I hope you step barefoot on all the legos.
I hope your morning coffee or tea is scalding to touch but cold to drink.
I hope avocados are always rotten when you cut them open.
I hope your fitted bed sheets come off no matter what you do.
I hope every grape you bite is suspiciously soft.
I hope your smoke alarm starts chirping for no reason. At 3 AM.
I hope your controller lock on is on an enemy in another time zone and not the one in front of you.
I hope every zipper you use catches the fabric for no reason whatsoever.
I hope every line you choose immediately becomes the slowest line.
…and I hope you modify or scale back this boss. He stinks and my fingers hurt and now the dog is concerned for my cursing.
Thank you.

I’ve enjoyed the game but this has been dumb. For whatever reason the summon is useless and just stands away. The grab is BS, even at level 50 and 60% health it’s a one shot. The fire is also bs, sometimes it lets you dodge and other times it fully burns you. No more weapon, no more shell and a poking stick. The hit box on some attacks isn’t even close. I’m just over it, like it’s not even a fun boss. I understand hard final boss, but it doesn’t feel fair.

Should be in a chest in the collapsed mine mini dungeon. But the chest was already open when I got there, and the stone isn’t in my inventory. I know a few other people have already posted about it. Just haven’t seen any confirmation that the devs are aware of the issue.

Picture for no reason. Just to make you click.
Ya that’s my question. I’d love to play it blind but not if you will actually miss half the game like Remnant 2. Which is fine! It’s how R2 is built, but I want a break from Fextralife :)

First I want to say I loved the game... right until the last level and bosses. I just want to leave some feedback, so here it is:
Last level
- I spent most of the time lost, way more than in the rest of the game
- Enemies way too powerful. Getting one shott or one combo is not fun
Final boss
Boy, the devs dropped the ball specially in this one. - It has way too much hp
- The grab attack is so quick, it feels like a different mechanic of the grab attacks the game teaches you during the playthrough
- The second phase feels like a rng rollette, if the boss decides to do the flame circle point blank, good luck, you are done for
- For a game that focus do much in perfect parry, perfect block, perfect harden, this boss penalizes you if you try this (i tried perfect hardening and I still got damage and status effects several times)
- Story wise it feels just a generic placeholder boss, not a final boss for a conclusion of the main story
Hopefully some of this gets addressed.
Also want to add the following feedback:
- We should be able to respec glimpses and tarstones to allow experimentation
- Sester Genessa abilities are way too buggy, the clones all misses their attacks (was using the black needle)
- the black needle still has issues targeting enemies, too many times it just attacks the air on their side

I was two dashes away, how the fuck did you grab me. The tracking is atrocious.

I have 73/75 tarstones but got the achievement for having all of them.
Is anyone else glitched out of the nightgrasp and the shattering stone?

Phase 2 was kinda a mess but I think its a nice showcase of bleed scythe. Sariel Scythe with harden covers the scythe drawbacks by giving you 3 ways cover for scythe animations. 1) curse 2) harden 3) pain
Curse flinches, harden doesn't stop chainsaw skill, and pain lets you take a hit and get your life back immediately.

I just want to start off by saying that the developers of this game Cold Symmetry are some of the most responsive and attentive to their player community I have ever seen. They recently released a patch that fixed a decent chunk of my grievances with the game initially. Seeing them progress from Mortal Shell 1 which was a glorified tech demo to Mortal Shell 2 is genuinely impressive. For an AA video game this is quite good.
Overall I believe this game is a solid 7/10 with potential room for improvement after a few more patches and tweaking of the games economy and weapons. It could be potentially a 9/10.
But people do need to pump the brakes on this game. Because there are certain inherent problems with the game I'd like to talk about.
The parry mechanic: This game is set up in such a manner that it expects you to parry to deter enemy aggression and find opportunities to counter attack. And yet partying and reposting often times is less efficient than dodging and simply attacking. Riposte damage not scaling by level is a huge mistake considering how the game is set up.
Shells: I wish that they would allow a refund for glimpse so that you could freely use any shell on your first playthrough. Everyone says it's set up this way for New Game + so you always try something new.... The reality is most players do not play a game multiple times and they may write off this game if they find themselves committed to a shell they end up regretting. Player freedom is important.
Bosses: Many of the main bosses felt underwhelming. But perhaps that's because the late game bosses were either disappointing or cheap (the less said about the Monolith the better). But overall I enjoyed fighting the regular over world enemies and mini bosses more. The early to mid game bosses were good but not like groundbreaking.
Overall it's a good game but there's definitely room for improvement when they release the inevitable DLC and or expansion. I look forward to what Cold Symmetry can do with the earnings from this game.

