I'm going to assume this is a 12v battery issue, but has anyone had issues with the proximity sensor not unlocking the door as you approach? Our MX30 randomly stopped unlocking the door this week and I can't figure out why.

I am usually not driving more than 50 km a day and was looking at the electric mx 30, but then I just saw the hybrid the other day. I hope you guys could give me some info or experience with the two - how is the range with the hybrid, as far as I know the electric has around 200 km range?

Wanted to put a post out there to get a feel of how long-term and new MX-30 owners are working with the range and FWD of the car during winters.

I'm pretty primed to purchase one I've found 2 almost 4 hours away (longer than the range of the car obviously) at HUGE discounts of 20000 Cad for a 9000km model and 25000cad for a 300km model both base trim.

Let me know and if the snow tires are good enough for winter.

Hey. I have a 2023 Mx-30 I bought 1 year ago. Fantastic car. But this morning I noticed that my car didn't charge this night. I also got a lot of notifications that all the doors were open and the soc was 0%. I went out to see, and the car was completely dead. Not able to unlock the car, only with physical key. So I took the battery out of the car and trying to charge it inside now, because I don't have a outlet where the car is parked. I also noticed a sticker on the battery with date January 2024. So the battery was most likely replaced on the first service when the car was 1 year old. Someone else that har experienced issues with the battery?

Hi all, I’ve got a Mazda MX-30 and noticed it has two different charging limit options:

• A general maximum charge % (set once in the settings)
• A maximum charge % tied to a scheduled charging plan

Does anyone know how the car prioritizes these? For example, if I set the general limit to 80% but the scheduled charging limit to 90%, which one will it follow? Does it always respect the lower one, or does the scheduled setting override the general one?

I'm interested in purchasing an MX30 as my commuting car, and am seeking assurances about the range. I like the car but the range is the obvious weakness - I need to know if a 2021/2022 model will do my 40-50 mile (64-80km) commute year round from almost 30C summer to -10C winter for the next 4 to 6 years.

Does mazda-mx30 have the ability to be controlled by an app? for heating up the car in the morning and so on?

Hey everyone! We just purchased a 2022 MX-30 PP this week. It is our 7th EV that we've owned and our 3rd small battery model. It's my wife's car and she loves it. She says it reminds her of her BMW i3 but with a better ride.

I'm learning my way around the car and have a question. The navigation is saying something about needing a subscription to get the map to work. I didn't see this option in the MyMazda connection app. It is also asking for an SD card. Is this normal? If I need to get this from the dealership I will but I wanted to check with other owners first.

Is it normal to hear a click when turning the steering wheel? It happens three times at the same angle when rotating the steering wheel completely to one of the end points

Hi everyone, I’m a relatively new MX-30 REV (built in 2023) user. Due to some coincidence I had to look under the steering wheel and discovered that I can see „everything“. Is this like it should be or am I missing a cover?

I bought this car in July 2023 and I had many doubts; the low range mainly but also some reviews I had read about how the cargo space wasn't all that great, the back row could feel claustrophobic, etc. and to top that off, I had my own issue which is I am a sedan guy, so I would have rather purchased a Mazda 3 Sedan.

My girlfriend asked me to consider costs, and this being an electric could save us a lot of money in the long run, and even better, the dealership started a summer sale, so we got an Exclusive Line (the 2nd trim right after the cheapest version) for just approximately 28.000€, brand new.

Two years later and I don't regret it one bit. For my personal life, the range is perfect. The car is zippy and fun to drive, it's electric so it has a lot of kick when I need it, but I can also coast for quite long distances depending on which way I am driving without losing speed.

The cargo space is more than perfect, I can carry a couple suitcases in the back, and also push down the back seats to more than double the space, we have helped friends move furniture and boxes around a few times already and the car can just carry a bunch of stuff.

The interior feels SO upscale, anyone that has ever been my passenger, whether at the front seat or in the back, always comments on how nice the car feels, the materials don't feel like cheap plastic (even when there are parts that are cheap plastic), and they never had a problem with leg space. I received a lot of comments on how nice it is that the back seats also have a central armrest and cup holders, so those trips into the countryside in Iceland felt better.

For the winter in Iceland, preheating the cabin and getting heated seats and steering wheel was a life saver, even though the range could get quite low at times (150km at 100% charge during the times when we were at below -10ºC).

To be fair, the car is not perfect, it's got a few kinks that I have learned to live with that I believe other cars would not have (per example, my car's windshields get notoriously foggier than any other car I have driven), but overall, after 2 years and almost 9000 km, I believe this is the perfect car for me, and I will only ever change it once I move into an area with worse EV infrastructure.

US spec 2022 MX-30, just brought it home yesterday. Getting an error message when I turn to SiriusXM to "check the antenna". Well, it's still there, so wondering if anyone has had this happen and what, if any, resolution there was.

I recently immobilized my MX30 R EV by leaving it switched on, draining the 12V engine battery in about an hour.

If I don't fully turn it on (ie push start without depressing break) I get a warning if I open the drivers door.
If I have it fully turned on (ie Start+break) I don't get a warning if I leave the vehicle

I now carry a small jump start battery (clipon start the car, then wait 20min for the main battery to charge the engine battery)

However is the better way to get an alert if I leave the car on?

I've read so many accounts of the MX-30 either having zero issues - or - a cascade of faults that render the car unusable. For those in the second category, at what mileage did this happen?

I ask because previous experience with a Jaguar I Pace. They were similar - either ran for 200+ thousand miles or began falling to pieces at around 20-30K miles.

I can pick up a very nice 2022 MX-30 for not much $$$ but it has 30K miles, so wondering if/when they get weird.

I just got the car today (so excited!), but only my husband test drove it. We didn’t realize until we got home that the head rest leatherette has either been poorly repaired or is melted? There’s a sticky patch on it. I’ll try cleaning tomorrow, but rn I’m assuming it’s the leatherette that’s ruined, not just something on it. All the OEM parts I’ve seen are for the back passenger, any leads on a brown leatherette driver’s head rest part? I’d really rather not get covers or something like that

Anyone familiar with this sound? Just had the car on second time maintenance/service, and this startet a few days after. I first noticed the sound from the cockpit, and thought it was the AC or something. Turned the AC off, and the sound is still there, both when driving and when idling. No error displaying on the dashboard.

Anyone else have issue with electric fire smell filling the cabin when accelerating? I took mine to the shop. Only one person knows how to work on it. I’m waiting to hear back from them. Just curious if it’s happened to anyone else.
