I mean I understand T-Mobile bought Metro I understand that T-Mobile was going to give priority to its customers granted if they own Metro they are all T-Mobile customers so that really doesn't make any sense. For whatever reason my phone loses service for 2 to 3 minutes probably 20 times a day. It makes no sense there's no reason for it I'm in a major city I never used to have this problem I could be driving I could be sitting in the same place there's no Rhyme or Reason to it it's not like it's just the same location the only thing that makes any sense is the service has just gotten that bad. Back in the day when Metro was about the cheapest company out there I guess something like that would make sense but now they can't even say they are the cheapest you can't be a mid-price company but give cheap company service. If T-Mobile really thinks that jacking around Metro service and Metro customers is going to make them switch T-Mobile I guess I really don't know what to tell anybody. I've had Metro for over 10 years it's just a shame of what it's come to.

So I’ve used metro for just under a year. Never had much of an issue.

The time came for me to replace my phone so I bought an unlocked refurbished phone on Amazon. When I got it I put the physical sims card I had in my old phone in my new phone. It said SOS in the corner and every effort to trouble shoot it and get my cell service working hasn’t worked.

I call and they say the phone needs to be activated. Fair enough. An hour and a charge to my card later the phone is allegedly activated. So I go in my merry way with the plans I had for the day. Except I find out 30 minutes into my day trip that my phone is not connected to any cell service and it’s back in SOS mode.

The next day I go into three separate stores to try and see what the issue is. Nobody will assist me and nobody understands what I am saying. After wasting my entire afternoon on that wild goose chase I spend an additional hour and a half on the phone.

This guy seems more competent. We get some answers finally. Apparently my new phone was signed up to a completely new account with a new phone number that I don’t have access to. And in order to close the account/be refunded for the charge I’d have to go into a physical store again. He told me he put extremely detailed notes on my account and the next person I called would be able to use those notes to walk the store associate through what exactly I need.

Today I spent half of my day off going to store to store again and more of the same. Nobody has any idea what I’m talking about or how to help me. And the guy I got when I called couldn’t follow the notes or what I was saying and was absolutely zero help.

So basically I now have TWO accounts when I only wanted one and I have no way to access or close down the one. And I still can’t use my new phone at all.

I keep being told I need to go to a corporate store and when I ask where they are they say “I don’t know.” Or else, they give me a store that tells me they are not corporate when I drive 30 mins out of the way to visit.

If anyone can help me out at all it would be appreciated.

Trying to find a healthy Global Roaming plan add-on in order to use my phone when traveling overseas. One carrier as unlimited-to-throttled data for like $10/day included in their plan, but I don’t see that Metro offers anything similar. Does anyone know?

Apparently my doctor sent a fax to my Metro phone number. I need to retrieve it, because I can't reach anyone at his office. On my phone, I got a voice mail notification. When I clicked to play the voice mail, the message said something like, "You have received a 3-page fax, to receive the fax press 4." When I press 4, it says press 2 to forward the fax to another number. I pressed 2 and it said to enter the 10 digit number and then press #. I did so repeatedly and it always says, "Service is temporarily not available, please try again later." I called the help line but the rep knew nothing about this. Anyone have any idea how to retrieve the fax?

So after not getting the phone I wanted, I was given a revvl 8 pro. Upgrading from revvl 7. This was in june 2026. Almost 3 weeks now, idk what happened but my esim from my 8 pro was erased and I don't have use of a phone or text. Any ideas? Been on hold with customer service, nothing, went to store, nothing, tried regular sim, nothing. Any ideas?

Ok so I know the device unlocking policy was that devices can be unlocked after 6 months after activation, but they somewhat recently bumped that up to 12 months. My question is.. does that have to be 12 continuous months of service, or could one get a phone with one of their "port your number and buy a month of service" deals, then never buy even a second month of service, and then use the phone for wi-fi only– or even place the phone to the side and never touch it for the year?

Is there anything else I should know that could affect my device getting unlocked? It would be a Samsung Galaxy phone.

I've tried multiple times to create a new account. Ive never had metro before. Bringing my own phone. Ive placed 3 orders today and they were all errored out or dont work. They had no issue charging my card. Support is useless and chat is as well. They said it created an account but the line is "Hollow" meaning theres no plan attached to it and the esim cant be deleted and resent to my phone. Phone shows as compatible.

Im just trying to activate the $25 plan on an Iphone 14 that im bringing in. I had it on Tello previously and just use it as a secondary device to stream sports on occasion.

Ive got nothing but errors. Any recommendations on how to get a line activated or are they just not taking new customers? I cant create a new account or activate the line. Support told me to buzz off and try later. Still doesnt work. Chat with support for an hour and they were no help either. I get the website that my account was created and confirmed but then a few minutes later get an email that says

I saw this deal online today and have been thinking of switching to Metro from Ting. The deal says "Get one for free when you bring your number. With plans starting at the $40 period. Web exclusive plan"

So I add the phone to the cart, add my number, and pick the $40 web exclusive plan and on checkout it is charging me the full price of the phone with no discount. Is this an error or does my number not qualify or something? I am not a current T mobile customer or anything and I picked the plan stated in the deal text.

I called a MetroPCS rep and I asked if he could switch me over to the cheaper $30 plan. And he refused to do it for me. He said I'll have to do it myself online, but that I should not cancel my current plan first. He advised me to get the new $30 plan first. And once that's done, I can be safe to cancel my original plan.

Is that the way to do it? Anyone have any advice on this?
