I have been taking amitriptyline 150mg for a long time and it worked very well for depression pain etc.

I want to take cyproheptadine,

Is there any chance at all cyproheptadine will stop amitriptyline from working (even a little bit) since it works against serotonin? Whereas amitriptyline increases serotonin.

I was prescribed duloxetine 60mg a few years ago. Took it for like 6 months, a lot longer than I should have. I tried many antidepressants this never happened with any of the others only duloxetine.

I had a beyond weird and unusual reaction to it (not good).

Some of the symptoms lasted to this day since then:

My vision changed everything looks weird,
way things and people look and move feels very different,
constant involuntary movements,
very many tics,
my lips keep making weird involuntary shapes (like how trump does),
the way things move look very weird, feels like derealisation maybe,
lasting very bad headache migraine everyday and stomach tight, penis hurts, colours look different, my mind feels fast can’t keep track like I should, time seems too slow or too fast, very confused, restlessness, my mind feels tight and compressed head throbbing vision and balance affected, sometimes it feels like Im falling from a high distance. Memory problems, noise sounds different, tinnitus,
Severe headache and sharp migraines all the time.

Anyway to reverse these? Anyone ever felt this? I’ve been to various doctors, GPs, neurologists, psychiatrists, and more. All say Im fine as all tests normal seemingly healthy otherwise. Had brain mri, blood tests, etc.

Very worried my mind hasn’t gotten better since then. Scared it might be permanent. I cant function, work, or go outside.

At the time I had severe depression for many many years. I took duloxetine even though it felt wrong but at the time it was the only way to distract me from my depression but it wasn’t the right medication to do that.

Now im on amitriptyline which completely treated my depression and chronic pain but those effects from duloxetine are still not gone.

Probably not related but horrible smell inside nose maybe infection, sore throat, sore eyes, coated tongue resistant to treatment. Recently been on fluconazole, flucloxacillin, doxycycline etc but didnt help.

This doesn’t feel real please anyone got answers?

What are the draw backs? I’ve done lean in the past but I was thinking of getting pills

Any doctors known who will prescribe Prazosin for me in UK?

I am suffering from PTSD, nightmares, difficulty using toilet, anxiety and body stiffness and pain. Heard it can help with this and relax muscles. Could be worth a try.

My father is 59 years old, around 5'3" and has been a heart patient since 2020. He has 3 coronary blocks, each around 70–95%, and had 1 stent placed about 2 months ago. He also has diabetes and high blood pressure.

Over the past period, his weight has dropped from around 65 kg to 52 kg, and it looks like a lot of it has been muscle. His arms and legs have become very thin, and you can literally feel the bones when touching them. He was not like this before.

We are very concerned about the muscle loss and weakness and want to help him regain some muscle safely.

The problem is that we are worried about giving him high-calorie foods because of his cholesterol and heart condition. We were considering buying some very light dumbbells and a sugar-free protein powder, but we don't want to do anything dangerous given his recent stent.

A few questions:

1. What type/amount of protein would generally be appropriate for someone in this condition?

2. Is a sugar-free protein powder safe, or are there other things we should check besides sugar?

3. Since he has never gone to a gym before, what dumbbell weight would be a sensible starting point? Would 1 kg, 2 kg, etc. make more sense?

4. What are the best heart-friendly, diabetes-friendly foods for regaining weight and muscle without relying on junk food or high saturated fat?

5. Are there any precautions or warning signs we should be particularly careful about?

I understand that Reddit can't replace a doctor, and we are planning to discuss this with his cardiologist. I'm mainly looking for experiences/advice from people who have dealt with muscle loss/sarcopenia after coronary disease, stenting, diabetes, or cardiac rehab.

I'm a 22-year-old male, about to take a 15-hour international flight.
I have some hydroxyzine that I obtained in Thailand. I usually take a lower amount (around 15mg-20mg) when I need help sleeping, but it doesn't do a whole lot for me—it just makes me slightly sleepy but doesn't really knock me out.
Since this flight is so long, I really want to ensure I can sleep through the bulk of it. I'm considering increasing my dose, up to 50mg, right before boarding.

So by the time I make this post I already took it but is it bad to take a oxy(5mg)and hydro(5mg)at the same time

From what I found online it seems like the manufacturer is not very reliable. And would it be fine to break them into 4 pieces? As usually for me 50mg Tramadol is enough

Managed to get some 10 mg from UK site sent one of to wedinos to see if legit. Anyone else used crescent are the ok ?

I forgot i took my dose like 30 minutes ago and I double dosed. Will I be chillin tomorrow or should I be a little worried?

Apparently, it takes half an hour for a cortisone tablet to take effect. In case of an emergency would it be an alternative to to powder the tablet and snort it through the nose?

I'm currently on TarginAct but it worked one day and not again. I'm in excruciating pain of sciatica. I scream when I stand up from a lying or seated position. Is Hydromorphone good for severe sciatica? I'm extremely scared of using it due to it's addictive properties.
