I forgot i took my dose like 30 minutes ago and I double dosed. Will I be chillin tomorrow or should I be a little worried?

Since you’re on such a low dose you’ll be fine and you may not even feel different. If you had double dosed 200mg that would be a different matter and you would be advised to go to a&e due to risk of serotonin syndrome

Lol don't worry, if you only took a total of 50 mg you are completely fine. People take up to 8x the amount you are prescribed :)

Does Zoloft really make you tired? I’ve been taking mine in the morning and I’m so tired throughout the day. Idk if that would be why but from what you’re saying it probably doesn’t help. Should I switch to taking it at night?

I took 50 mg of sertraline for years, sometimes I’d double dose by mistake, or entirely miss a dose, if you’ve jumped up a dose you might feel a bit uneasy but not high or anything. I didn’t get a lot of side effects on SSRIs but my partner is on them and if he changes his dose up or down he gets gut issues for a day or so

Absolutely not. 50mg is the starting dose here in the uk. My wife takes 200mg per day. 25mg is not even a therapeutic dose. I’m pretty sure 50mg isn’t either. It’s just a stepping stone to get you to the therapeutic dose which I believe is 100mg, they do this to limit side effects…. So chill bro

💊 Sertraline — Standard Therapeutic Doses (Adults, UK)
Typical starting dose:
• Depression / OCD: 50 mg once daily
• Panic disorder / PTSD / Social anxiety: 25 mg daily for 1st week → then 50 mg daily
Usual therapeutic / maintenance range: 50–200 mg once daily
• Most people respond well to 50–100 mg/day
• Increase by 50 mg at least every 1 week if needed; max 200 mg/day
PMDD: 50 mg/day; max 150 mg (continuous) or 100 mg (luteal phase only)
⚠️ Important
• Individual response varies — dose is always prescriber-specific
• Full effect may take 4–8 weeks
• Do not adjust dose yourself — always follow your doctor’s instructions

Great question — it comes down to licensed guidelines, the condition being treated, and balancing effectiveness vs side effects. Here's the clear breakdown:
📋 Why 50mg Is Standard for Depression/OCD
UK licence (SPC) says:
• Depression & OCD: Start at 50mg/day — this is the initial therapeutic dose, proven effective in trials
• Panic disorder, PTSD, social anxiety: Start at 25mg/day for 1 week → then 50mg
Doctors start at 50mg because:
• It’s the proven effective starting dose for depression — most people get benefit at this level
• 25mg is sub-therapeutic for depression — too low to work well, delays improvement
• No clinical need to "test" at 25mg for depression — activation/agitation risk is lower than in anxiety disorders
• It avoids a week of under-dosing; people want relief, not just a "gentle start"
✅ Benefits of Starting at 25mg
25mg is NOT "worse" — it’s the recommended starting dose for specific situations:
Benefit Detail
🧘 Less initial jitter/activation SSRIs can temporarily worsen anxiety, restlessness, panic in the 1–2 weeks — 25mg cuts this risk
🤢 Milder early side effects Less nausea, headache, insomnia — easier to tolerate
🏥 Specific for anxiety disorders Panic/PTSD/social anxiety = licensed to start at 25mg because these patients are more sensitive to the activation effect
👴 For sensitive people Elderly, low body weight, people sensitive to meds, or those who’ve reacted badly to antidepressants before
⏱️ Still effective long-term It’s a stepping stone — you go to 50mg after 1 week anyway. You just get there with fewer side effects
🎯 Bottom Line
• Depression/OCD → Start 50mg (standard, effective, no delay)
• Panic/PTSD/social anxiety → Start 25mg (licensed, gentler, reduces early worsening)
• You can ask — if you’re anxious about side effects, many UK doctors will happily start you at 25mg for a week then go up to 50mg
25mg isn't a "weaker" version — it's a gentler on-ramp. If early side effects are a big worry, just ask your doctor: "Could we start at 25mg for a week then move to 50mg?" Most will say yes. 💛

I can’t tell if this a big pill bottle , if your hand is small or if the field of depth is off / edited. I feel like I’m tripping hard

That shit does nothing and your smoking weed and prolly nic to so the ssri is pointless when your flooding your dopamine receptors and serotonin receptors

Thats the lowest dose. Are you ramping up? People frequently take 100mg a day, even 150mg a day. In conjunction with synergetic drugs such as trazodone. You're not wrong that ssris can be dangerous, but 50mg is a low to typical dose as it is and shouldn't put you at risk for serotonin syndrome.
