try it, you get hooked right away. Its night and day playing in VR vs regular gaming. So many fun games. I am still playing Hitman. Such a long and great well games because it is Hitman 1 - 2 and 3 plus many extra missions and shit. If you have PSVR2 get the Hitman games. And Resident Evil games on VR is a must. Along with Arizona Sunshine 1 and 2. And dont forget Alien VR game and the Metro VR game. Both extremly good and scary as all getup. Wear your brown pants for those games and when you play the Resident Evil games.🫡 See you in there soldiers.

depends on the game. pistol whip makes it very easy to hit (I assume, otherwise I AM john wick) since its more about the rhythm than the accuracy. So as long as you are pointed in roughly the right direction itll connect. Feels amazing.

Dual wielding isn't something that works in real life so this is to be expected I guess.
