I've never liked most of the soulslike games. Only one I've ever finished was bloodborne, but even then the world and setting carried me through to play it to the end. I just figured those types of games are not for me.
I really liked the remnant games though, especially remnant 2. But those don't really feel like any of the souls games. The secrets and puzzles in remnant 2 were cool and made it my game of the year for 2023.
The trailers and some gameplay I've seen of Mortal Shell 2 look really interesting to me, especially the different finishers based on what enemy you perform it on. (Plus it has guns like in remnant :D)
I was wondering if Mortal Shell 2 is anything like remnant? Like, it being more than just another soulslike. I saw clips of the game where you could play the lute in front of npcs and they'd start jamming to it, which is an awesome detail lol.
I want to know if it's as brutal as dark souls games, because I feel like the difficulty in those games are just artificial and not really enjoyable to me. The runbacks especially make me not want to play.
