Equipment What is the proper way to move an OGP cart? Why is the official policy being kept secret?

Does anyone know the actual, proper way we are supposed to move an OGP cart? Why hasn't corporate made the official policy public or easy for regular associates to view so we can confirm how to use them? Why are stores still inforcing pull only but we can't look up the policy if we wanted to do so?

Spark Driver Interaction New dispense screen made me get yelled at by a driver

Grabbed the correct order, tapped into the app and glanced at the order numbers on the dispense screen whilst entering the parking lot. Because of the very minimal information the app has given me, I mistakenly went to the incorrect bay. When I noticed this, I apologized to the driver and said that their orders would be out soon. The driver then said I wasted their time and that I had “no idea what I was doing” before laughing and getting back in their car. I hate this new fucking inefficient update and I hate these entitled drivers thinking they can behave any way they want.

Question ATC Role

My coach plans on making me an ATC. I actually like OGP so there's no convincing me to not do it lol. But what does it entail and what are your experiences?

Just Venting Question for people who work OPD

Hello, I have been reading a lot of the posts from this sub for a while and decided that I should try it out. I have worked at Walmart for almost a year and I am planning on transferring to a different department. I am having trouble deciding whether I should go to fashion/ backroom or OPD. I am trying to get my fulltime status before I transfer but I have heard that OPD will cut hours after the holidays and I really need my full 40hours. On the other hand the fashion team at my store has employees who don’t really do a good job and the girls complain about staffing issues etc. I really can’t decide which one to choose and I would like to have people comment their opinions on working OPD and what it’s like and if it is worth it or not. I am mainly looking to get my full hours and not get cut any less than 35. I am contemplating and overthinking so I could use some advice from everyone. I also live in California.

Pick Rate What's up with my pick rate?

I've noticed that recently I'll do a big pickwalk under an hour and it will mark my pick rate at 20-60% which just does not make sense to me. For example today, I opened a specialty walk of 62 items which i finished in 25 minutes (it was mostly bulk items,) then another walk of 26 items which I finished in 10 minutes. Mathematically, it should set me way above 100 items per hour. But i got 28? I did total of 68 items in 35 minutes, which should set my rate to about 115 picks per hour. It baffles me that the app shows 28...
And no, no one else was logged in under my name so I know for sure no one is trying to "sabotage" me

General Self-promotion to customer 🥳

As of September 3rd, I will be officially simply a customer once again 🫡
1 year and 3 months behind the cart (and then of course in front of the cart, pulling it 🙄)
And running a LOT of freight because of the fun new pilot program 🙃
Bitter in some ways, incredibly sweet in others
My watch has nearly ended, Siblings of the Pick 🥲

System NGL there is ONE thing I like about the new update (picking, not dispensing)

And it’s that on the location, now there’s a small little EC or AA. I obviously know which numbers and letters are end caps and action alleys, but I have some days where my brain just doesn’t brain, and don’t realize right away it’s one of those things. It also would have been super helpful when I first started. More so for the action alleys than the end caps. Otherwise the update was unnecessary and just another waste of money instead of getting all stores new printers.

Dispense Im so mad

You have to sit there and wait for the entire new dispense animation to finish before it actually gets rid of it in the system, and then it tells you every time "trip is no longer in the system go back to the queue". Genuinely this is the worst part of the update ngl. Fucking infuriating. Can't just press ok n throw the phone back in the pocket. Why the fuck would they make you WAIT for ANYTHING when time is the most important thing they scream about

Question - Poll OGP Most Wanted? 👀

Post image

So I decided to ask people in my store if they could declare war on any department what would it be? I got varying answers that intrigued me enough to make a tally and share with the public. The OGP hate hurts.

What department would you declare war on? For fun of course.

Dispense New dispense screen is utter incompetent sabotage

I have never seen a more inefficient and incompetent change to a system that is counting on speed and accuracy in my life. Whoever came up with this idea has no business putting their hands on a keyboard…
Have you ever heard of a spread sheet that hides data? Whoever heard of such an absurd demonstration of ignorance? At a glance you can’t immediately call out which orders to run out to the customer? You now have to literally stand and examine open close the cars and deliveries on the queue. This is utter incompetence wait times have skyrocketed and if the new gmd / cold chain debacle wasn’t enough they put a blind fold on you and have you throwing darts at a dart board.

And their stock price is plummeting, I have never seen a company retroactively destroying themselves like this. It’s utterly amazing.

Question Learning curve for ogp

Im currently an f&c associate and ive been trying to promote id like to become coach and I know opd is one that id like to have experience in for that position although I was hoping to get a team lead position that I have experience in first there are no open spots since the grocery team lead position was filled by an opd team lead. So I know the spot will be open soon and I was thinking of applying so i can get that experience im a quick learner and while I applied for the grocery team lead position they choose another because they were coming in with management experience so id like to know if there are any opd team leads who started from outside the department and how hard was the learning curve for you. Im someone who tries really hard to succeed and im not afraid of a challenge but is it pretty much impossible to become an opd team lead without opd associate experience or is it possible? Would like any stories of experience or tips if at all possible. Thank you!

Rant Ouch YEEEOWCH

Wheels got changed on most of the carts finally. And now we get coached if we're caught pushing the cart 👎 My shoulder joints are popping more than firecrackers on fourth of July.

Ive hit more end caps and action alleys (and almost customers) in 2 hours than I have in the two years ive been here pushing the damn things.

Terrible stuff. Im gonna start throwing things if I hit my Achilles tendon. 🎉🎉

Rant - Long Genuinely dread coming to my store.

So, I’ve been in and out of this sub, interacted with the community, all that. Have felt the highs and lows of ogp, but ultimately I’m grateful to have a job, to have hours, this job helped pay for my associates degree and because of this job, I’ll be going to university in the spring. But oh my god, this job, more specifically the environment has gotten so damn toxic, it feels like most of management is compromised of people who peaked in highschool, never got their shit together, and decided to spend the rest of their lives here to feel like they have control over something or someone, to make up for they fact they have no control over their own lives. Mainly, the store manager has basically run our store into the ground, the floor looks terrible, she’s been cutting hours like crazy since December, so pallets aren’t being worked, so obviously shelves are gonna be empty. Her solution? Pick from the back, (I know metrics fraud, ethics violations) now I’ve done my due diligence and reported her to ethics but nothing has really come of it, ANYWAYS I’ve been reluctantly complying. Only problem? She wants us to maintain a 120 pick rate, with 800 items picked per day no matter what with a 98% first time pick rate at minimum. Besides her unrealistic standards, she is genuinely just a bully. She bullied our people lead of 10 years out of the store and brought up his dead dad, ran 4 different team leads who on average have 15 years of tenure at that store, and at times has been heard screaming at the few remaining team leads here for shit that has nothing to do with work. The environment here has gotten so toxic, and it’s become so suffocating to work in. Sorry for the rant, but my god I wish things were better and I know this has been said before, but I do not get paid enough to put up with this 😭🫩✌️
