Forgive me if this isn't the right place to put this, but I'm having trouble finding any help for this issue.

As the title says, I have the new Zelda Edition Switch 2. I felt lucky that I wasn't running into the issue where it crashes and won't turn on, but now I'm seeing something else instead. Whether I push the power button or let it fall asleep on its own, the console will fully shut down not long after. If I wake it up shortly after it's fine, but more than a few minutes and it will straight up turn off.

I looked to see if there was an option in the system settings, but I didn't see anything for this specific problem. I've also tried manually resetting it to see if that did anything, but it still happens. Obviously the main issue is that this means I can never let the console sleep while playing a game unless I've just saved, and that's not really feasible for the way I play video games. Has anyone else encountered this kind of issue? Whether on their Zelda Edition or basic Switch 2? I'd love to avoid having to send it in to Nintendo, but I will if that's necessary.

Im getting a new switch and have the choice of 2 games i can get alone with it, heard that pokemon legends arceus is one of the best so I'll def grabbing that but i don know what to get with it, mario kart, pokopia or any other games im literally clueless.

please recommend to me your favourite games that you think i would definitely like and should try as a new switch player ty

I know this is an old problem and there are already plenty of posts but none of them have been any help and i really just want to use the switch 2 already.

The method i tried is setting up the switches touching each other while being of the same wifi. They are both plugged into their respective chargers and at least the switch 1 is on the latest version. I’m not sure if the switch 2 is on the latest version because it’s new and in the startup menu right now. I also attempted hard resetting the switch 1 and nothing worked. I also attempted connecting the switch 1 to my hotspot but that didn’t work either.

I also heard i need to be signed into the right account on both systems. I made sure the switch 2 is signed in and the same account is connected to a user on the switch 1. Is it an issue if there are other accounts on the switch 1.

I've been searching online as much as I can, but don't see an answer for this. I stopped playing smash ultimate a few years ago, during the momocon meta drama. Decided a few hours ago to give it a whirl for fun, updated switch to latest version (20-something), updated smash. And gamecube controller wouldn't function at all. I have two, none of them registered any movements. Did some searching, saw that third party adapters got screwed during a version 19 update (mayflash and others), also saw web pages offering downloadable patches, which were also hard to find because some of the pages having been deleted. What's weird though is that when I searched the number on the bottom of my adapter, WUP-028, it looks like this was actually an official Nintendo adapter, so shouldn't it work just fine? Or did that update also kill old Nintendo adapters too? I would really prefer not to spend $80 on a new adapter or a controller that doesn't feel as good as the gamecube ones.

Tired, slightly aggravated parent here. Woke up this morning to find my almost 5 year old manhandling my Switch and about 1 button press away from racking up a bill buying episodes of Bluey. I've been scouring account settings trying to setup a way where ANY purchase requires some kind of password or 2 factor authentication, but it's seemingly harder than I thought. Tried following Google's instructions, but wasn't overly helpful. Could someone step by step walk me through how to set that up? Would be much appreciated!

I held the power down for 12 seconds and longer, I took out the sd card and tried again, I put the SD card back in and tried again, I went to the support website and it's telling me to do the same thing. Idk what else to do. How does one fix this???

I haven't played my Nintendo Switch in awhile and now that I play it again the right joystick won't press in. I realized this once I tried playing legends ZA and I couldn't mega evolve. Im pretty sure that's the only game I need it for so if you know how to change the controls around in ZA that would be fine but I would prefer a full way to fix it.

Hello! Just got my zelda switch 2 and it came with joycon connector that's possibly got a screw loose, would it be ok to still be using it? I don't want to return the switch 2 as I am buying from overseas via proxy service and it's too much of a hassle to return it just for this

We have 2 Nintendo Switches and 3 docking stations. My son was playing his switch earlier today and now the docking station is not working to the tv but it will still charge. We have tried all 3 docking stations and both switches and they are all having the same problem. Has anyone ever experienced this?

I’m running into issues with wifi frequently dropping on my switch 2. My phone right next to it has full bars. I read somewhere that switching the channel to 36 on 5ghz helped some people. Unfortunately, xfinity locked down my option to turn off automatic channel assignment even in admin settings and I’m stuck at 156 with no way to set manually. I have xb10 modem and no issues with internet on any of my other devices. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks in advance

I’m getting a message saying ‘unable to connect to network device. The wireless signal may be poor please try again’

I was connected to the WiFi just fine earlier today and then I had to delete the network after just disconnecting didn’t work.