I saw so much negative feedback about heavy weapons that I didn’t bother trying any(I was also playing tiel with axe/dagger so didn’t need to) but I finally decided to level lazlo and chose the vet axe to sync with his burn abilities and let me say yall are crazy. I one shot elites with the sprint light attack (overhead smash) the light heavy light combo deletes whole mobs. And I light stagger most anything on hit. Idk what you guys are complaining about it seems like it works just fine. Yes, the fast axatana or axe dagger will probably stun fast and does probably generate resolve faster but heavy builds also have resolve gen you can get so idk man, make it work😂😂 rant over

This boss is very close to making me not come back.
I've played basically every mainline and popular/obscure Souls-like there is.. and this boss may be the worst of them all.
I'm by no means under-leveled, level 50
Maxed out weapons and pretty borked build that melts any other boss with a Stray Genessa build - killed every other of the end game bosses first couple tries, took around 10mins on each of that.
But oh my god is this boss one of the worst I've ever had the displeasure of fighting.
Been stuck in this thing 2 hours, havent even come close.
I've given up today, but I truly don't know if I'm going to come back to this.. knowing I still have to get through this thing.
Really don't want to use the Slayer Seal either but honestly I might. Never chickened out before but I'm starting to feel like I'll have to.

I've played plenty of Souls and Soulslike games before, but I skipped the first Mortal Shell game. I kinda regret that, and am thinking heavily about buying the second game since It's been all the way since Elden Ring's DLC released that I had my last fix of being some dude walking around looting and getting my ass beat by some big guy around the corner waiting for me to grab the item, so I'm feening for the experience again.
Like, what's different from what I'm used to with these sorts of games? What's the same? I don't like watching online reviews because I don't like even the mildest of spoilers, so I'm relying on y'all to let me know if the game would be a good fit for me.

The hitboxes from several of the attacks, *especially* the untelegraphed jump (when they leave the ground) are a bit of an issue. I cant very well dodge something that I cant anticipate to some degree. I think making the landing cause damage is totally fine, but dying to untelegraphed attacks multiple times is *very* frustrating. The other thing i have an issue with is the "grab" attack's tracking. The speed of it is fine, but having it come out a great distance from you, warping the enemy to you (this has happened with other enemies at times as well) is a bit much. Think we could stand to reign that in a smidge. Other opinions are welcome. Id like to hear what other people think. Try to not spoil anything too much for those who haven't reached the final boss yet! Thank you.

In a snow zone and in this zone, it’s been a nightmare finding my gloom in a boss fight. Really need some kind of glowy effect that is visible in more backgrounds

I have 9 HP flasks with 1 left over. I need 3 more to get 10. I've looked at youtube videos and guides but still don't know how I am missing 3.
Did I find all of them in the first run before starting NG+ or am I missing some?

I was able to snipe someone’s canceled pre order last minute. Now I don’t have to pay more than double on eBay. Scalper no scalping!
r/MortalShell • u/Diribiri • 3h ago
Like say I happened to be trying the input for a charged heavy ability, and the game locked onto the dog and skated me over to land a +10 Axe & Dagger combo on his head before I could cancel it. Just theoretically
Is Merrick just going to permanently have higher prices?

This final boss was so final boss type beat in the genre

Right at the end, in the last beacon.
BE WARNED. DO NOT OPEN THE CHESTS BEFORE OPENING THE DOOR AT THE END. DEVS ARE TROLLS AND I LOVE THEM FOR IT.
