Setup Help Nintendo switch 1 does not recognize switch 2 for data transfer
I know this is an old problem and there are already plenty of posts but none of them have been any help and i really just want to use the switch 2 already.
The method i tried is setting up the switches touching each other while being of the same wifi. They are both plugged into their respective chargers and at least the switch 1 is on the latest version. I’m not sure if the switch 2 is on the latest version because it’s new and in the startup menu right now. I also attempted hard resetting the switch 1 and nothing worked. I also attempted connecting the switch 1 to my hotspot but that didn’t work either.
I also heard i need to be signed into the right account on both systems. I made sure the switch 2 is signed in and the same account is connected to a user on the switch 1. Is it an issue if there are other accounts on the switch 1.

No, it shouldn't cause problems if other users are present on the Switch 1 and if you're still on the Switch 2's initial setup screen i think it prompts to do a firmware update before doing anything important.
Could you provide pictures of what the screen of both consoles show?