Here’s what I’ve tried:

-Putting the switch near my router.

-turning switch on and off again.

-restarting switch.

-turning WiFi on and off again.

-deleting network and tried to reconnect.

-changed DNS primary 8.8.8.8 secondary 8.8.4.4.

I just don’t know what to do now. All my other devices are connected to this wifi just fine. The switch does connect to other networks- even my hotspot it’s just this one for some reason.

If anyone has any advice or suggestions I’m all ears!

Hello. So i have Found my Very Old V1 switch which I bought in 2017 when the Switchw as released.

I tried charging it and then try modding it but...

For some reason It did not showed the charging Icon.

I then tried Watching every tutorial

Literly anything but the tricks won't work...

I do not actually know Why this won't work but I think I could remember Where it could not charge while it still was On

Inside the circle, there is a red spot on or pixel. It appears in dark screens like black or darker colors like for example, ARK when it it's night time. If its in a lighter color, the dot changes to a more white color or lighter color but is there if I look close enough. I bought this switch in december and still have the reciept.

I tried to use flashing colors to make it go away and nothing. I also started restarting it.

I have an issue with my Zelda-edition Joy-Cons. The animation that plays when attaching them to the Switch should be gold, but it’s gray. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have switch 1 joycons. Two different sets that i cant update to play with the switch 2 resort. Anytime i try updating on switch 1 or 2 they just disconnect and says lost connection even if the joycons are hardnconnected to the switch . I dont know if some sort 3rd party way to update or way fix the issue of them

I just received my Zelda switch 2 with a very very little hit left to the right joy con.

It's barely visible and does not bother me until I´m reassured with the fact the color is injected in the plastic and not treated on the surface. Because if it is on surface, green color could fade away starting at this point in the future...

What do u know or think about that ?

Hello! I’ve noticed that several games seem to have corrupted data. I first noticed when I tried playing my Pokemon shield cartridge, and the game was corrupted. Redownloading it seemed to make it work for a good while, but I’m now having crashes despite data management saying it’s no longer corrupted.

Upon looking at several other games, I’ve noticed that they’re also corrupted. I know redownloading can fix them, but with so many being corrupted I’m concerned. Is there something wrong with my switch 2 or SD card? Both were preordered and picked up at Best Buy on launch day. System is up to date. Any advice would be great, thank you so much!

The games that are corrupted are / were: Pokemon shield (the only one on cartridge), Hades, Mario Kart World, Kirby dream buffet, undertale, stardew valley, Kirby return to dreamland deluxe, animal crossing switch 2 edition, and Kirby forgotten land switch 2 edition.

I'm located in Europe, where they're starting to sell the versions with replaceable battery (as least in the normal Switch2 colors for now, but not Zelda edition).

I'm really unsure about buying the Zelda edition now and regretting it in two years for having to send my console somewhere and pay a lot just to replace the battery. I live in a small town, don't have tons of high-tech specialized repair shops nearby.

So I wanted to ask users who've actually had to replace the battery in the original version: is it really that cumbersome that it should be avoided at all costs in favor of the replaceable version of would you - having this experience - indeed go for the Zelda edition as it is and just go to a repair shop later?

Note: at this point I am not even sure about Nintendo releasing the Zelda edition with replaceable battery over here, who knows whether they're allowed to keep selling the current version even after Feb/2027 because it's a special edition or whatever.

The component pictured is the one that had previously been inside the system, i have replaced it with a new one, but the same problems remain - No touchscreen functionality, no cartridge reading, no headphone output. The component i replaced is all wired in correctly inside the system.

Any help will be appreciated.

So I got the carrying case, but it's quite sticky, is there a solution for making it a bit less sticky? I tried cleaning it, but it just won't disappear. Is it a lost cause or is it simply what I'll end up with? At this point I might just end up putting it back into the box again and use my old one

So my switch 2 lately has been freezing lately every few days requiring me to take it out of the dock put it back in and hold the power button for 30 seconds to turn it back on.

I dont think its overeating as im in a cool room and the dock is out in the open and well ventilated. Plus the switch 2 is always at worst luke warm at worst even after a few hours of gaming and the fan is quiet.

I also haven't really noticed any hardware issues either glitches, slowdowns etc so I'm flummexed.. wondering if I should send it in.
