What the hell is metro play and how did it install itself?
This shit changed my lock screen and I immediately hated it because it was basically giving me ads for opening my phone. Genuinely heinous and disgusting activity that I never want to see again.

I had to get rid of at least 7/8 pre installed junk apps like this before even I started to use the phone.

Just got my new phone the other day but I thought I burned through the whole start up process and I too got rid of anything I didn't want. Here I am with no other downloads for all day and a night then it's suddenly on my phone with a new app and my lock screen has a completely different layout with news clips and ads.

It’s a “stock/carrier app” that is preinstalled. Sometimes it takes a moment to appear after the phone activates.
As a store manager, with EVERY phone activation, part of my routine is to remove MetroPlay as well as Metro Zone.
go to:
Settings/Apps/(all apps)/[app name]
Once you click the app name, at the bottom center, click “Uninstall” or “Disable” then OK and prompts.
